Although he gained massive power for a single attack, this power put strain on his own body.
Taking some time to relax, Su Chen became happy with the skill.
It may not be able to be used continuously, but it allowed him to one shot his enemies.
Anyways, if you couldn't kill your enemy in one hit, are you really a cultivator?
Su Chen's dream was to be able to kill the gods and demons with a single swipe of his sword, ehm, hammer.
Half an hour later, the pain had completely gone away.
"That means that I can use the Devil's Bloodlust skill once per half an hour.", Su Chen calculated.
Of course, doing so would mean that he would not have any combat power for the next half hour.
Looking at the deer's corpse, Su Chen didn't believe that he would be able to take it back to the village to sell.
Even if he was able to, he didn't know how much coins it would sell for.
The hammer had hit the deer's body with immense power, causing it to be unrecognizable.
Resisting his urge to vomit, Su Chen didn't even attempt to put it in his sack, but instead decided to leave.
Just as he was about to leave the scene however, footsteps sounded behind him.
Turning his head to look at the direction of the sound, Su Chen was shocked to find that 3 wolves were walking towards his directions.
Immediately, he could guess the whole story.
The wolves most likely were already around these parts and the smell of the deer's blood attracted them here.
Normally, Su Chen wouldn't make such a rookie mistake, but he had been preoccupied by the downsides of the Devil's Bloodlust and had let down his guard.
Fortunately, the wolves didn't appear as imposing as Su Chen expected.
Two of them were obviously malnourished, as they were skinny and way smaller than normal wolves.
One of them was in slightly better condition and was most likely their leader.
Su Chen could guess that they were most likely wolves that had been expelled from a pack that lived in the center of the forest.
Instantly, Su Chen picked up his hammer and became ready for a fight.
The wolves continued walking towards him, unaffected by the change in his posture.
Suddenly, the wolves increased their speed and dashed towards him.
Before Su Chen could react, the two smaller wolves had already appeared on his left and right side.
Luckily, the increase in his realm had also improved his reaction speed.
Su Chen quickly swung the hammer with his right hand, hammering one of the wolves' head.
[XP +10]
He couldn't be happy however, as although he killed one of the wolves, the wolf on his left side had bitten his left hand.
"Fuck.", Su Chen cursed as he felt an intense pain on his left hand.
Swinging his left hand with all his power, he managed to get the wolf off his hand, but blood continued to flow out.
An immense rage filled his brain, as he automatically used the Devil's Bloodlust.
Smashing his hammer on the head of the wolves' leader, a silver prompt popped up.
[XP +25]
Su Chen however was still filled with rage, as he threw way his hammer and started punching the wolf that had bit his left hand with his fists.
Blood and the wolf's organs splattered around, as Su Chen's rage had yet to stop.
[XP +10]
Half a minute later, Su Chen's rationality returned and he was shocked to find the scene around him.
Rather than thinking about it however, he immediately opened the silver panel.
[Name: Su Chen]
[Template: NPC]
[Realm: Martial Disciple 1st Layer(+)]
[Exercises: None]
[Skills: Devil's Bloodlust]
[XP: 50]
Without hesitation, he clicked on the "+" sign, and the familiar wave of energy passed through his body.
Su Chen didn't stop though and clicked on the "+" sign for a second time, causing the wave of energy to appear once again.
Feeling his state, Su Chen wasn't surprised to find that the injury in his left hand had completely healed.
At the same time, his power had increased again, as he had reached the Martial Disciple 3rd Layer.
Looking at the scene around him, it didn't take long for Su Chen to realize what happened.
"This Devil's Bloodlust is really an evil skill, it can cause me to lose my rationality.", he thought but didn't regret anything.
He couldn't be sure that he would be able to kill all of the wolves if he hadn't lost his rationality, meaning that it had effectively saved his life.
"No skill is evil, the only thing that matters is how you use them."
"Moreover, as long as I kill my enemy in a single hit, I won't get injured and lose my rationality.", Su Chen thought and nodded before leaving the scene.
The next day, it wasn't the morning sun that woke up Su Chen, but an emotionless voice that sounded in his mind.
[The players have arrived.], the emotionless machine-like voice said.
Opening his eyes, Su Chen quickly dressed up and picked up his hammer before leaving the village.
