Jaiden started awake to the sound of beeping beside him. He looked left to see floating text, reading the time and date in Aurebesh. There was a window past the alarm with what appeared to be a backdrop of stars.
Slowly, Jaiden moved out of the shockingly large bed and stood up. He walked over to what looked like a locker in the very spartan room and pressed his finger to what he recognized as a biolock. The locker slid open, revealing slacks and a tunic resembling an undecorated officer's uniform, at least in style.
'Kuati', his false memories told him.
As far as he could tell, it wasn't actually military, just very formal. He put on the fatigues and walked out of the room. He suffered some cognitive dissonance when the door glided open automatically. Blinking the weird feeling away, he walked through to be greeted by yet another spartan...living area?
A kitchenette was tucked into a corner of the box shaped room, in the far left corner from him, with a large square table in the middle. The walls were white and made of a lightly luminescent glass. The table was a lighter white and felt like high quality plastic when he walked over to lay his hand on it. The table and the large steel colored, throne style chairs around it made up most of the room. He imagined it was a combination entertainment/meeting/dining area. There was a more secure door on the far middle wall, to the right of the kitchenette. Moving towards the door he found that it was also biolocked. Scanning his way in, he found a large bridge style room that reminded him of the player ships from Swotor. The floor was black and just barely transparent, below him he could see a small fighter tucked in what was likely a small-ship cargo container. In-between a pilot and co-pilot's chair there was a circular console. He walked to the console and instinctually found his way to an overview of the ship and it's systems via the terminal on the side near him. A holographic model of the ship appeared and he instantly recognized a Teroch-class cruiser.
'That puts me around the prequel era…'
He pulled up the date again and started violently coughing. He had been off by about a millenia.
"Jesus Christ above why….oh."
'2647 ATC', was the year on the clock. He wasn't on a Teroch-class then, likely a predecessor ship, as he was sitting at 1006 BBY, 3 years before Darth Bane would join the Sith Army.
That was bad.to prevent himself from panicking, Jacen sat in his chair, and closed his eyes to think.
He cleared his mind, likely a strategy from one of his 'base persons' used to make him, and just tried to get his bearings. Then he noticed something.
'Is something...humming?'
He focused on the hum more and something opened a bit. The hum, which wasn't at all unpleasant, got louder...but only in the way you can scream or whisper in your head. It became more intense and more noticeable but not more... something. It was an impossible feeling, as if he had been deaf his entire life and could now hear again. He tried to 'touch' the hum in his mind and it responded by feeding through him. The harder he pushed the more he could feel it, like a stream flooding through him. He did this for a while, letting it calm him despite having no idea what it was.
He opened his eyes then and sincerely wished he didn't, because he was floating. Panicking again he dropped to the seat.
"WhaAa-whatthefuck"
Jaden's breathing picked up and it took a few solid minutes to calm down. When he did, he logically moved through each piece of information.
He was on a ship, likely a predecessor to a future mandalorian one with some Kuati influence and modification.
The time he appeared in was around the time of the Brotherhood of Darkness.
He could access, very easily in fact, the force.
Of the pieces he had, the last one confused him the most.
'Maybe... because I'm not used to having access to it...it becomes more evident. Either that or Astra made me so connected to the force that it would be impossible not to notice it.'
Deciding he'd deal with it later, he looked around his console. He hadn't even noticed he had sat in the pilot's chair. The knowledge of what everything did came to him in waves and vague recollections like riding a bike for the first time in a while.
Turning on the nav computer, he looked at his options. He didn't recognize any he was near, as it turned out he was in the middle of fucking space, so he charted a longer course to the closest planet he *did* know of...Korriban.
"Well damn... actually…"
'The Jedi don't typically train adults and the Sith won't live much longer. I have at least 5 years until Bane gets to the Academy...why not?'
He punched in the coordinates and almost started caughing again when he noticed it would take nearly a month to get there. Apparently, hyperlanes were more important than he'd realized. The ship had to keep coming out of hyperspace to get around objects at sublight speeds, which was fine in most cases, but he was still pretty damn far away from Korriban when you thought about the size of a Galaxy.
Sighing, he decided to explore the ship he was on before thinking of further plans.
-----
The ship had 16 rooms and areas.
There was an Art room, very Kuati.
6 bedrooms including his.
2 training rooms which looked like scaled down and less complex versions of the rooms used by Jedi on Venators, each had a sparring droid.
The engine bay held a computer room with all that entailed and a workshop.
The bridge he had already seen.
The common area he was in had 4 other door attached to it he just hadn't noticed before, 3 of which were other rooms and one was for a staircase that led below to the other three.
The common area for the lower rooms also functioned as an entertainment area with a few gaming tables. One door led to the engine bay, the opposite door led to the hangar.
The hangar was similar to the Teroch, but extended further to have an opening underneath the bridge, making the ship a little bit more unwieldy.
Another floor under, which was only accessible through the Hangar, was a large Cargo area with an elevator, brig, and training areas taking up some of the space.
Below that was mostly maintenance areas and access doors for the insane amount of weaponry the ship possessed. And by God was there weaponry. This ship could probably attack a small cruiser. Adding onto that was the fighter of an unknown model tucked in the hangar.
Jaiden was ready for the journey ahead...at least ship wise.
