As I tread down the snowy path, I could hear footsteps behind me which meant she was following me. I stopped and looked back and she stopped too.

"Why are you following?" I asked and she chuckled

"I have to make sure you don't enter the wrong place." She said and I rolled my eyes and continued walking. I kept walking until I got to a cliff.

Below the cliff were two transparent walkways and I could see people walking to and fro.

"This way, please." She said and ushered me to the right. I gave a quick stare before running off. I kept running even though the cold snow was harsh and severe.

I jumped down and landed steadily on the left walkway and continued to run. As I ran, I looked back at intervals and I could notice she didn't leave where she was but at the same time she never took her eyes off me.

There was a portal and two guards in front holding spears. I sped my way through the scanty number of people and approached the guards. They didn't seem to hinder me and then I looked back, the girl was gone. I sighed and walked through the portal.

"Begin the surgery." My ears prickled.

"Wait hold on, he's healing up." A voice like Aspen's.

I sat up and opened my eyes sluggishly. I tilted my neck to look at the people that were talking and I saw Aspen with eyes large and jaw opened wide. The girl who was on surgical clothes dropped her tools with her face red as crimson. She was already sweating profusely.

"Nu-nude!" She tried to say and I looked down and then looked away and then it dawned on me. I looked back down and I realized I was naked.

"WHAAAT!" I yelled and Aspen quickly ran to cover my mouth before the lady covered me with a blanket. Tiana walked in with a tray of surgical materials. Her face was moody and haggard. She must have been crying for a long time. She dropped the tray on a table

"Try not to___. WHAAAT!!" her jaw dropped open as soon as she saw me.

"T?__" I called and she stepped back obviously unsure if it was real or some sort of hallucination.

"Tiana." Aspen called in a low voice.

"It's just three of us who knows Richard is alive and i want to keep it that way." He said and stepped back from me.

"Ok!" She said and sped out of the room to get rid of the others maybe.

"I'll assign Tiana as your special trainer." He said and I quickly denied the idea. Aspen giggled and the nurse walked outside.

"How did you wake up?" He asked me and I placed my hand at the back of my head.

"I don't really remember, I was in an icy area and snow kept falling and I jumped off a cliff and ran through a portal." I said and looked at Aspen. My description was shady but it made sense to me.

"Something's not right." He said and moved close

"Was someone with you?" He asked again.

"I don't recall." I said and he thought for a while before he smiled and moved back.

"I should probably leave with the super 7 and break the bad news of your death. You should stay low-key until I deem it ready for your reincarnation." He teased and left

I laid back down on the bed trying to figure out how I came back to life while also trying to figure out why I died. just when I was overconfident of my powers, I met someone whose powers I could never meet up with. I sighed and my gaze met Tiana standing at the door post. She approached me and sat down.

"Hey!" She said.

"Hey!" I said trying hard not to blush.

"Now I know that decapitating you wouldn't kill you." She teased and I gave a light chuckle.

"Aspen assigned me to be your teacher." She said and I looked away.

"I know, I need a stronger teacher." I said expecting her to be mad so she could throw away the idea of training me.

"Don't worry, we'll get stronger together." She assured and I almost bit my tongue.

The entire building began to vibrate for a while and after some time, I heard a whooshing sound. I sat up and drew my curtain to see what was going on outside but there was nothing.

"What happened?"

"Aspen and the others just left." She said and I looked at her, she was smiling at me which seemed unusual.

"You're acting strange." I was prompted to say.

"I'm happy to see you alive." She said after hesitating.

I crawled out of the bed and walked outside. The field here wasn't as big as the one at heroes academy. I looked back and Tiana was resting on the wall watching me. It was good to be back.

(Aspen's POV)

It is really a mystery to hear that Richard survived decapitation from the warlord Eirwen. If the news of his survival is spread and Eirwen hears about it, it would trigger an unprecedented attack on the planet as Eirwen wouldn't accept defeat that easily. I dropped my backpack on the receptionist's deck as soon as i'd arrived at heroes academy. I walked to sit down at the visitors lounge to get things straight.

The kids approached me with Sad faces and it hurt me knowing fully well they weren't supposed to be. I filled my face with a joyful smile hoping they'd find something fun to make out of it but they didn't seem to care. The five of them sat beside me.

"Aspen!" Tasha started. She was the most fragile amongst the super 7 and even though she never really cared much about anyone, she wasn't the type to take death lightly.

"Yes!" I replied.

"We've concluded within us that well grow strong and meet up to your expectations and be able to fight back Eirwen whenever he comes back." She said and my heart lit up with joy.

"Even though he's my dad__ I still wish to have him dead." Eric said with his eyes closed. He was unable to fight Eirwen six days ago because of his emotions but now having witnessed the evil of his dad, he's ready to do what it takes to be a hero.

"What about T?" Ryder asked.

"Oh__. She went to stay with her dad, she couldn't bear the loss." I lied and they all agreed to it.

"We'll start by going back to west city to rid it of those aliens." Tasha said and I could feel hope once again.

"Well then!" A genuine smile crept on my face and I stood up.

"Hold up, I got to pee." I said and dashed off.

I pushed open the toilet door after making sure I was all alone. I brought out my phone and dialed a number. After a while the call connected.

"Aspen__."

"It's surprising but he survived."

"I left him in care of Tiana__."

"We're going back to west city__"

"Bye_." I said and hung up.

I walked back outside and I saw Annabelle standing at the doorpost. I walked up to her and she wrapped her arm around mine and my cheek reddened.

"That boy Richard!" She said and my heart sped up.

"He shows great potential!" She said and I looked at her

"How much did you hear?"

"A lot." She giggled and let go off me.

I pulled her close and the kids behind me all looked at me with teasing eyes.

"Dont__."

"Don't tell anybody." I said and she made a zipping sign in her lips.

"I also want what's best for him." She said and she pulled back before winking at me. That was close, I heaved and sat back down.

"Big belly burger?" I proposed and the kids rolled their eyes.
