"Mm..."
The pink-haired girl stirred, her eyes fluttering open.
"Hey, are you okay? I'm really sorry about earlier... you know, for touching your tail"
I said, feeling a bit awkward.
"Hm? It's okay"
She replied, surprisingly nonchalant.
Wait, she's not mad?
"Um, then... who are you?"
I asked, trying to make sense of the situation.
"Me?
I'm Lala! I come from the planet Deviluke!"
She announced cheerfully.
"Planet? So, you're an alien?"
I asked, still trying to wrap my head around it.
"To you Earthlings, I guess I am!"
She said with a playful smile. Maybe some of the legends in this world really do come from aliens...
"But why did you suddenly appear in my bathroom?"
I asked, still bewildered.
"I used this!"
Lala held up a strange bracelet.
"It's my invention, the 'Pyon-Pyon Wrap-Kun,' which teleported me here from my spaceship."
"Why did you teleport from your own spaceship?"
I asked, sensing there was more to the story.
"I'm being chased"
She admitted, a hint of sadness in her voice.
"Lala-sama! Are you alright?"
Suddenly a child-sized robot suddenly flew into the room, its voice filled with concern.
"Peke! You made it safely too!"
Lala exclaimed, hugging the robot—Peke—happily.
"Yes, I was lucky, Lala-sama"
Peke replied. Then, Peke turned to me, pointing a tiny finger.
"Lala-sama, who is this Earthling?"
"Oh, this is Luca,"
Lala introduced.
"Luca, this is Peke. She's an all-purpose costume robot I made."
"Nice to meet you, Peke"
I said, impressed by the robot's intelligence.
"Nice to meet you too"
Peke responded politely.
-Boom-
Suddenly, two men in black suits burst through the wall of my house, debris flying everywhere.
What the hell? They just destroyed my wall!
"Who the hell are you?"
I demanded, anger flaring up inside me.
"We should have restrained you before leaving Earth"
One of the men said, ignoring my question.
"Peke, didn't I tell you to be careful when you escaped? They followed you!"
Lala scolded, clearly upset.
"S-sorry, Lala-sama"
Peke stammered.
"Are you prepared to come with us now?"
The man asked, his tone seems serious.
"You"
I said, stepping in front of Lala.
"I don't know what's going on, but if you're planning to take Lala by force, you'll have to get through me first"
"Luca?"
Lala looked at me, surprised.
"You seem like a good person. When a girl needs help, I can't just stand by and do nothing"
I said firmly.
"Luca, thank you"
A soft smile appeared on her lips. Is she whispered something?
"Lala-sama, please stop running away from home and come with us"
One of the men said, trying to sound reasonable.
"I don't want to!"
Lala shouted defiantly.
"Wait, is this a misunderstanding? Running away from home? Can't we talk this out peacefully?"
I asked, though I was already preparing for a fight.
"I refuse to meet any more of my father's ridiculous suitors!"
Lala declared, crossing her arms in frustration.
"An arranged marriage? In this day and age?"
I muttered, incredulous.
"Since you won't come quietly, we'll have to use force,"
The man said, charging at me.
"Luca, watch out!"
Lala cried. But in an instant, I moved and sent the man flying with a punch. A surprise attack. F*ck, another hole in the wall.
"You!"
The second man growled, eyes narrowing.
"WOW, you're so strong! Are you sure you're an earthling , Luca?"
Lala asked, eyes wide with admiration.
"Yeah, I'm one hundred percent Earthling"
I replied, as I dodged the second man's attack and countered with a kick to his head, knocking him out cold.
"Aaarghhh!"
He screamed before collapsing to the ground.
"L-Luca... Are you okay?"
Lala stammered, clearly taken aback. It must have been surprising to see an Earthling defeat her bodyguards so easily.
"It's okay. I'm not hurt"
I reassured her.
"Wow!"
Her eyes sparkled with admiration.
"Thank you so much, Luca. I'm really happy you helped me"
Lala said, beaming at me.
"I said I would, didn't I? Don't worry about it"
I replied with a grin.
"Em! Thank you again, Luca,"
She said, her smile bright and genuine.
After dragging the unconscious men outside, I came back into the house.
"I should call someone to fix this wall."
"It's okay, Luca! I can help!"
Lala offered enthusiastically.
"What do you mean?"
I asked, curious.
"This is one of my investions. Fix-Fix Repair-Kun, go!"
She exclaimed, pulling out another strange device. In an instant, my house was completely repaired.
-Clap clap clap-
"Wow, you really are a genius, Lala!"
I applauded, genuinely impressed.
"Hehe,"
Lala giggled, clearly pleased with the compliment.
"Now, can you explain everything?"
I asked, finally ready to get the full story.
"Oh? Sure!"
Lala nodded eagerly.
