The Case of Iggy

On my way to my latest case I was reminded of how I became the detective I am now. See I wasn't always in the business of other peoples business.

I worked a job as customer service for a lottery service. I didn't know much about it especially since everyone seemed to just cash in their winnings rather than call for support.

I went on a vacation, just taking some days off, my grandfather had given me some coupons for my old boss's place so I stopped by. They were a nice Asian couple who owned a shop or two. I stopped by their convenience store.

It was slow when I got there and Mr. V was looking after the shop so he was chatting with me while I was there. It seems A celebrity of some sort had and he was wondering how to get his items back to him. While I didn't have an answer for him it stuck in my head.

After a few days at home I decided to go out. I taking the train to go back home after a visit out of town when I bump into a man. He and I ended up sharing a cabin and imagine my surprise when his traveling companion is none other than Iggy. The very same celebrity that had visited Mr. V's store. I talk about it with them and they agree to stop by.

I go with them to Mr. V's store. Mr. V insist upon us getting something for free and when we finally get Iggy's item, he gets emotional.

Iggy had been in Mr. V's store with a young girl and that girl had recently gotten into an accident. The strange thing was she had been adamant about the lottery company I work for running a scam.

I wasn't asked but I decided to look to it while I was at work. Of course not by asking but looking into our files of complaints and cases of injury in the news there was a shockingly large amount.

Then I got fired with no real excuse given by the company but by that point I had already made copies of all the evidence I gathered. I had kept in touch with Iggy's companion and reached out to him after I gathered the evidence.

I was able to get a termination fee and Iggy was able to file a lawsuit. It was a long lawsuit but with the evidence I gathered the police were able to get a warrant and their evidence took down the lottery executives involved. Iggy and the young girl gave me a part of the money they got from the lawsuit and it inspired me to become a detective.
