Sam was too much in a pain to see the notification. His right hand was fractured and his legs were bleeding. His HP even dropped by 3. He took out a healing lotion and applied it to the wounds to heal and also drank half a health potion to recover his HP.

Soon his injuries gradually started healing. He wrapped his fractured arm which was much better than before, in a bandage. He grabbed the dead body of the big rabbit, storing it and fled from the crime scene...

What Sam didn't know was that 5 minutes after he left, a furious white rabbit searched the whole area and trampled it. The rabbit saw the dead body of the baby rabbits and roared wildly attracting a horde of other rabbits... The white rabbit was twice as big as the grey female rabbit before. It sniffed the ground probably to remember the smell of the person who massacred these little rabbits...

Sam was in no idea that he was in big trouble. He rushed past the jungle to find a safe place to rest for an hour or so to heal the injuries before he could resume hunting...

Well as a novice hunter and a poor student he never knew that blood eyed rabbits were extremely loyal to their partners. They would kill the killer and later kill themselves to avenge and unite with their dead partner...

So it was natural for Sam to be in trouble in future...

After some minutes of running, Sam finally found a conspicuous space with tall trees and no bloodsucking grass. He leaned against the tree as he drank the half of used health potion. He glanced at the system bar to see his HP reached 9/10. All was needed for the fractures to heal, after which he would have full HP. It would take another 10 minutes for that...

As his injuries were healing, Sam turned around to look at the surrounding... The place had some tall trees and sunlight was enriching the place from within the gaps of tall trees...

But, except for his breathing, no sound could be heard. The place was too silent... yes too silent... and the silence was so creepy that Sam got goosebumps...

Suddenly Sam's heart skipped a bit as he suddenly dodged to the side...

woosh~~

A swift tongue slid past him...

Sam was horrified. If not for his sudden instinct to avoid it, the razor-like long tongue would have pierced his heart.

He turned around only to find no enemy around. He felt like sitting on pins and needles around this invisible enemy...

swish~

Again the tongue slid towards him. Sam could hardly dodge when it grazed past his abdomen.

"Argh"

Sam fell to the ground in pain. His mind became clouded with pain.

"No, this can't be! I can't die here!" thought Sam crazily!

Somehow lifting himself, Sam ran out of those deadly trees at full speed. He clutched his abdomen as blood flooded his pants and ground. The razor-like tongue left a bone-deep gash on his abdomen. Even his internal organs were injured by the attack.

But the only thought Sam had was to run and run for his life. He didn't turn around or check his injuries but fled at top speed. He understood what that creature was! It was a level 3 green-eyed chameleon. It's a slow-moving, lazy creature that could become invisible. It had a razor-like long tongue that swiftly catches his enemies and swallows them directly.

And Sam had invaded its territory!

He could hardly defeat a noob level 1 creature one-on-one while the chameleon was level 3. He had no wish to suicide so painfully!

Sam looked at his status bar to see his HP reached 5/10. He knew he was in deep trouble. But he had no time to take health potion as the chameleon's tongue is still on his tail...

~woosh

Sam just turned around in the nick of time when he saw the tongue attacking him again. Pressing his injuries, he could helplessly dodge.

boom~

The tongue hit a tall tree, destroying its trunk into pieces. Sam was thoroughly terrified yet angry.

"Bitch when I get to level 3, the first thing I do will be to kill you!!" thought Sam furiously as he ran even faster than before.

Sam could hear the beast roaring in frustration as he finally left its territory. Being a slow beast only it could play hide and seek to catch its prey.

"Shit shit!! System you want me to die huh?? " yelled Sam in his mind.

*Negative host! System wants you to survive!* replied the cold voice...

Sam quickly took out health potions as he drank them like drinking water. All he wanted was his HP to recover as fast it could!

Going to coma in this treacherous jungle would only hasten his death!

Meanwhile, Sam applied a healing potion over his wound and bandaged it. It was badly injured. It would take a week even with the healing potion.

"Argh! It's so painful!!! I need to visit a doctor after I go out of here..." thought Sam as his face crunched from the pain he was feeling from the abdomen injury.

After almost 20 minutes of running, Sam found a safe place where no animals were there. He sat on the ground as he tended his injuries. His fractured arm was almost 60℅ healed. It would probably heal by night while his abdomen injury needed stitches and major treatment to heal.

As he sat on the ground without any energy to fight..he recalled his mistakes and insensitivity to notice danger.
