Chapter 14

Shortly after retreating to a clearing away from the fighting and regrouping with the others that were assigned to be his assistants the first patient was carried in.

"Jaden,Jaden please help him."Random Bullseye member said as he lay the patient down.

Jaden: "Of course that's why i'm here as it's my job."

Looking at the injury of the patient he saw that it was a long tear from the lower arm to his elbow so taking a needle with something to make the patient feel no pain and injecting it in a vein in the wrist. Followed by pouring some disinfection medicine over his whole arm and stitching up the tear.

Jaden: "Luckily it didn't tear any muscle so it'll hear up just fine just make sure not to use it or put any weight on it and keep it clean the only thing that will be left will be a scar that you can get removed at any C rank hospital or higher."

"Wow how were you able to stitch it up so quickly it was like watching a person zip up a jacket."Random Bullseye member said.

Jaden: "Practice, lots of practice. Now hurry up and return to the battle."

It wasn't even ten minutes until the next patient showed up.

An hour later the fighting was over and Jaden only had three patients with wounds as bad as the first while the rest were after battle check ups and wrapping bandages basically.

Qin Xuan also came over and showed him the calf of her left leg that had a bite mark on it so he disinfected it and wrapped it as it wasn't as bad as a little brother biting his big brother as she was in her Sacred-Blood transformation.

Qin Xuan then had me and Yang Manli scout the area to see if there were any other territorial creatures that had mutant and Sacred-Blood creatures while she and the rest of the gang recovered from the earlier battle.

The reason she sent Yang Manli is because she was an archer with a Sacred Blood bow and shot from a distance doing no close combat fighting because she was behind the other archers and was responsible for supporting the combatants to lessen the wounded which is why there was only three medium level wounds brought to Jaden.

Jaden and Manli were doing there scouting and when they were about five miles away a Sacred-Blood Shadow Panther leaped from a tree branch and tried to bite the back of Yang Manli's neck as it believed her to be the bigger threat due to gene energy in her body.

Before it succeeded though Jaden made a branch grow and wrap around it's waist and one of its back legs followed by using his dojutsu and putting it in a weak Genjutsu before hollering at Yang Manli.

Jaden: "Quite spacing out shoot an arrow though its eye quickly!"

What made her snap out of her surprise,fear,and whatever other emotions she was feeling wasn't Jaden's voice but the cracking of the tree branches that wrapped around the Shadow Panther after it broke out of the Genjutsu.

Doing as Jaden said she summoned her mutant arrow and sacred blood bow and shot the arrow into the Shadow Panther's eye managing to kill it as the tree branches completely turned into wood shards an instant afterwards.

Jaden was sitting on the ground sweat poring from him like an athlete after training or showering and with eye-bags under his eyes that were already starting to disappear thanks to his Wolverine Regeneration Geno-Art.

Yang Manli sat down next to him while he was still catching his breath without saying a word just silently sitting there still in shock at the near death moment that just happened.

Yang Manli: "So you seem to have more secrets then just those special eyes,by the way why didn't you notice it before you did?"

Jaden: "Yeah, i'm a man of many mysterious and like an onion you have to peel me back a layer at a time. As for why I didn't use my dojutsu it's because we were still within the wolves territory so I didn't think a creature of equal rank as the Unicorn Wolf would be nearby especially not a solitary hunter like the panther. I'm sorry that I dropped my vigilance even though I had knowledge from books every book also mentioned warning that there are always differences and not to drop your guard,which I did nearly causing both of our deaths. I'm extremely sorry."

Yang Manli: "I got the beast soul and i'll take half the meat so were even. Also I'll keep this a secret as well and if Qin Xuan ask we'll say you noticed it and when it was waiting for us to walk beneath it I shot it in the eye and killed it I'll just tell her it was a mutant creature since without the beast soul or eating it's meat you can't really tell what rank of a creature it is unless by size or if it's the leader of a pack and has certain characteristics."

Jaden: "Thanks for forgiving me."

Yang Manli: "There is no need for me to forgive you it was equally my fault for relying one hundred percent on your scouting ability what if for example it's stealth abilities made it were you couldn't sense or see it then it would also be my fault for lowering my guard or because my skills and abilities were not enough to handle the situation. Be both walked away from this situation more experienced."

Jaden: "Your right lets go a head and scout the area and report our findings as I'm pretty tired after using those techniques earlier so we'll have to shorten the time I can use my dojutsu to scout around."

Once they scouted the rest of the area they found no other creatures of mutant or sacred blood around probably from smelling the blood of the wolves in the air scaring them off because their instincts warned them of the incoming danger.

After they scouted they returned to camp and reported that there were no creatures of mutant or sacred blood so Qin Xuan told the gang they would begin the six day trip back to the shelter in the morning.
