Busted?

Her mother; Queen Lilith was a very strict woman though, she was nice whenever she needed to be.

She had long black hair. Almost the same length as Catherine's hair. She had small green eyes, small lips and she also had pale skin.

She was wearing a white silky knee-length dress, a white necklace, and white earrings as her crown sat elegantly on her head.

Rose gulped by hearing those words. She knew she was in big trouble this time. ' Rose, you've run out of luck today. Why couldn't you just endure all the princes? Why o why did you try to run away?! Mom is gonna tell dad about it now he'll just get me married to some fool without asking me first!' she thought to herself as she took hesitant baby steps towards her mother.

"Rose, you forgot to drop your phone in the palace, " said, Queen Lilith.

Rose blinked a couple of times. She was confused by what her mother said and replied saying "H-how did you know?"

The queen gave her a faint smile and looked down to the floor. Then, she took both of Rose's hands into hers and looked straight into her eyes, and she could see a hint of pride...Pride?! 'What is pride looking for in mom's eyes? She's supposed to be screaming at me right now and giving me the scolding of my life and I'm supposed to be begging her or did pride just miss its road?' Rose thought to herself.

There was a tracking app on each of the royal's phones so, in the last year-plus, Rose would drop her phone in her bedroom or her sister's or the kitchen just in case they were looking for her they could just check and see she was in one of those rooms.

She was in a rush tonight and forgot about the tracking app on her phone. If they ended up looking for her, they'd easily track her phone, and then she'd get into bigger trouble.

Her mom then sighed and said "I've known you've been sneaking out for the past year and, I know you only go out when Fredrick is on duty.

I encourage you to go live your life the way you want. For yourself and not for me or your father or anyone else.

I may not say this often but, u've grown to be the young woman I was once. I also used to sneak out all the time and I also never wanted to have an arranged marriage"

"Does that mean that -"

"Yes. I was betrothed to your father at a young age and I only found out when I was 18. At the age of 20, my father wanted to get me married to your father and I was already in a serious relationship with a guy named Lincoln. He was the love of my life. So the year my father promised me I was going to get married to your father, I and your grandfather made a deal that if I could bring someone better than your father as my finance, he'd let me marry that person.

I introduced Lincoln to your grandfather and he rejected him. He said he wasn't good enough to be my husband and he called him a pauper.

The day of my wedding was drawing nearer and I begged your grandfather...ON MY KNEES not to get me married to your father but, he wouldn't budge. Then, the day of my wedding arrived. I planned to run away and leave a simple life with Lincoln. My plan was a success and when it was time for me to walk down the aisle, I wasn't there. The only mistake I made was to take my phone with me. So, your grandfather was able to track my phone and he pinpointed my location and came to get me.

In the process, your grandfather had Lincoln killed and I ended up in an unhappy marriage.

Your father knows I never loved him and he knows I still don't love him. I had pure hatred for him but, over the years, the hatred I felt for him got replaced with something else I still can't identify but, I know for sure it is not love. So go my dear, go find the love of your life. I won't stop you, no one can so, give me your phone now and I'll help you place it in your room"

Rose was astonished by what she just heard from her mom. She never knew her mom had gone through such a horrible past.

Before Rose could reply to her mom, hot tears started to flow from her eyes like rivers. She couldn't even say a word.

"My dear, don't cry, it's in the past now and, you can't change the past. You have your life to live now. Don't sob because mine didn't go as planned. Now get yourself together and leave." Queen Lilith said and then she wiped off the tears from her daughter's eyes.

"And I see you like the outfit I got. I knew it'll suit you" she continued.

Rose who's morale was back chuckled slightly and replied saying "Yes I like it a lot".

"Hmmm. Now, get going and don't get into any trouble okay?" her mom asked. "Yes mom, I promise," said Rose as she turned around and walked towards the gate once again with newfound determination.
