"From what I understand, this is a kind of magic called 'reception.' You previously defeated the demon from the church, and now the demon's power resides within you."

"I'd rather not have this kind of power..." murmured Mirajane.

"The only way to get rid of this unsightly state is to learn how to control your power." Calvin could see that Mirajane was very averse to this power, so he advised her.

"Nobody in this small village can teach you that. Moreover, those ignorant folks seem unwilling to let you stay here."

"What do you mean?" Mirajane raised an eyebrow slightly and asked.

"Want to join our guild? The Wizard's Guild, Fairy Tail!" Calvin beamed proudly as he said this.

Mirajane glanced at her younger siblings, who clearly had hopeful looks. Compared to a village devoid of compassion where they were constantly ostracized, the Wizard's Guild filled with new possibilities was more appealing.

After a brief consideration, Mirajane nodded in agreement.

"Welcome to join Fairy Tail. I assure you, the days ahead will be full of excitement, thrills, laughter, and joy!"

Calvin extended his right hand with a smile, while Mirajane hesitated whether to respond. After a while, she tentatively reached out her ugly arm and gently shook hands with Calvin.

Seeing that Calvin didn't seem to mind her arm at all, Mirajane felt a strange emotion.

"Seeing him so kind, that guild must be good..."

Seeing that the three had decided to join Fairy Tail, Calvin nodded in satisfaction, turned around, and glanced outside.

"These guys need a lesson..."

The summoned creature was entirely purple-black, grotesque in appearance, humanoid in form but with a bestial quality, slightly hunched, with muscular arms ending in sharp claws, and two sharp, sturdy horns protruding from its skull.

To anyone, it didn't seem like a friendly creature. Mirajane's younger brother was immediately frightened to tears, and she herself widened her eyes in terror, instinctively assuming a defensive posture.

The little white-haired girl's cries continued. In the next moment, the summoned beast roared, charged towards the window, crashed out, and landed among the crowd, shouting loudly.

This sudden change stunned everyone. The cries of the little white-haired girl ceased, but immediately, more terrified screams came from outside.

"Oh! It's a demon!"

"Ahhh! It bit me! I'm going to die!"

"Help! Great sorcerer!"

Calvin gave a thumbs-up to the three siblings, a slight smirk on his lips.

Mirajane felt absurd, unable to resist a faint smirk herself. Suddenly, she harbored strong doubts about the Fairy Tail guild.

Calvin estimated that he had scared enough people. He jumped out through the hole made by the summoned beast, loudly proclaiming, "Fiend! Don't think about hurting anyone!"

With resolute energy, he battled against his summoned beast. After a close and arduous fight, he narrowly managed to overcome it.

He panted, completely unconcerned about the gratitude from the villagers, coolly led Mirajane and her siblings away.

On their way back, Mirajane's younger sister Lisanna couldn't contain her laughter, laughing heartily. Even the timid younger brother Elfman had a smile on his face. Apparently, what Calvin had just done appealed to them.

However, Mirajane stared at Calvin suspiciously. Everything that had just happened made her realize the extent of this boy's dark intentions.

The journey back couldn't be a constant sprint like when Calvin had arrived. With a few girls in tow, the travel became more gentle.

During the journey, Calvin and the three siblings chatted about various things. Through their conversation, they obtained some information about the demon.

Regarding demons, Calvin had also researched them in the guild's library. It was rumored that they were extremely evil and exceptionally powerful creatures.

Among them, the most famous were the demons from the Book of Zeref. Each of them represented disasters.

Several years ago, during the rampage of Deliora in the north, it was one of the demons from the Book of Zeref.

Upon realizing this, Calvin couldn't help but wonder. As he understood it, the demons from the Book of Zeref were created by the black mage Zeref.

This was a question Calvin couldn't figure out.

After three full days of travel, the group of four finally returned to Fairy Tail.

Seeing the somewhat dirty guild, Calvin's smile bloomed again as he happily said, "Here we are, this is the guild you're joining, Fairy Tail."
