"What have you encountered?"

Jonathan silently activated his camera, pleased that the waterproof pinhole camera attached to his collar button was still operational.

"A... newly created artificial human being?"

"Yes."

He watched the artificial human playing happily with bubbles, then took a few breaths from the oxygen mask he was offered before putting it aside.

The artificial human immediately put the mask back on and took a deep breath. He took Jonathan's gloved hand and appeared puzzled by the difference in texture and color. After a moment of recognition, he attempted to pull off the glove.

Jonathan withdrew his hand. The artificial human then shifted his attention and lightly touched Jonathan's metal face mask.

Jonathan leaned back, avoiding the touch again. The insistent artificial human grabbed the hem of Jonathan's rugged clothing.

He looked at Jonathan's clothing, then at his own body, apparently confused about why he was not wearing clothes.
