Chapter 1

Jiang Nan was surprised when her elder brother asked her FengFeng to stop when they were about to got college. It has only been a week that her elder brother returned back, he was completely unrecognizable from what she remembered of her brother. Her elder brother used be very handsome and fresh, he used to dote on her very much, he always used to take her to play and spoiled her. But, now he looked very different. His skin has become little darker and he looked very muscular and he always looked like he was ready to fight someone. In last week he didn't speak with them at all.

Jiang Nan remembered her mother told them not to bother the elder brother. She told him he was in dangerous place and just came back now. She looked at Fengfeng who was standing next to her and his eyes looked more determined.

Jiang Chen "Mother, I will drop Little Feng and Little Nan at school today." he spoke as he got up from the dinning table.

Zhou Ling was uncomfortable hearing this. It is not that she is worried that Jiang Chen will harm the twins. She is more worried about Jiang Chen, he has returned after 5 years. She didn't want to loose sight of him fearing any danger.

Zhou Ling "Little Chen , they are used to going alone, they can go by themselves. You take rest now, you have just returned."

Jiang Chen "Don't worry about me, I am fine now. Also I have some business outside." before his mother could say anything "Don't worry mom I am not going exploring outside. I will not be leaving the city."

After bit convincing they agreed to let Jiang Chen go outside.

As they came to the parking lot, he took the families battery car to drop the twins to school. It was the first time twins were alone with Jiang Chen after he returned. Twins were silent as they don't know what to speak. If it was 5 years ago, NanNan would have endless topics to tell her brother and Feng Feng would have 100 rebuttals for NanNan but now environment is silent.

Jiang Chen "NanNan, FengFeng you are 12 year old right.Did you guys participate in the opening ceremony?"

Listening to this both FengFeng and NanNan were sad. Current world is world dominated by Beast Masters. At the age of 12 they will participate in opening ceremony, where their beast palace is opened and their spirit value is measured. As long their spirit value reaches 100 they will be able to contract their first familiar pet. It is not that FengFeng and NanNan failed to awaken or they have less spirit value. It is the process after opening that causes them to be sad. Buying the first familiar pet.

Buying these familiar pets is costly affair. Even the most weakest familiar egg will cost over a million dollars. But their family can't afford that price. It is not that their family is poor but the prices are not in their reach. Many people even though they open their spirit palace they cannot afford a familiar. So, almost 30% of people who awakened are living common life. There are few who contract beast lately after they have money and they can't make much progress. 

Even Jiang Chen himself faced this scenario. He was awakened with spirit value of 175 and was very talented. His family could afford a beast at that time ,but his mother fell ill at that time and most of money was diverted to her treatment. Jiang Chen never complained about it. He completed his graduation and thought to buy contract beast after he earned. He used to explore secret realm for get a familiar himself. But because of an accident he was trapped in a secret realm for 5 years .

Jiang Chen "What happened, why are you guys so sad? Did you guys failed to awaken?" he asked concerned.

Jiang Nan "Brother, we awakened and we reached the required spirit value." she spoke with some hesitation.

Jiang Chen " That is good then." he understood the hesitation and sadness in her voice. But, he was not worried about it because he have his secret. 

Jiang Chen then drove his car to the outskirts, where there are few shops. 

Jiang Feng "Brother did we get lost."

Jiang Chen "No, I have small business here. I will drop you to school after that."

Twins were not worried and just followed their brother. Jiang Chen took them to a unopened shop which looked more like a storage house .Then he opened the shop and entered inside. It was not huge but decent size shop. Jiang Chen looked around and was satisfied with it. It was currently empty. There were two sections to the shop, front section looked small but back section was huge.

Jiang Chen "Little Nan, Little Feng you sit here I will comeback in couple minutes." saying that he went to back section closing the door.

Jiang Nan "FengFeng, is brother planning to open some shop here." she asked curiously.

Jiang Feng "I don't know. But this place is in outer circle, there will not be many people coming. Also, it is dangerous."

Jiang Nan "Hmm. Then what is brother doing here. Did brother rent this place?"

Jiang Feng was checking something in his mobile then he responded.

Jiang Feng "No brother brought this place, I just checked in the registry."

Just as they were discussing Jiang Chen came back. He has a pleased expression on him.

He looked at his two little siblings discussing secretly and was amused.

Jiang Chen "FengFeng when you opened the spirit palace, did the teacher suggest any attribute for first pet?"

Jiang Feng was surprised hearing this question. In the morning brother asked about the opening ceremony, they though he was just asking for the conversation purpose. But, now he no longer thought so. His brother brought this storage house two days ago, which can establish that he has sufficient financial strength. Now, by asking the attribute he was 80% sure, his brother is planning to buy them familiars. Just that thought made him shocked and his eyes were wide. Even Nannan came to same deduction. 

Jiang Chen "Little Feng don't think too much just tell me." he asked casually.

Jiang Feng looked at Nannanand she indicated to tell. She was most familiar with her brother before, he used to spoil her most. So, she know once her brother decided something he will do it for sure. 

Jiang Feng " Brother, Teacher told, I should prefer to contract fire attribute beast first. But, I don't have very high affinity either, I have good affinity with all the attributes." he know fire attribute beast are little costly, he don't wan't to burden his brother.

Jiang Chen "Good. Little Nan what about you?"

Jiang Nan didn't have any hesitation at all " Bother, teacher told me to prefer Lighting type." she said clearly.

Jiang Chen "What about other attributes, are they also good, is there any week attribute."

Jiang Nan "Brother I have medium grade affinity for Fire,Water,wood,ice,metal and earth."

Jiang Chen then understood, they are speaking in different wavelengths. Pokémon attributes are little different from the existing system. But, one thing is clear, they are not skewed towards any single attribute. So, it will make it easier for him to plan their development direction.

Jiang Chen "What about spirit value?"

Jiang Nan "Mine is 154 and FengFeng's is 155." she said pouting a little. Previously this value has nothing to boast about, as long you don't have a contract beast, this value is of no use. But, now it is almost certain that they can have contract beast. So, being 1 point less than FengFeng means he can always boast it out forever. This is unacceptable.

She looked at Jiang Feng who has a poker face.

Jiang Chen good, you guys wait here for couple of minutes I will be back.
