“A gay one,” Seth said with a smile.
Mack saw a look cross Mitch’s face. Uh oh, he thought.
Seth went on. “We’d like a place that’s big enough to accommodate a large crowd, have a full service bar, quiet place for conversation, and a dance floor.”
“Would you be serving food?” Mitch asked in a formal, standoffish manner.
Mack, from his real estate perspective, recognized the tone of voice as the precursor to, “I’m sorry I don’t have anything that you might like.” A statement that underneath meant “I don’t really want to work with you.”
Seth looked at Mack, “No, I don’t think so. What da ya think?”
Mack shook his head.
“Well, there are one or two bars of that nature here in Billings already,” Mitch said, Mack noting the hesitancy in his voice.
