You will Die

"Here is a small fact, you are going to die,"

that's the first thing I was ever told, my first memory, my only memory..... I don't remember anything else after that. Only the past few weeks, and how long these few weeks have been. Death has followed me everywhere, no matter how hard I try to stop it. It never will, Iv accepted that fact.

Oh, deary me, I seem to have forgotten to introduce myself. My name is Markus Zusak, Im sorry you've had the displeasure of meeting me, though now that you have you should probably enjoy your life while you still have it. I doubt you'll have it for much longer.

It's an effect I tend to have on others. I do hope that at least you will be different. However, that remains to be seen. In the city of Yokohama, there reside many people who would wish to harm the likes of us. So, I warn you, are you prepared to be faced with much uncertainty as we move through this hellscape together? I wouldn't blame you if you didn't. However, I cannot help but hold out hope that you will accompany me to the bitter end.

We will meet many people and visit many places I can only hope that through this journey I will find a way to somehow end my suffering whether that's through some unsavory means or ways that people will approve of I only hope I can be set free.
