Africa.

Our next destination was the Saharan Desert in Africa.

As ridiculous as it sounds, I was so determined to go on that trip and find the stone. Even if it means going through a damn hot sandy desert.

As the days turned into weeks, I got anxious about planning this trip. There would've been problems booking a hotel close to the desert, since there were a lot of people waiting to rent.

My Mom was also reluctant about the idea, so convincing her to let me go was a bit tough. I didn't stop annoying her until I got what I wanted.

Eventually, she let me go. But for a weekend.

I was at Carter's house to play some video games and catch up with some stuff. May do stupid things too, like cover him in glue and see if he'll stick on a wall. What can I say? It's science.
