The next few days passed in a daze as Matt helped them shop for clothes and household items. Initially, Qian Qian had been scared and would always keep looking over her shoulder expecting Shawn to show up suddenly. And she would break out in cold sweat at these things. She had almost had a panic attack when she had spotted someone who looked like Shawn talking to Ella. Thankfully she had been stopped before she made a fool of herself. It was then that Matt had told her how they had fooled Shawn into believing that she had escaped the country and because his people had repeatedly failed, this time he had gone after her himself.
As Qian Qian sat in the swing, letting herself sway gently, she thought back to the man that was now her husband.
