Following the teleport, Vander, Tiamat, and Serafall appeared in Krumdrum's workshop in a dark flash of flames that were now black. Vander looked at the flames which just kept getting darker and darker for some reason. First, they were blood red, then bright purple, then dark purple, and now black.
'Am I absorbing too many dark bloodlines or what?'
He wondered if he needed something to even it out or something, but he really did not feel any more evil. As for the dwarf, at this point at gotten used to it and expected Vander to appear. He shook his head as he took a swig of his whiskey when the three of them materialized in his workshop.
He was alone as La Folia, Naerdeath, Nerezza, and Raynare had already left.
"I noticed the shaking stopped so I expected you to appear soon."
He stopped talking when he noticed Tiamat's lightly dressed form. It was more like she was in a skimpy swimsuit than clothes.
"Did she forget to wear clothes or is she just an exhibitionist? I ain't one to judge, my uncle used to work the forges in the nude. Horrifying let me tell you."
Tiamat's eyes twitched the more the dwarf spoke. He no longer paid her any attention as he was just thinking of his old life with the dwarves. He sighed as he did miss his old life, but he could never return. They would kill him for his mistake.
As for Tiamat she waved her hand and wore a heavy blue dress that hid her features. It stopped at about her shins and above that she wore a jewel-encrusted coat that seemed to be made of blue scales. Around the neck was dark blue fur looking like an elegant cloak.
"I am not an exhibitionist. I was low on magic before now and we teleported away too fast."
Krumdrum huffed.
"So who won? You or the brat. I made a bet with La Folia that if the brat one I would make her mother a weapon. So, who won?"
Tiamat and Vander glared at each other and were about to give their side Serafall spoke up. They would be here for hours if the two of them got to arguing so Serafall did it for them.
"Tiamat had a heart attack and fell on Vander who had his technique backlash at the last moment. That last exchange could have gone either way if not for the trouble both of them suffered. They ended up in a draw and they cannot have a rematch as the Underworld is currently in a fragile state. One more fight of that caliber and it will be a miracle if pieces don't start to crumble."
Krumdrum agreed as even this far away he could still feel the shakes.
"You heard her don't fight again. I rather not die yet."
Tiamat and Vander scoffed at how unfair it all was. They finally found someone who could match them in combat and they could not even enjoy it. However, that did bring Vander some questions. How did the Underworld survive the Great War, the Heavenly Dragon's fight, and the Devil Civil War?
"Wait, how did me and Tiamat fighting do that much damage? Didn't the war between Heaven, Grigori, and the Devils last for thousands of years? How many cataclysmic level battles went on before that and it did not crumble?"
Serafall took a seat as she decided to explain it. It was rather simple and complicated at the same time.
"You would be right, but during the war, billions died on both sides and some battles were fought with millions of troops each unleashing powerful spells and attacks. That ate away at the stability of the Underworld for thousands of years and then Albion and Ddraig fought.
The already unstable Underworld suffered catastrophic damage during the fight of the Heavenly Dragons. Then the three factions worked together to kill them which did not end things. After the war, we devils fought a Civil War which further caused issues.
Now skip to today where the two of you had a fight on a similar scale to the one of the Heavenly Dragons. Not a good combination for the Underworld, but that is my fault. I underestimated both of you as I thought Tiamat was still in the Dragon King rank.
I also did not expect you to get so strong. If I did not quit being the current Leviathan I would have so many issues to deal with."
She started to laugh as she was finally free of all that bullshit. No more paperwork and no more dealing with the Devil council. Those old fucks could not order her around anymore. While she celebrated Vander added one more piece to the puzzle.
"You forgot to mention the fact that God is dead. That must have meant something as well."
Serafall's mouth went slack and her mind went blank as she looked up at Vander. He noticed that Tiamat did not react at all while Krumdrum fell on his ass. He rushed to Vander and grabbed his arms to shake him.
"HE IS WHAT?!"
As Vander was currenty shirtless he pushed the dwarf back.
"I thought you knew. I mean has anyone seen in him the last couple of centuries?"
Serafall covered her face.
"Vander, we were trying to keep that a big secret. If the other pantheons learn our most powerful individual is dead they would not hesitate to attack. He did steal a lot from them to make his sacred gears so he was not very popular."
Krumdrum laughed at how much of an understatement that was.
"You think? That dick stole from us dwarves as I think he stole a treasure from the dwarf king himself to make one of the Longinus. He stile from the Greeks, Japanese, and countless others for his gears."
Tiamat added to it.
"He even took the souls of Alvion and Ddraig after they were killed."
It was no surprise the Three Factions kept it a top secret he was dead. Vander got to his feet as he was ready to leave.
"Krumdrum where did they go?"
"Your house. They all decided to go to your home where the ground was not shaking."
Vander thought that was a good idea.
"So, any clue on what you made them?"
Krumdrum shrugged.
"I can tell you about my daughter. I reforged her armor to make it a truly divine item that is bonded to her soul along with her axes. As for the other two you will have to figure it out."
Tiamat rushed to Vander as she pointed at Krumdrum.
"Wait, this dwarf is the one who made Dawnbreaker?"
Krumdrum nodded with pride.
"Hell yeah, I did. So, what did you think?"
Tiamat rolled her eyes.
"It was a great weapon. It hurt to receive the wounds from it."
The dwarf wanted to laugh with pride, but he kept it to himself. Vander noticed and gave him one big thumb up.
"Well done. Anyway, I will visit when things chill. Time to go."
Serafall and Tiamat stood next to Vander as he waved his hand. In a flash of black flames, the three of them appeared in his house in the main living area. The moment he appeared he noticed how everyone was sitting on the couch watching a recording of his fight on a giant tv.
