World Of Immortals

"Help me…" Jin Li's voice was hoarse and shaky as he cried reaching towards the other Cresent Saber Disciples. He was a Spirit Profound Realm Cultivator, never in his life would he imagine he would be reduced to such a state.

Hearing Jin Li, one of the Crescent Saber Disciple's, felt anger boil up inside of him. He glared at Lin Tao as he spoke.

"You've gone too far! Are you trying to anger our Crescent Saber Sect? If an Elder finds out about this then-" His voice was cut off when he saw Lin Tao glance at him. His eyes were calm and he had a look on his face, similar to if someone was looking at a dog.

"And where is that Elder now?" The Crescent Saber Disciple frowned.

"Of course he's at our Sect!" Hearing that Lin Tao tilted his head.

"So that means I have no reason to let you go right? I mean if I'm going to be punished, either way, It makes no difference if I kill him right?" As he said that his leg pressed down harder onto Jin Li's chest the sound of cracking bones reverberated through the air making everyone feel a chill go down their spine.

The Crescent Saber Disciple immediately felt his throat go dry. Lin Tao did have a point, none of them was his match, he made that clear just a moment ago. If they were going to report this matter Lin Tao would be hunted to death. If he killed Jin Li or them, then there was a chance he could get away.

No one would be able to remember his face well enough for him to be found in such a large city. This was the difference between the power of backing and the power of self. Despite how glorious their Sect is at this moment it meant nothing and they could die all the same. When they realized that their blood went cold.

At the same time, everyone in the surrounding area realized they had become implicated as well and didn't dare move a step. Seeing them freeze up Lin Tao sighed.

"Luckily for you, I've been trying to avoid trouble. So instead all you guys have to do is take a Binding Profound Oath." Upon hearing Lin Tao's term their faces turned ashen.

A Binding Profound Oath was like it sounded, an oath. However, what made it binding was an oath that was linked to one's own Soul and cultivation. If one broke the oath once it was taken their soul would be harmed and they could even potentially fall an entire realm.

Although that didn't sound like much, falling an entire realm was years of effort down the drain. On Top of that, if Lin Tao's search didn't make it clear enough, wounds to one's Soul were extremely difficult to recover from and would affect one's day-to-day life.

"Of course that includes this guy under my foot and the one, I knocked outside. If you can't agree then…" Lin Tao's eyes narrowed revealing a sharp glint. The Crescent Saber Disciples bit their lip as they glanced at the injured Jin Li.

"Fine…" Reluctantly the other Spirit Profound Realm Cultivator in their group spoke first.

"I swear on my path as a Cultivator, that I shall not speak of this incident in any shape or form. If I do then the heavens shall judge me and strike me with their wrath!" His Profound Energy began to convulse slightly, proving that he had indeed taken the oath. Lin Tao couldn't sense that so he glanced towards Ye Men behind him.

"He did indeed take the oath." Hearing that Lin Tao nodded looking back at the others. Reluctantly the other Cresent Saber Disciple began taking the oath as well. Jin Li and the one disciple Lin Tao had knocked out of the restaurant required a bit of assistance but in the end, they managed.

In the end, the Crescent Saber Disciple had sobered up and left carrying their fellow disciples with them.

"Good now that that's dealt with I trust I don't need anyone here to also take the oath?" Lin Tao's voice was directed towards the diners in the restaurant. They immediately shook their heads. Why would they dare get involved? The conflict between sects had nothing to do with them.

Although they were cowardly at the time none of them felt bad for the Crescent Saber Disciples, it was simply karma. In the end, Lin Tao along with the others left the restaurant. As they did so, the two waitresses Lin Tao saved thanked him profusely. They couldn't imagine what would have happened if he had not intervened.

Soon they began to make their way back to The Purple Raven Sect.

"Sir Wukong, I would never have imagined you could be so overbearing."

"Same, I knew you were strong but that was insane! Those bastards couldn't even handle your blows!"

"Indeed. I'm ashamed I did not act alongside you."

"It's fine, if you three did act then it would only have caused more issues. It was best to let me as an outsider take care of it." Besides if the conflict got too out of hand he would have been kicked out of The Purple Raven Sect and lost his temporary home. He would rather not have to sleep in some crappy inn.

They spoke as they entered the sect, going their separate ways when Lin Tao reached his place. Walking inside the first thing he wanted to do was take a bath. Luckily this place had a supply of water and a Profound Formation in the bathroom for generating heat. Lin Tao's body sank into the water as he let out a relaxing sigh.

