Nowhere to Run

Emily is driving on an a abondoned country road after driving back from a friend's wedding. She is looking for a quiet, easy drive back home, however she is becoming more unsettled as the drive goes on. The roads seem strange, hollow, dark and abondoned. She decides to pull over on the side of the road to catch her breath. She pulls out her cell phone and tries to call her sister, Lara, but the phone has no signal. Emily continues to feel deeply unsettled in her environment. She can feel the tension invading her mind and body as the tree branches make weird noises, the wind continues to howl and she can hear a banging noise around her. Despite her fears reaching it's limit, she tries to opposite that with the calming effect she usually has on herself. She decides she has to keep going.

Suddenly, a scary figure appears to jump in front of her car, she screams and sverves and manages to avoid hitting him. Emily gasps for breath, she looks again but the scary figure is gone. Emily is not convinced she can trust her own mind at this stage. As she races to start the far again, she makes a disturbing discovery - the car is flat!

As her car sputtered to a stop on the abondoned country road, Emily checked her phone again - with no signal. The night started to fall darker, and darker and Emily gets more and more anxious i have to get out of here she thought to herself. She could continue to hear frightening sounds around her, sounds that made her jump at the first instinct.

Despite her fear, she had to get out of the car and keep going. She had to find someone safe to stay for a little while before she can figure out her next move. However, although she tried to avoid trouble on the way, fate had other plans.

Emily continued sweating and panting as she ran, and ran, and ran as fast as her feet could take her. However, she was stopped dead in her tracks when she ran straight into a strange, old man. Who are you she demands to know. Are you the strange creepy guy who's been following me.

He insisted she has gone it all wrong. He explain he's been walking around for hours. She is the first person he has seen. Emily is sceptical, but decides to give him the benefit of the doubt. He decided to take her to a place of shelter.

Emily is still sceptical of the old man and his motives. However she is too tired to come up with a alternative, so she follows the old man. However, her fears creep back in when he asks some strange questions what are you doing in this area anyway? No one comes down here Emily's alarmed, but keeps herself more calm than usual.

Fortunately, they found shelter in a hollow, old abondoned house with creepy windows, old furniture and torn clothes. The old man settled Emily in, and left to get some firewood.

Emily tried to collect her thoughts. As bed time falls, her breathing gets heavier and heavier - she can sense something is not right here. The wind howls and frightens her, the door makes an eerie soun, and even more alarmingly; the old man never returned!

She tried to sleep and wakes up sand sees a scary, masked figure in front of her! She is completely shivering when the figure quickly disappears. She goes to investigate, looking around and around the house, pacing her breath. She finds a hidden note being scrapped under her foot. It's crisp but the note looks like it has been there for years.

The note is not readable in English, it is compiled with special symbols. Emily curiosity peaks, but she can't shake her fear that something terrible is happening here. As the window continues to gush and knock over things, it knocks over some feathers on the wall which was covering something significant.

Emily examines the area of the wall and finds symbols written there, as in the note. As her eyes pace back and forth from the wall to the letter, she finds a extremely disturbing discovery as her heart just sinks in fear and worry. The jumbled up symbols on the note are clearly presented on the walls; they are symbols of body parts ripped out of humans who have been in the area! She also finds a severed hand which she recognised as belonging to the old man!

Emily is more terrified than ever; she can't understand why this is happening to her. More than ever, she is jumping at every sound; her state is going downhill rapidly and she has no way to stop it.

She realises she has to get out of here as soon as possible. With her heart pounding and her head spinning with fear, she runs out as fast as she can.

When she runs out, she realises she has nowhere to go. There are no lights in this area, no phones, no one to call for help. Emily is completely panicking, she has no idea what she's going to do next. She knows she is in deep trouble as her emotions pour out and her tears start flooding. This is clearly contrasted with the sudden decline in the weather as a clear thunderstood is approaching. As rain starts to flood the area, Emily realises she has to take action quickly. She has to get back to the car and do everything to get it started, even if it's a lost cause.

She runs back to the car and realises her car and her phone and are all gone! Emily is trapped, completely trapped. She truly has nowhere to run, nowhere to hide.

Suddenly, a car pulls up! Emily is alarmed as the person slowly starts to step out of the car!

What are they, and what do they want with Emily?