La Folia, Naerdeath, Nerezza, Raynare, Dohnaseek, and Kalawarna were all watching it. They watched with fascination how the fight went on. When they noticed the flash of flames they realized who it was as Vander's giant form appeared.
"I am back and victorious."
Tiamat elbowed him in the ribs hard.
"It was a draw, you liar."
Vander held his ribs as he noticed how La Folia was looking at him with squinted eyes. He stopped when he noticed that.
"Am I in trouble?"
She crossed her arms as she titled her head.
"I don't know, are you?"
"Oh, then I am not."
He proceeded to sit down in between her and Naerdeath. La Folia sighed as it was impossible to get mad.
"So, you are Tiamat?"
Tiamat nodded.
"I am."
La Folia stood up and started to circle around her checking her out. Tiamat looked at herr as she walked around her curious about why she was doing that. When she finished she sighed and looked at Vander.
"You are quite lucky Vander. Anyway, I saw the fight, but it is cooler to hear it from the source."
Naerdeath nodded as she looked at Vander.
"Yeah, you have to tell us the full story. How did the both of you feel during the whole thing?"
Vander first waved his hand as he fixed his clothes. Once he was dressed he decided to start with the important things.
"I will get to the story, but first it is time to introduce our new members. You all know Tiamat who I had to fight for 7 days straight. It was quite fun don't get me wrong and Serafall who is no longer Leviathan."
Serafall nodded with a sigh.
"Let's just say I am in trouble for being the one to tell Vander about Tiamat. You all felt the shaking and quakes right?"
Nerezza nodded.
"While we were in the Underworld we heard about the damage that happen to many cities. Hospitals are surging with patients as chaotic energy spread through the Underworld and weak people could not handle it. I ever heard rumors that Cocytus was shaken up."
Hearing that made Serafall nervous.
"That is not good. We keep dangerous prisoners down there so if it was shaken they might escape. All of this is my fault."
Nerezza tried to cheer her up.
"I believe it was no one's fault. Master and Tiamat did not know they would cause so much damage. Right?"
Vander nodded.
"I thought us being out in the middle of nowhere and super far from all civilization would be enough. I think I underestimated my own strength."
La Folia had an idea.
"I think it was because we all gave you our bloodlines and you have never been pushed to your breaking point."
That was reasonable so Serafall also spoke about other things.
"As I stepped down from being the Leviathan they will have to get a replacement. In the meantime, I decided to join Vander's peerage as his Bishop. I should have said yes when he offered as I no longer have to deal with the devil council."
La Folia felt that was something worth celebrating.
"I have heard they suck balls. My dad is always complaining about them so I can't blame you for being happy. Welcome to the team Serafall."
Naerdeath gave her a big grin.
"You better be ready for all the Spartan training Vander puts us through."
Serafall looked at Vander who nodded.
"I am setting up a powerful team of battle-focused individuals. Meaning everyone on it has to train hard to break their limits. Even these three."
He pointed at the three Fallen which reminded him,
"Alight, everyone gets ready."
Vander brought out his Bishop, Rook, and two pawns and sent them in front of their intended person.
"You all willing to join my peerage?"
Tiamat nodded.
"Yeah, I did say I would."
"Of course."
Serafall agreed.
Dohnaseek and Kalawarna did not have much choice so they nodded.
"We agree."
Vander grinned.
"Welcome to my peerage."
The Infernity Pieces entered the chests of the 4 new members and released their powerful energy. Tiamat felt the surge of Infernity enter her Dragon Heart and begin to cause it to grow in power and strength.
Serafall as a Devil was highly compatible with the Demonic Mana and Infinity gave to her while Dohanseek and Kalawarna had the same reaction as Raynare. They all began to evolve to a higher state of being as even Tiamat felt the power boost given to her.
Her eyes glowed with dark light for a few seconds before she closed them.
"So, ready for round 2. I think I will beat you with this power boost."
Her Dragon Heart began to surge with power making her aura surge. As for Vander as he had consumed her blood he also grew in power.
"Ready when you are?"
His aura surged as they prepare to fight in space if they could not fight on Earth or the Underworld. However, Serafall jumped in between them.
"NO! Please don't. We can't handle another one of your fights."
Vander laughed at how scared she was.
"Relax, we won't. At least not yet."
Tiamat nodded.
"I should make sure I am at my peak of health."
Se sat down on the couch as she looked at the recording of the fight. As she did that Vander was curious about what Krumdrum made.
"So, what weapons did he make you three?'
Nerezza raised her hand and a blood-red orb appeared in her hand.
"He made me this magic catalyst that boosts my magic and can store blood for later. He told me this is what a Vampire like me would need. I love it."
Vander nodded.
"Remind me later to put some of my blood in it to see what happens."
"Alright, master."
As for La Folia around her neck appeared a medallion that surged with Infernity.
"For me, he made me this medallion that causes any spell I cast to be magnitudes stronger. It even makes me physically stronger and faster and causes it is a soul bonded item it will grow in power with time."
Vander was once again impressed with that dwarves skill.
"Once again I am glad I trusted him with my material. No one else is worthy of it. Oh, Naerdeath how did your armor change?"
She shook her head.
"I liked my armor too much to change it so it looks mostly the same. Still, why did he tell you about me."
Tiamat smiled.
"He said that as you were his daughter he wanted to brag."
That made her smile as her dad was always a softy toward her. Vander sat down as he prepared to tell the story.
"Well, who wants to hear mine and Tiamat's versions of the story?'
They all did so both he and Tiamat began to tell the story from their points of view.
You know what, I have two candidates for Knights that are not from DxD. It is two Fate Characters and they are badasses. Also, short time skip.
