Volume 1 Epilogue

A month has passed since then.

More and more dissidents rose up in the Old World, the technologies the victors used had already improved the lives of their citizens while keeping the conquered people repressed, it was only a matter of time before that unrest swelled up.

A resistance to the tyranny imposed upon thee.

Riots had been pacified in hours, drones that fly through the skies watching Europe, Africa and Asia.

The Eyes watched over Paris, London, and Moscow, colossal automatons designed to keep unrest low and monitor the Capitals of the Old Superpowers, these were called the Eyes or the Monitors.

But it hasn't extinguished the fire that burns deep in the conquered peoples heart, the efforts the Powers had done to keep things under control, under their regime of ruling with an iron fist.

Construction on Megaprojects Welthauptstadt Germania (World Capital Germania), the Escherich-Tore (The Escherich Gates), the Interkontinentale Eisenbahn (Intercontinental Railroad), and the New Europe Project or the Neuese Europa Projekt. All of these megaprojects would be overseen by the Neue Reichsentwicklungsbehörde or the New Reich Development Authority (NREB).

______________

It was now December 29, 1944.

An old man could be seen quietly watching the scene, large automatons carried construction materials from one place to another, an army of robots and humans working side by side demolishing houses, shops, government buildings, everything that stood in the way of the project.

From the ground he saw a mass of onlookers, the displaced people of Berlin watch as the mega project took place, of course they have already been given temporary housing using prefabricated houses with water and electricity already hooked up, but they just watched, some had excited expressions while the others have sorrow, their homes, businesses, the buildings they have lived in, worked so hard to pay be destroyed.

It was the nostalgic factor for them, the Fuhrer sees rubble but the people who've lived here for so long saw memories worth millions to them get crushed by soulless machines.

"I can imagine it now, Speer my friend. We are witnessing a new dawn for Deutschland, for Europe and for the Entire World." The Old man spoke as he puts his lips on his teacup and sips quietly, he hums as he continues to watch.

The crowds were being ushered away now by drones with speakers attached, but the two men above cared not.

"Our work isn't over, there is still so much to do Mein Fuhrer, but this is a start" A man with a fedora spoke as he too sipped his tea, he sheltered himself from the cold night with his coat and watched besides the most powerful man in the Old World the construction.

"How has your meetings with Escherich gone? Were they fruitful?" Adolf spoke, trying to break the sudden silence between the two.

"Indeed, he introduced me to more of those robotiks science, there will be another upgrade to its Artificial Intelligence so that it can identify targets more clearly, unlike before with all of that collateral damage the Panzerhunds caused at the Eastern Front" taking another sip, he opened his mouth to speak again.

"But it scares me." Adolf was confused by his statement, something like this is cause for celebration, they've been making so many advancements that the rest of his allies couldn't keep up.

"Scares you?"

"Yes, we have gone so far in such a short amount of time, it would only be a matter of time before the Japanese or the Italians be worried"

"No need to fear them, I have been assured that Mussolini will maintain the Axis and Tojo has been satisfied with his gains"

....

"How long will this false peace last I wonder" Speer said worriedly, Adolf has already been reassured multiple times in the private meetings with the Axis and the Co-Prosperity Sphere, but just in case something would go wrong he ordered one more Ausmerzer and a thousand security robots and another thousand drones to maintain the Reichs security.

Adolf coughed a few times, Speer handed the old man some water and his pills, Adolf knew Speer wouldn't try anything against him, his loyal friend along with the others in his group.

Adolf's silence only exacerbated the dread swelling up within the Minister of NREB, a title given to him by the Fuhrer himself while drawing up plans on how to manage the super projects, it was then deemed to be too inefficient to just have the existing Ministry of Construction handle the project so a new Ministry was born on December 21, 1944.

Speer clasped his hands together, catching Adolf off-guard by the sudden clap "We just have to maintain our technological superiority, the Japanese may have the numbers but the Chinese aren't loyal to them yet and the Italians may be harder to deal with but eventually we will win" Speer suggested.

"As I said before, it will be fine" Adolf however was unworried by what the two superpowers were up to, he has already so much to deal with, especially his failing health.

"Well.... If you say so"

The two just continued watching the scenery, the foundations for all of the buildings have been set in less than a week.

The Expeditionary Force has already secured a large section of the Great Forest making it a wonderful field for research, but Speer couldn't think past it.

Maybe they were going a bit too fast.

But why does it matter? They've won already.
