Is This What You Want?

It's been almost a week since Joan left her matrimonial home. Steve had stopped calling her to come back home. He had left her to pull herself together and decide what it is that she wanted.

Steve felt miserable and it felt like his life was being taken away from him. He had lost weight and didn't put any effort into his appearance. He was looking like a shadow of himself.

He was packing his things to leave his office when Chloe called him on the phone. "Yes Chloe," Steve answered.

"Good evening Steve," Chloe greeted him.

"Good evening, how are you doing? Do you need something?" Steve asked because Chloe only calls him when she needed something from him.

"It's about the house, my landlord just left here and he asked that I leave the house if I'm not going to renew my rent," Chloe said.

"Yeah, about that, you don't have to worry I'm going to check out some houses after I leave work now," Steve said.
