C6 Changes

{ A/N: Hello everyone! Silent is here! First, I would like to thank the feedback and comments from you all as they give me ideas on what was wrong or how you felt with what I write. And second is that👏, I want to explain to you the difference in the worldlines before chapter 5 and after chapter 5: Shift.

It would be like this, so what the major change between the two is one; Kurisu is alive and not dead and two; SERN focused on time machine research. That was the simplified explanation but you can understand the complexity of time travel shit as I release the chapters.

Lastly, there would be some projects that the mc would be blabbering about. You may not know what the heck he's saying now but I will reveal it later... or you can speculate on what it is and guess right.

Walking through the crowded Akihabara, a person wearing a black and white hoodie strode past the people. That's me.

Today is July 29, 2010. Yesterday, I just stayed cooped up in my lab trying to figure out what changed. And from what I gathered, it was a huge change indeed.

Some of my projects were gone and some were added like the hoverboard that used quantum levitation as it's foundation. But major projects like the VALKYRIE and Eternity did not change completely unrecognizable, with the VALKYRIE not complete yet in this worldline.

One of the major changes with my projects was kinda unexpected. The 'me' of this world apparently focused on neuroscience, programming, and mechanical science and robotics. They continued and completed the DREAMLAND Project at the cost of postponing the VALKYRIE Project.

There were also the SERN's change. They began focusing on the Time Travel shit again. What do you expect when they intercepted Okabe's D-Mail? It's not like they would ignore it.

Also, it seems that Suzuha arrived here yesterday as expected. It was a relief that nothing major changed yet. If so then everything would be unpredictable and that's concerning.

Deep in my thoughts, I accidentally bumped into someone and they lost balance and fell.

"Um.. I'm sorry. Are you alright?" I reached my hand for her to grab and pull herself up.

She, the person I bumped into, helped herself up with my hand. "Thank you, I'm okay miss."

"Um... I'm not a girl." I said with a wry smile as she looked at me with wide eyes in disbelief. Not like I blame her, no, I really looked like a girl.

"I'm sorry, ha- haha😅." She said, embarrassed due to her mistake. Again, not like I blame her, I really look like a girl.

"Its fine. People often mistake me as one so I'm used to it." I said with a smile, not minding her mistake about my gender. Even in my previous world there were traps so it was not farfetched that I am one in this world.

"Um... I gotta go. I still have something to do." The person said as she ran off.

Looking at her fading silhouette, I can't shake the thought that she looked familiar for a moment. Maybe I saw her in one of the news in the TV?

Shaking my head, I put these thought to the back of my head and continued walking. Towards the Future Gadget Lab.

Makise Kurisu PoV

That was embarrassing. The only thing I can do was run to hide my embarrassment. To think she was a guy, I literally didn't expect that.

Shaking my head, I thought about why I went out anyway. Today, I'm going to the laboratory that Daru-san talked about. I'm going to find out what that pervert really means when he suddenly started touching me yesterday.

Navigating while walking, I found the place that Daru-san talked about. Looking at the stickied note near the stairway saying 'Future Gadget Lab's made me feel like it was a bad idea to go here in the first place.

Not minding the sketchiness of the place, I gave in to my curiosity and went up the stairs. As I reached the top, I heard voices.

"Daru! Where's did you hide it?!"

"What are you talking about? I didn't even touch the banana!"

"If it's not you then how can you explain that—"

"G-Gel Bana—!"

"It reattached to the bunch... is it really a teleporter?"

A teleporter? Curious, I entered and saw what they were apparently talking about earlier. It was an odd looking green gel banana. I raised my eyebrows intrigued at what they were experimenting on.

"It seems that you have an interesting experiment there, Hououin Kyouma-san."

He looked at me with shock as he said, "Ma-Makise... Kurisu?"

"I came here to confirm if what you said yesterday was true or just an excuse. But it seems that something more interesting came out," I pointed at the gel banana as I said.

What would I discover with this experiment of theirs. How curious.

Ruka PoV

"By the way, Ruka-kun, why are you going to the lab this time?" Mayuri asked me as we walked towards the lab.

"Well, I have something to talk about with Okabe-san. It's important." I said as I carried the grocery that Mayuri bought.

While I was walking, I came across her and we just walked together cause we're going the same place. I helped her carry her grocery though she said it was not heavy and can handle it, which is true, but I just insisted and carried it.

"Is that so?" Mayuri nodded in understanding before turning to me and continuing, "You can come to the lab anytime, Ruka-kun!"

I just chuckled awkwardly at her words, knowing that she was just thinking of dressing me up in girl clothes.

We climbed up the steps as we talked to each other. But as we reached the top, we heard voices coming from the lab and it seems they are engaged in a discussion.

"Tuturuuuu~ Mayushii desu~ Hmm?" Mayushii looked at them and counted the people in the lab, "Ichi, ni, san, yon... There's someone else?"

Makise looked towards Mayuri and said, "Um.. Hello, I am apparently a lab member now. I'll be in your care."

Mayuri's face lit up in joy as she strode towards Kurisu and held her hands saying, "A new lab member! And it's a girl! Mayushii will not be the only girl in the lab~!"

"Mayuri, calm down. You can talk to her later after they finish what they were doing." I said, making my presence known. I didn't expect that it was Kurisu that I bumped into earlier though.

"It's you?!" Kurisu said with shock and slight embarrassment. She didn't expect to see him(?)/her(?) here.

I just smiled as a reply and said, "You can go back to the analysis you were doing with them. Though, if you discover the true function of the Phone Microwave, can you not run out? I have something to talk with you two privately?"

"What do you—?"

"What did you say?! There was an electrical discharge?!" Kurisu was cut off by Okabe's loud voice, making her go back to them to talk about the Phone Microwave.

I bet she was curious as to what I meant or was talking about that its stuck at the back of her mind.

The two of us, Mayuri and me, sat at the couch watching them discuss the true function of the mysterious Phone Microwave. I just sat there waiting for them to finish.

If I want to reach the Steins Gate, I have to hasten the process of making the time machine. Change in the coming events is bound to happen because of my presence and my plot events knowledge will be useless. I'm not a coward whose afraid of change and I will change it to the outcome I want.