'The day after tomorrow I need to go and check on the progress for Profound Ark. I wonder what I should do tomorrow then?' His thoughts drifted as he remained in the bath. Slowly he began to fall into a slumber as night fell. Lin Tao felt as if his mind had drifted as he suddenly awoke.

His eyes adjusted to the light as he saw he was somewhere entirely different. Pure white robe's adorned his body looking as if they were made from the finest silk. He was sitting on the branch of a blossoming cherry tree. However, none of that captured his attention as much as the view in front of him.

A breathtakingly beautiful mountain range expanded in every direction. The green trees that created a blanket over them seemed to sway in sync with the wind. Large waterfalls pouring thousands of tons of water every second flowed into massive lakes and rivers stretched far and wide.

Floating in the air were large masses of earth and rock as if they were held up by invisible strings connected to the sky. He was on a mountain as well, it was shorter than the other's but the tree he was lying on was on the edge of a cliff. It gave a perfect view of the scene before him.

'An Immortal Mountain…' That was the only idea that came to Lin Tao's mind. Only in stories about Immortals would one get to see such a perfect scene. It took Lin Tao a moment to come to his senses as he felt something in his hands. Looking down he saw there was a book in his lap.

It seemed to be about poetry and literature. The sight made him a bit confused, however, he didn't have time to look into it as he heard someone call for him.

"Sun Wukong, did you take a book from my room again?" The voice was soft and her tone was warmly calm. Turning his head, Lin Tao saw a woman walking toward him. Her hair was light brown and abundant enough to completely cover her back, flowing so far that it nearly touched the ground.

At the top, it was tied with two ornamental flowers that were as white as snow. Her silver black eyes were locked onto Lin Tao and her skin was so clear and without flaw it reflected the sun's light. A white outer robe loosely hung from her body while she wore inner green clothing that clung to her tightly.

All in all, she dressed conservatively but didn't hide her figure. Her body was completely mature and she was clearly well endowed in all the places that stuck out. Lin Tao had to admit he had never seen such a beautiful woman in his life.

Still, he was confused by what she was talking about or who she even was. With a single movement, he fell from the branch of the tree landing calmly on the ground. His body was the same as normal or at least it felt like it. He didn't notice any other major changes.

"You know if you wanted to borrow something from your Senior Sister you could have just asked." Hearing her say Senior Sister, Lin Tao noticed a large wall covering a portion of the mountain top. It wasn't very large, perhaps a few hundred meters wide and across. The buildings were modest and so was their appearance.

Most likely it was a small sect or school of some sort. And if that was the case then that would mean he was a part of it. And then women who had greeted him had to be a fellow student or disciple although clearly, she was at a higher rank than himself.

'How did I get here though? It's just like that one dream except for this time I can see and move how I wish. She called me Sun Wukong, so does that mean this is one of his memories? But if it is then why can I interact with it?' It was all very confusing, but for not Lin Tao calmed himself and acted appropriately.

"I didn't mean to trouble you. I was just interested in studying this book." Lin Tao held it out, handing it back to her. Hearing how Lin Tao was talking, the women seemed taken back a bit before smiling.

"It's of no issue, I know Master Subhuti said he would begin teaching you along with us if you study well for the next few days right? I'm excited y to see you join us. You've been working so hard after all. Plus it's not every day that an interesting character comes along such as yourself."

Lin Tao guessed she was referring to the fact Sun Wukong was a monkey, an intelligent and very human one at that, but still a monkey.

"In any case, you can keep the book, consider it a gift from you're senior. I just came here to tell you that… And you... Ca-" Her words began to fade, disappearing into a soundless void. Lin Tao frowned as he began seeing the world around him twist and turn. The next second his vision faded to black.

'What in the world was that?' Opening his eyes once more Lin Tao found himself back in his bath. The water had grown cold and the sun's light poured in through the window. He was back in the Grand Asura Nation.

"Was that really one of Sun Wukong's memories? Or was it a mix of my own fantasy and his original life?" It was difficult to tell. It felt so real, it was as if he had truly awoken in a land of immortals. That was where Sun Wukong had come from, his original world.

The image of his so-called Senior Sister flashed through his mind as Lin Tao sighed. Getting out of the bath, he glanced down towards a stool where he had placed a towel. Yet when he did, his eyes immediately contracted as a look of shock appeared on his face.

Lying on top of the towel, was a book. The very same book that he had been 'gifted' in that dream world.
