chapter 1 _ First encounter

I was sitting alone behind the stage listening to one of my songs when he came to me and sat beside me. He collected one of the earphones and started listening to the song. At first, I was angry at the sudden invasion but when I looked up at him, I was like oh my ..  he was so handsome that I couldn't even put words to it.

I just sat down there quietly looking at him while he closed his eyes enjoying the song. It felt as if the world was on hold. While I was lost in my world, the song came to an end. I was lost at that moment I didn't know what to say. Then  I heard the most beautiful voice ever when he said. 

"hmmm the song is good. But I think the singer needs some improvement".

I wanted to say something but Then his phone rang and he Just got up and left. 

A few hours later. I'm in the hallway walking to

 class but, I couldn't stop thinking about the guy. How handsome he was. But somehow I can't shake off the feeling that I have seen him before but I can't remember where. Then I saw my friend  Kate running towards me calling my name.

" Laura, Laura" Finally she got to me breathlessly, Laura.

" Have you heard ?" she asked.

" Heard what ?" I asked her back looking confused.

" He came. Oh my God, he's so handsome" she said excitedly.

" Who ?" I asked her again.

"Jason is the top singer who has won many awards even Grammy awards. OMG, I can't believe he came. hmm. too bad he gave up his career and to take over his family business" Kate said with a disappointed look.

"Oh you mean your celebrity crush?" I teased her because she always talks about him.

"Are you jealous because he's handsome?" "No, I'm not. I don't think he's that handsome compell to the.." Kate cuts me off before I could finish my sentence. "compell to who?" she asked me.

" never mind. What was Jason doing here anyway?" I asked her.

"Oh! he's one of the shareholders of this university, and that's the reason why he came to the annual show. Ehhmm but Laura, why did you not sign up for the show.? You know you can sing" she added.

" Kate don't worry after all the show is over" I replied to her. That was when I heard a voice behind me.

"As if you can sing. You will only be embarrassed yourself in front of Jason and the whole school" Jane mocked. "Take a look at yourself in the mirror"

"Jane..." Kate shouted at her. "Why can't you just mind your own business huh?".

Hi, I'm Laura Jones and I'm a freshman at Greenheart University. I  live with my parents, my elder brother. Kate has been my best friend since childhood. I'm in the marketing department but always dreamt of being a singer. Sometimes I even write my songs. But some people tell me that music is not my thing and that I should just focus on my studies. Some of them are my parents, and one of them is right in front of me.

Jane Harper, the beauty in this school She has the brain, the looks, and everything you can think of. She carries herself as if she's above everyone. And she has been tormenting my life ever since the day I got here.

Kate pulled me away from her and left her in the hallway to enter class.

When I got home that day I just kept thinking about him. That night I saw him in my dreams looking so handsome. He walked to me and looked me in the eyes so lovely then he placed his hand on my cheek. I looked into his eyes and was mesmerized by his beautiful eyes. Without saying anything he kissed me with so much hunger and  I kissed him back. His hands were all over me. He was about to pull up my dress when I heard my clock alarm, waking me up from my dream. I sat on my bed thinking about the dream.

"Oh my God Laura, why did you have to fantasize about the guy you just met in your dream? I think I've been watching too much drama". l reprimanded me before I quickly got out of bed to get ready for school.
