Ch.52 ۞ Emmaline ۞ Part II

"THE FIRST AND ONLY OF ITS KIND UNTIL NOW. While there has been two Sea Serpents," Veevy cringed at that. "Do you have something against it, Verena?"

Veevy pressed her lips together, "I'm not really a fan of reptiles, Miss Rowland. And not a fan of snakes of any kind. Definitely not of a Sea Serpent or of a Basilisk. They sound terrifying."

"Imagine their children!" She joked and lots of people began whispering something I could pay attention to.

"Children?" She gasped in horror. "Did a Basilisk and a Sea Serpent have children? God's above. That sounds like a nightmare." Her disgust was visible. "What kind of monster would that come out as?"

"There has also only been 3 Basilisk in our entire history," she added. "It's the fourth strongest order out of all, and it's terrifying in it's changeling form indeed. But not as much as the Sea Serpent, I promise you that!"

Veevy seemed horrified, "You met them?"

"I taught them," she grinned and that made me wonder how old she actually is despite the youthful appearance. "They are long gone now though. They have been fore years."

"The third strongest is a Hydra?" A nod. "Like the five headed monster that if you cut one of its heads it'll grow another?" I asked in dismay and she nodded again. "Damn."

"Shall we talk about Seers?" She asked to everyone. "We have two present here with us," and when she said that, I'm sure Veevy felt as uncomfortable as I did. "Could you tell us a bit about yourselves girls?"

Verena glared at her annoyed, "We don't have control. It happens randomly. It's dangerous and we might die while at it. When if happens we lose consciousness temporarily, our body freezes and shakes as of we were having a seizure, our eyes turn crimson red blinding our sight, and blood tears roll down our cheeks. The visions are confusing but clear and they never last so long, but they feel extremely real and may cause some affects to us."

"Affects?" Maven asked her, curiously.

She turned to him, "If we have a vision where we are drowning, we'll be out of breath in real life, and we'll throw up water, and our water magic might overflow and flood the place we are at," that's very explanatory, and it made my cheeks burn. "It's not like a illusion, it's the real deal, and the feelings we get on it are just as real. That's why it's dangerous."

"How are the past visions, Emmaline?" The professor turned to me and I moved on my seat.

"Like vivid memories. Some are terrifying, some are good, some are sad. Before we leaned we were Fae, I was always confused because I only had visions of Fae and I didn't knew what they were. But I had a feeling that it was real."

"What about yours, Verena?" She turned to her.

"I had visions of a near future frequently, so they were of humans around me. But some were of a distant future that hasn't happened yet, and those were the visions with the Fae," she muttered. "Can we go to Unicorns now, professor?"

A nod, "We have lots a famous Clan of Unicorns around us. They are the only ones in Astra as of our generation." What?

My eyes widened in excitement, "A clan of Unicorns?"

"The Mayas," Maven exclaimed and she nodded. "They are all Unicorns, no exception." What?

"Elle and Karol are Unicorns?"

"Oh my Goddess, I can't believe they didn't tell us about that, Veevy. Now their crest makes sense. They are Unicorns. Fucking Unicorns," I gasped.

"How likely is that? Shit, Em. We have a clan of Unicorns on our side. Unicorns. U-n-i-c-o-r-n-s!" Damn, that explains the name of our group chat. Unicorns are all related to the rainbow, so it makes total sense.

"Correct, Maven. They are Unicorns. The only rare order who isn't a changeling, is the Seers. All the others are part of the orders who change their physical body entirely when transforming," so Elle really turns into a Unicorn!

"What about the higher orders?" Veevy asked.

"Dragons are the strongest. Followed by Werewolves and Vampires. Then we have Mermaids, Fairy, Pegasus, and Yeti. Out of all of these, only Dragons, Werewolves, Pegasus and Yeti are changelings. Vampires are like Seers and don't change their appearance. While Fairy just grow their wings, and Mermaids their tails," information overload.

We blinked and stared at each other, "I'm almost asking if she's on drugs," when Veevy said that I had to cover my mouth not to laugh. "I can't believe Dragons, Mermaids, and Fairy exist. And Yeti!"

"I know right? The others are easier to accept, but the rare ones though? I feel like I'm hallucinating. Like this a big fat joke."

"The lesser ones go like in the order I said. And who can tell me the power scale as a whole?" But her eyes fell directly on Maven and he raised his hand. "Maven."

"Counting the rare orders in is Phoenixes, Sea Serpent, Hydra, Basilisk, Dragon, Werewolf and Unicorn tied, Vampire and Seer tied, Mermaids, Fairy, Pegasus, Yeti, and the lesser orders. Without the rare orders it'll be Dragon, Werewolf, Vampire, Mermaids, Fairy, Pegasus, Yeti, and the lesser orders," oh, wow, not only is he hot and cute, he's also smart.

"Perfect, Maven." The professor looked around at the class, "Can anyone here tell me how do these orders recharge their magic when they ran out of it?"

What? "We can ran out of magic?" I gasped.

"Are they really this clueless?" I heard a female voice the back but I chose to ignore her sneer.

"Yes, Emmaline, dear. We can ran out of magic. Especially of the parasites orders drink from yours!" The what?

Veevy scoffed, "Let me guess. Vampires?"

"How did you know?"

"They drink our blood. Our blood is magical. Sounds like a parasite to me!" Oh, good thinking. "They are parasites, aren't they?"

"We know you hate vamps, but stop vampire-shaming, Asphodel!" It was a male now and while I ignored it, Veevy turned around to glare at who said that.

"Where did you get that idea from?" She snapped.

"You posted on your profile!" Another female said.

My sister scoffed, "What? Did someone really read that shit? Why were you snooping around my profile?" Oh, she's good.

"It's snooping, Asphodel," the same male exclaimed. "It's a open social media. Everyone can look at it!"

"Hah, so that means you chose to look at mine. And can you stop calling me Asphodel? That's not my name. Or were you unable to read the important information on that app of yours too, guy I have no idea who it is?"
