21. Surety

Blood had drenched the royal clothes of the monarchy. The clan leader of the Oxhead Demon clan, Kong Om was forced to kneel in front of the throne. Lily was already out of her generous characteristics. Her eyes were simply dead. The red Ka was standing silently observing them.

Roro's footsteps echos through the Throne hall. He stopped beside the Ka. Ka looked at him with the corner of his eyes. Roro looked down at the reflection of himself, that was mirroring beneath his feet on the hall ground's floor. 

'Pardon us, Lords of Ruan's.'Roro bowing to them started an uproar in the air. Everybody shivered after hearing that word.

'They were Purebloods!' the followers were heard mumbling. 

'Ruan?! But weren't they just kids !?' Om was having a hard time believing,kids who are not of age were able to defeat them.

'And how can they be them?' he asked Roro. 

Roro explained that it was entirely his mistake to hunt in the area of Ruan's and apologised to Ruan Lords. Seeing Roro talking with them politely,Om understood it was Roro's plan to bring them there.

King Om yelled in anger,'You monster…' 

Om coughed out more blood. He looked at Lily who was watching him like a statue. 

'Dear Lords, we offer our alliance to you. So please spare my father.'Roro politely asked them. But still there was a hint of pride in him which didn't go unnoticed by Rose. Roro wasn't grateful but all of it was for himself,so that he could sit on the Throne. Roro wasn't the pureblood child of this Oxhead Monarchy.

'Alliance?!',Rose scoffed,'Who are you to offer us an alliance? Isn't your father still the head of your clan?!'

Roro wasn't prepared for the reveal of this secret. 

"Do you really think I would not know of your little schemes?" Rose smiled while her voice spoke inside Roro's head. Roro was baffled to hear her inside his head.He couldn't keep looking at her gold eye.He kept his head down.Rose smirks. 

'We won't be claiming your territory.' Rose says. 

'But as the Seigneur has lost the battle,you will be the next successor of that position.'Rose smiled.

'Thank…' Roro was about to thank her but Rose interrupted him. 

'But.. we will take your Knight's commander as a proof of your loss.'

Roro was surprised at the negotiation. He thought they would selflessly bestow the position to him and won't take anything. But the strategy of hers made him more surprised. Even though a Knight commander doesn't have the full right to control the clan's Knight as a Monarch's Heir, still the position is considered as powerful as a Lord of that clan. So taking them would mean that the clan has lost and is under their kind domination. 

Roro had heard about the sister being unique and now he has no doubt. He was glad that he took the risk.

'Very well. We gladly offer you our alliance.' he said but his comment was interrupted again.

'Who said it was an alliance?' Rose reminded him.

'Aren't they just ten?! Combat skills are fine to have at this age because some train from childhood to become more powerful,to enhance gifted abilities but she has brains too. She is well aware of the laws. Tips and tricks too. Not like those could bind us,but they are abided by them and follow them.' he started admiring their talent.

Alliance would mean that they have to help each other when they are in a situation. Because Jinns have longer lifespan, three generations are eligible to offer or grant an alliance regardless of whether they have become the Monarch or not in certain circumstances. The Seigneurs, the Lords and the Masters of a clan have the power to act. So, as a Lord,if Rose were to accept the alliance,it would be a valid deal. But Roro couldn't trick Rose in that.

'Of course,you didn't say that.' Roro admits defeat.

'What will you do with your father?!'Rose looked at the pathetic state of Om    

Kong struggled but opened his mouth,'Lords,please don't make him this clan's head. He is a monster.'   

Lily smirks, 'And you are not?' 

Kong couldn't answer. 

'He is cursed. He has three different heads. He is also half-human.' Om spilled his hatred towards Roro.

Rose and Lily were surprised. They looked at Roro. Roro transforms into his natural form. His head splits into two and from the middle of those a human head appears which looks like the human form the girls had seen in the university. He has two ox heads and one human head.

'Doesn't he have your blood running through his veins?'Lily felt pity towards Roro.

'His mother hid the fact that he was..' Om was shut up by Rose, 'Stronger. So? You could use a human but can't accept your offspring from them, why so? As far I know you demons don't follow any law with loyalty. Still, why are you following the inheritance system?'

Kong screeched.

"These kids..they are impossible to argue with. What to do? My eldest.."Kong thought to himself.

'The Throne rightfully belongs to my eldest son after me.. So..'Kong couldn't finish his line as the Ka stopped him, 'Rightfully you say?...' The Ka now speaks up in a tone that silences even the heartbeats. 

'Isn't she the one who is the rightful owner now?'He pointed to it to understand.

The ka stood in front of Kong blocking the view of the throne. Lily sat up straight. Rose frowns seeing Ka's attitude.

'You should let go of your greed now.' he sounded as if he was being kind but while it was actually a pity towards Om 

'You..you..' For some reason Kong was unable to talk anymore when he looked at ka. He trembled. The eldest son who was also forced to kneel looked at Rose. 

"The elder son wants to give up the position."Rose told Lily   

"I'm not sure if I should make the younger one their leader."Lily was confused.

Rose could see the younger one was kind. He knew Ruan would interfere when they hunt. But didn't expect the girls to be there. He thought Ersetu will catch their army and want to demolish the Oxhead Om clan. His strategy changed after watching the girls fight. The explanation from Rose worried her.

"So he wanted to destroy his own clan. The others know him that way too." Lily felt pity at his circumstances. Rose nodded to agree with her comments.

Lily asked Roro directly as it was a serious matter,'Why did you want to destroy your clan?'

Obviously their followers won't follow him as king if he intended to destroy the clan.   

Roro waited for a while before answering, 'They killed my mother.'    

Lily was surprised. "Just to avenge his mother?" her doubt was cleared by Rose that it was not the only reason.

'He doesn't care for his kids. He is blind to power.' Seeing the girls not believing the answer he explained more.

Lily confirms by asking Om, 'Is that true?'

She frees the eldest son as well .He gets up. 

'Yes.'the eldest one answered truthfully.'

'You traitor! I adored you..'Om yelled at him.

'No!! You loved me because I was able to kill. You would have favoured Roro if he could do that too.'the eldest son was surely angry at Om.     K,o-You..

The heart started to beat uncontrollably fast. Kong held his heart tightly to stop as it began to hurt.

'What did you do to me?' Kong's eyes were red. 

The sudden change in him Lily couldn't understand as she did nothing. 

'You are going to kill me?!' Kong asked with a sad expression. 

Lily felt a bit sad but she wasn't doing anything. 'What's happening?' she asked Rose. 

'No idea! But he is in pain.' Rose shrugged her shoulders. 

Kong began to roll on the hall ground with pain in his chest. Lily stood up. The scene was very painful to watch. After struggling for a while his body became still. The Ka stepped forward to Kong and stood beside the dead body. 

'Come on out.' he asked someone but Lily could not understand what he was doing. 

A black faceless soul got out from Kong's body. Lily and Rose were petrified to see that. Not only them. Everyone was terrified at the scene.
