The Marriage Proposal

"You don't look so well. Um, should I go get a doctor or nurse or something?" Wendy asked.

"We-we can go together..."

As they walked along, Michael sent a text to a nurse who worked in the exam room.

The sympathy method worked on both Wyonna and Jack. He thought he might as well give it a whirl.

Or else, their paths might never cross again.

Wendy was there in the room with Michael throughout the entire physical assessment. After that, they sat in the waiting area while they waited for the results to come back.

Results would usually take several weeks. But because his family owned the hospital, that meant he was in a privileged position, and it would take only two hours for him to get his results.

"What am I gonna do if the results come back abnormal?"

"You're gonna be okay. Don't overthink it for now. It's just a two-hour wait. You'll get the results before you know it."
