Chapter 23
Kaylee turned around and stared at them, her eyes clear and devoid of guilt or fear. She could see the disdain in the eyes of that costume designer.
When the costume designer saw those eyes of Kaylee, she almost trembled.
"What an attitude! Don't think you can scare me with those eyes of yours." The costume designer warned in a shaky voice.
Kaylee rolled her eyes to the other side in disbelief. She was puzzled by the theatrics of this costume designer who was making a scene for no apparent reason.
"There was a misunderstanding, and it had been settled, so why create a scene?" Kaylee asked calmly while she sounded a little upset, staring boldly at that costume designer.
"We can't just trust people these days." The costume designer insisted.
Kaylee's mouth was parted to speak, but she swallowed her words back when the calm voice said.
"I'm sorry. Please don't take what she said to heart." Scarlett apologized with a smile at Kaylee.
