Chapter VI: Demon King

"That sounds nice." Kazue said as he looked at the evolutions information. "Demon Kings are the rulers of almost all demons. Only excepted once a Demon King dies. All demons must follow it's command. Almost what some would call a God." Kazue read. He stopped and went exploring. No hunting or churches of any kind. Of course there was a few bugs and beast, but nothing crazy so he kept moving. Eventually he was at a village.

He had bad experience but he went to it anyway. When he stepped foot there was a adult man. He had short brown hair and overalls. He looked calm despite looking at Kazue. He was near the village and when Kazue got close enough, the man tried stabbing him with a dagger. He moved and used hardening in case he hit him."Why is everyone trying to kill me!" Kazue said.

The man heard him and dropped his dagger. "A talking demon?" He said. He almost couldn't believe it. "Say something again" the man said to make sure he didn't imagine it. "Why are you trying to kill me?" Kazue said. The man was shocked. He heard a demon talk. "I thought you were going to kill everyone here." The man said. "I don't kill people needlessly." Kazue said with a little bit of anger in his voice.

"Sorry. My name is Hayden Brown. What's yours?" Hayden said with a kind smile with a little murderous intent behind it. Kazue thought about it. He didn't want to try telling his name here. He decided eventually he would use a different name. "My name is Kena." Kazue said. When he did a notification appeared.

"Would User Kazue Ito change his name into Kena?"

Kazue didn't see what the point was, but said no. Kazue asked if he could go into the village. "I don't think they would be okay with you. Even if you talked." Hayden said. "What were you even doing?" Kazue replied with "I was exploring for something interesting to happen." Kazue still walked into the village, knowing they wouldn't be fond of him. Then Hayden was next to him "I owe you for trying to stab you. I'll at least get you somewhere to stay." He said with a smile. This time, without a ounce of murderous intent.

Kazue accepted and went into the village. When Kazue stepped on foot in, there was a whole commotion. Many village people came to see Kazue. Most hated him and hated Hayden for even being inside here. The rest disregarded it without a care in the world. They kept walking though it without hesitation. Soon, they reached a small home made from birch wood. At this point, they lost the crowd. They headed into the home. There wasn't much. There was a dinner table, kitchen, and 3 bedrooms. "You can stay in the guest room for however long you need." Kazue grew his menacing smile once more.

Hayden was a little shaken after that but the asked a question. "How did you get to talk, Kena?" Kazue gave a vague answer to dodge the question "From the very beginning". When he said that a woman and two kids came inside the house when she saw Kazue she screamed and took kids and Hayden out. They got out and Kazue sighed and went towards the door they left out of. After a while they came in, looking like they were wanting or expecting something. "Hello. Did you finish talking?" Kazue said.

The woman sighed of relief and said "Kena, it's nice to meet you. My name is Olivia" with the same smile from Hayden lending a hand to Kazue for a handshake. He shook her hand and saw a ring "Must be Haydens Wife and Kids." Kazue thought. "Nice to meet you too." Kazue said as he grew his menacing smile, of course not meaning anything, but they thought otherwise by being off put by this.

They eventually left and there was silence for awhile. Eventually it was night and everyone was asleep except for Kazue. He was sad that everyone thought of him as evil incarnate. Kazue wasn't happy about this thought. Then he heard a sound. It sounded like fire. He went went outside to investigate and what he saw was sickening. All houses were burned down with half the village people stabbed. He just saw all this madness happening and it made him angry. First he had to get Hayden, Olivia and everyone else to run out the village.

He had rushed inside. "Hayden! Hayden! You need to get out of here!" Kazue screamed He went to his room and Hayden and Olivia were dead. Kazue had a blank expression on his face because he can't process it. He checked the kids rooms to see them meet the same fate but with a man with stained armor, blonde hair, green eyes, and almost a lifeless expression, as if this was just work for him he was annoyed he had to do. Kazue was filled with rage. Kazue used hardening, so he took less damage and hits were stronger. The knight charged in for Kazue. When he did he had a hole in his chest. Kazue punched him with the wendigo's strength.

"2,000 EXP gained! Holy knight killed"

"They were coming for this village? Why?" Then it hit him. At some point they saw what he did in that church. "They must have thought a demon did it" Kazue said. "Someone would have to tell them that I was here though." He had stopped talking and looked for the rest he had to fight. He went to the entrance of the village so every knight saw him. In total there were 23 knights. "It's time to die" Kazue said menacingly. Kazue went in a 1 vs 23. They charged but Kazue punched them or kicked them. Awaiting the same fate as the other one. It lasted until it was morning. The fires went out and Kazue was patching dozens of holes with a plank of wood sticking out of them saying "Rest In Peace".

"Would User Kazue Ito change his name to Kena"

"Yes." With Kazue finally processed the death of Hayden Brown and the deaths that followed.
