Attack Dummy 2

Everyone was scared of the performance of the dummy that defeated one of the best geniuses in class one in less than half a second after going into stage 2. Then everyone was surprised again when a person they only heard speak a few times, talked to someone first and even offered advice.

The other 2 members of a Ducal also listened to the advice and wanted to hear what advice he would tell them.

"Okay next Adriana."

Professor Ventus said after making sure Cordelia was alright. 

Next the fiery red haired Adriana walked to the platform.

'Her Pyrokinesis won't be that helpful defending against that dummy. Unlike Hydrokinesis and Geokinesis, Pyrokinesis and Aerokinesis aren't that good at defense.' 

Adriana knew that but she couldn't just give up without trying, she got into fighting stance and she was ready for it's speed.

After the signal the dummy ran at her, Adriana watched 6 matches before hand, as half the class didn't participate because they didn't have combat related twists and was training with the other professor back in their classroom. Adriana at the signal shot fire out of the bottom of her feet and palms as she tried to keep distance from the dummy. 

Her strategy would be to avoid and dodge the dummy as she had no way to block it. She shot the fire from the bottom of her feet and palms as a force that could propel her, her speed was comparable to the dummy and as she avoided him.

The dummy eventually caught up to her as he was running and she was using her fire to levitate and move, he had more mobility to suddenly move left and right. The dummy was right beside her and got ready to throw a punch. 

Adriana avoided it by using her fire to push her much higher and she was about 5 meters of the ground, then she moved away from the dummy from that height. The dummy tried one more time before asking for permission to enter stage 2. Professor allowed it, the dummy immediately got ready and spread it's aura. Before the professor answer and Adriana heard the dummy asking to go to stage 2 she increased the distance between her and the ground and she flew up 15 meters. 

The dummy jumped that distance in an instant and grabbed her ankle and threw her on the ground before falling down ready to land on her with it's knee. As soon as Adriana was flying down too fast for her to orient herself, Professor Ventus called the dummy to stop as she caught Adriana gently with the wind and brought her to where she was.

The dummy landed softly using aura, and then made it's way back to it's designated position then announced the result. 

"10 seconds."

Because everything was so fast paced, what seemed like a minute of Adriana running for her live was only 10 seconds. She was angry and her face turned red but she composed herself a little bit before looking at Arthur.

Arthur locked eyes with her wondering what she wanted, she had a look of expectation on his face. After 3 seconds on locking eyes with her which felt long and awkward, Arthur figured she was probably hoping for the same thing that her rival got. 

He walked over to her and looked down at her disheveled look as that fall made her hair go everywhere. 

"It was a good strategy of using the fire to propel yourself, at the last moment when the dummy was at stage 2; you went up around 15 meters in the air and stayed there, as that was probably you're limit as you were using fire from 4 different locations. You used the ground to push you up, but if you compressed the fire you could freely move directions in the air. Instead of controlling the 15 feet fire coming out the ends of your limbs, you could compress the fire and shoot short intervals in the air and aim to go left and right to dodge the dummy."

Arthur was before going back to his area, Adriana had a face as if telling him that she didn't ask for advice as she was to embarred to admit it, but then she started slowly reflecting on his advice.

"Hahh, Arthur you're taking my job, but yeah you said everything I would've said good job."

Professor said as she thought that the situation with Cordelia was a one time thing, but he offered advice to Adriana too.

"Next."

As Professor Ventus said that, Adam walked on stage and started doing some pushups to psyche himself up.

'Adam's the meathead, Adriana is the fiery one and Cordelia was the calm one. Do their personalities fit that of their twists or that of their house... Probably both.'

Arthur pondered. Then at the signal the match begun, the dummy began running but then Adam manipulated the rock platform right below the dummy to trap it's foot, he stopped it for a few fractions of a second before the dummy started coming at him again.

Adam then created a giant Cylinder of earth around 10 meters in height and 5 meters in radius around him with him being in the hollow center; the same thing that Cordelia did. 

Arthur could still see Adam's mana through the 5 meters of using his mana reading ability. He could see through objects if there was mana behind whatever was blocking his vision. So Arthur knew what Adam was doing in the middle, he saw the mana in the shape of a Adam make his way through the cylinder he went the opposite direction of where the dummy was. Adam then stood a few centimeters from exiting the cylinder.

As the dummy circled around the cylinder, Adam used the noise as a signal for where the dummy was and when he heard the dummy pass his location he exited the cylinder and was out the back. 

'He learned from watching Cordelia, he used the same strategy as her as he already knew the dummy's actions and planned for that, and he listened to my advice of leaving it without the other person knowing. Adriana couldn't really use the same strategy as fire wouldn't offer any resistance to the dummy and the it was too durable and fire-proof. Thus only Cordelia and Adam could use that strategy. He's not just a muscle head I guess, his brain is quite good too.'

Arthur thought while watching Adam.

The Dummy's Ai calculated that it could break through to get to the center in a few seconds but because of it's goal to not let the students get too high of time. He decided to use it's second stage, it asked for permission from the person in charge. Once he got it, he strengthened his body with aura before rushing at the thick cylinder wall of earth. The closed the distance in a blink of an eye and threw a punch that most of the students couldn't see but heard.

BAMM

The cylinder earth wall had a huge hole and started crumbling. The dummy then rushed to where the middle of the cylinder was, it's vision blocked by the debris.

But when it finally got there, it found nothing there, as the building started crumbling from the impact was still reaching to the back of cylinder, the robot saw a small path made that led to the exit of the cylinder. It immediately got out and searched for the student. It saw him elevating the ground below him until he stood on a 20 meter tall rectangular prism. 

When the dummy attacked it's bottom to try to bring it down, more earth was created to support it, then the dummy decided to jump and reach where Adam was. 

Adam immediately created more earth and connected it to the side of the peak to walk sideways to dodge him from grabbing him.

'He also listened to the advice I gave Adriana and saw the mistake she made of just staying in place, but her situation is different from his. He was smart but he didn't full think it through.'

"Haaa"

As Arthur shook his head while sighing, Cordelia and Adriana who was behind him were confused as to why he was sighed, when Adam used the advice he gave to Adriana just like when he used the advice he gave to Cordelia.

The dummy missed Adam as he created an earth platform on the side of the top and continued walking away but then the dummy used his fingers and put them through the earth to tower and pulled himself all the way to the top in one motion before he dashed and immediately caught Adam and threw him off the 20 meter tall tower. 

Professor Ventus caught Adam with the wind and then told the dummy to stop. 

The dummy announced the result when it came down.

"16 seconds."

He only last that because, the Ai already saw, both strategy's before, so it's decision making skills on how to deal with it was faster, but he also didn't avoid the robot like Adriana and buy some extra seconds and his twist wasn't the best at speed and evasion so he immediately created the tall earth tower. He still got the highest so far, so he was happy and gave a smirk to the other two. 

"You only beat us because you went last and copied our strategy and used his corrections. Don't get arrogant, if we went last we would've gotten a way better time than 16 seconds."

"Yeah it was quite stupid the way you still got caught"

Adriana shouted loudly with anger while Cordelia said calmly with a sharp look.

"Losers always try to bring down the winners, oh the sad reality of man."

Adam still said smugly before he turned to Arthur with clear expectation on his face.

'Haaa, I only wanted to give Cordelia advice because I copied her ability but somehow I because the professor to all three of them.'

Arthur but walked to Adam and gave advice anyway.

"The way you used the other two examples of what you should and shouldn't do was good. But you took the advice I gave to Adriana and tried to apply it to yourself without thinking about the difference in element and how that could change the situation was bad."

Arthur said, while the other two were smirking at Adam from behind.
