1: Lost Island

The soothing sound of waves gently lapping against the shore was the first thing Draco heard as he slowly regained consciousness. He opened his eyes to find himself lying on a pristine beach, the golden sand warm beneath him. He groaned, sitting up and rubbing his temples, trying to piece together how he had ended up here. The sun was high in the sky, casting a bright, almost surreal glow over the scene.

Draco's heart began to race as he realized he had no memory of arriving at this place. Panic set in, and he quickly patted his pockets, hoping to find his phone. Nothing. His pockets were empty, save for some sand. His breath quickened, and he forced himself to stand, surveying his surroundings.

The beach was deserted, the vast ocean stretching out endlessly before him. Behind him, a dense forest stood, mysterious and uninviting. In the distance, he could see a river winding through the trees, a serene lake, and a tall mountain whose peak was shrouded in mist.

"Hello! Is anyone here?" Draco shouted, his voice echoing in the stillness. He received no response, only the sound of the waves and the rustling of leaves in the gentle breeze. He began to walk along the beach, continuing to call out, hoping to find someone—anyone.

As he ventured further, Draco's hope began to wane. Just when he was about to give up, he spotted a figure in the distance. A man was sitting by the edge of the forest, looking just as lost and confused as Draco felt. With renewed energy, Draco hurried over to him.

"Hey! Do you know where we are?" Draco asked, his voice filled with urgency.

The man looked up, his face etched with uncertainty. "I don't know," he replied. "I can't remember how I got here."

Draco sighed, feeling a strange sense of relief that he wasn't alone in his confusion. "Same here. I can't remember anything."

The two men stood in awkward silence for a moment, each processing their situation. Finally, Draco extended his hand. "I'm Draco."

The man shook his hand firmly. "Logan."

"Nice to meet you, Logan. I think we should stick together and try to figure out what's going on," Draco suggested.

Logan nodded. "Agreed. Two heads are better than one."

They spent the next few hours exploring the island together. They followed the river upstream, discovered the tranquil lake, and marveled at the towering mountain. Despite the island's beauty, an unsettling feeling of isolation loomed over them.

As they wandered deeper into the forest, the air grew cooler, and the light dimmed. Suddenly, a loud alarm blared, cutting through the tranquility and sending birds scattering from the treetops. Draco and Logan froze, their eyes wide with fear.

"What was that?" Draco whispered, his voice barely audible over the deafening sound.

"I don't know," Logan replied, his face pale. "But it can't be good."

A chill ran down their spines as the alarm continued to sound, filling them with a sense of impending danger. They exchanged worried glances, knowing that their quest for answers had just taken a darker, more ominous turn.
