Chapter 5 - Grandparents

Dana POV

I was called by my Grandmother to come see my Grandfather as I sit in his office.

Dana: You called Grandpa?

Grandfather: You have been kicked out of the family?

Dana: Yes, my parents did, my mother and siblings were in on it as well.

Grandfather: I see, I'm so sorry Dana, your more than welcome to stay in mansion with me and your Grandmother.

Dana: It's alright Grandpa, I have a place of my own plus I'm a AA-Rank now so I'm good.

Gramps had a smile on his face.

Grandfather: Truly, I was the only AA-Rank in our family, now there's two?

I pulled out my guild card to show him which he was happy about.

Grandfather: Excellent, so what's your plan?

Dana: Joining Grandfather's Royal Guard guild.

Gramps is the Guildmaster of the Royal Guard Guild, no one in our family has proven to gramps they can join.

Grandfather: Very well, I'll make the announcement that you will join.

Dana: Thank you.

Grandfather: It's no problem, so how would like to stay for dinner?

Dana: Sure, I would love that.

I spent the day with Grandfather going over the dungeons but also enjoying a nice dinner as we retired to Grandpa's study.

Grandma: So, will you be joining the family gathering?

Dana: Yes, my siblings are coming so we will be facing off with our cousins at the gathering.

Grandpa: Good, it's time my sons and daughters learned a lesson.

Dana: I won't let you down.

Grandma: Do you have to go, couldn't stay this evening?

Dana: I could if you would do me a favor gramps.

Grandpa: Yes?

Dana: I want to also be allowed in the family A-Rank Gate.

Grandpa: Are you sure?

Dana: Yes I want to test my abilities, plus that gates been open for far too long.

Grandpa: Very well.
