"Does that half-ling know who we work for?"
"I guess not."
"Mr. Jagger is our king, we can just tell him that a half-ling thought they could talk back to us."
Rolling my eyes at them, before saying, "Mr. Jagger is no king." then walking away. I was going to stay to see their faces but not really wanting to so I head towards Jess- seeing her with another hybrid, I take notice that she's just a light creature. The other hybrid is wary of Jess, but she tries to get them to realize that she will not hurt them. Stopping walking, I find another bench that has two people sitting there already, but I saw the space, so I make my way over to them. Once I sit down, I see that they're wary of me, but I don't hold it against them. Watching my daughter and the girl, I see something creeping up behind them- throwing a fireball while I move closer to them, until Jess takes the girl's hand and brings them both behind me.
"It's not wise to piss off a mother.", I say with my fire hand out.
"Freaks like you don't belong here.", they say.
"Why are you trying to take the girls?", I asked, ignoring what they first said.
"As if I'll tell you.", they snarl.
"I would if you don't want to be burned to death.", I say with a smirk.
Their eyes don't leave my hand as I make the flames bigger, so show them I wasn't joking- giving them a hard glare as I wait to see what's its next move. They bow down and say, "I am an angel, your daughter, I need her.", they say.
"Why.", I demand.
"Because she is the last of her kind.", they say, not picking up their head.
"Lift your head; you can't take my daughter even if she is the last of her kind.", I say.
"But-"
"No buts, she's mine and I'm going to protect her.", I state, interrupting them.
"We need a new leader.", they say.
"I know you do, but she is too young to take on that role.", I state.
"Then what do we do?", they ask.
"How many people are waiting for a new leader?", I ask, staring into their eyes.
"A few since there's this guy saying he's the king.", they answer.
"How many dark and light?", I ask.
"No dark but six lights.", they ask.
That's not enough. Biting my lip. I tried to think of a plan but I wanted the children to continue playing. I made a follow me sign before walking away from the children. When we got to the bench, the two parents that were there got up and let me sit down. Raising an eyebrow, I pulled the female down with me, showing them I mean no harm to them. The rest of them sit before talking a glance up to see the children playing, so I get down to business.
"The Hybrida-Moon family wanted a world where there was no light or dark. You need to find the dark willing to join.", I say.
"Means nothing dark are backstabbers.", they snap.
"So are light!", I growled out.
"That's-"
"Enough, I know dark who are kind. My daughter is dark and light.", I say, snapping.
"We won't get anything done if we keep fighting each other.", I state.
They stare at me, checking the time, seeing it was only nine-thirty; Jess comes running towards us with the girl. Smiling at me, she says, "Mama, this is my friend, Rosy."
"Hello Rosy, I'm Raina.", I say, sticking out my hand.
She smiles at me before shaking my hand, then they run off again- looking at the parents. I see them staring at me in shock, but not really caring. I put my attention back on the kids. They continued to run around when I suddenly got a link from Griff.
"Where are you?"
"I'm at the park, why?", I ask.
"Mr. Jagger slipped on me.", he says, sounding sad.
"It's alright, things happen, don't beat yourself up. Have you told Silvia?", I tell him, then ask.
"Yeah, she's looking for him and Walter is looking for Hunter.", he explains.
"Hunter missing?", I asked.
"We're not sure.", he answers.
"Shit, find someone who can back steam just in case.", I say.
"Why?", he asks curiously.
"If Mr. Jagger bites him, then he'll have the vampire venom in him which stops his healing abilities.", I explained.
"Alright!", he says before closing the link.
Not wanting to waste time, I called Jess; the rest of the people looked at me confused but I said nothing since I don't really have time- not wanting to leave them in the dark, I quickly explained what's wrong.
"Mr. Jagger has disappeared and he may injure a shadow being. It was nice talking to you, but this matter is important. But I hope to see you, all soon."
Speeding walking back to the campus but keeping an eye out for Mr. Jagger since I have no clue on what he's planning; using all my senses to make sure that he doesn't sneak attack us from behind or anywhere else. Once we saw the campus, did I notice something was really wrong here- rushing to stop Jess from getting caught in a trap. Glancing around frantically, trying to spot him. Seeing as I wasn't able to find him, I quickly link Griff to see if I can't get eyes in the sky.
"Griff, I know where he is but not his exact spot."
"Where are you?", he asks.
"Just outside the campus, near the forest where you were last night.", I explained quickly.
"What do you need me to do?", he says.
"Need eyes in the sky, but stay out of sight.", I tell him.
Shutting the link, I bring Jess behind me before placing an ice barrier around her, getting the front so she's not in danger of any attack that may be towards me.
