Xyls just stared coldly at the blade as it descended upon him at a fast speed, a brow raised slightly with his legs still rooted in place. There was no intention to evade the incoming stroke shown on his face.
"Although the strike looks fast and powerful…"
Xyls kept his brow raised as the sword continued it's steady descent. The moment the blade had dropped to a certain point, the eyes of the dark elf, Xyls flashed in a strange light as he finally made his move.
Like a bolt of lightning, Xyls raised his right hand and caught the descending blade with unnatural speeds, a cold smirk drew on his face as he glared at the guard who was stunned, him being frozen in a now strange posture.
"But lacks power and explosiveness, making very easy to deflect or even nullify."
Xyls squeezed his right hand holding the blade of the sword with all his might, slight veins popping up on the surface of his neck and arm. In a few seconds, the T-EndMetal sword was shattered completely!
Fragments of glass and a few metal parts were fired in different directions, tearing through the wind then blasting into any obstruction. The terrifying might of the fragments were powerful enough to blast apart small boulder!
The red haired guard was stunned, he froze in spot with his hands still holding the short hilt of his former sword, the blade already destroyed with it's fragments scattered around the environment.
"H— How is that possible! That sword was made out of TechEnd Metal, it isn't just some random refined mineral any normal person can shatter with their hands!" The red guard guard roared with all his might, spittle being released from his mouth like bullets. The shock on his face was very difficult to conceal.
"You see, I'm definitely not a normal person. If you were doing your job very well, you would have noticed that from the start." Xyls said as he shook his head and lowered his hand. He wore a cold expression as he wiped the hand he used in defending the strike.
"Not a normal person? Not doing our job well?" The other guards, who weren't dumb idiots quickly picked up on this and stepped back slowly. They simply gave the red haired guard respectful glances.
If he hadn't attacked in a smart attempt as a strong warrior to gauge the true strength of the enemy, then the others would have been locked in a very tight situation at this moment. How?
The basic material used in the manufacture and the development of most weapons used by guards of the Chaos Castle was the TechEnd Metal, a rare mineral made out of metal refined by Searing Cold Supreme Qi.
Only beings above the Supernatural Soul Realm can destroy with very much difficulty. It was a tested fact that one under possession is unable to exert 50% over the strength of their possessor or 50% lesser than the strength of their possessor! Unless the possessor is a monster with limitless mental power.
If Xyls was able to shatter the blade with his bare hands alone, it means that the physical strength of his possessor was someone at the peak of Supernatural Soul Realm or someone who just broke through into the Superior Warlord Soul Supreme Realm!
A powerhouse of that magnitude, there was only a few in the castle able to rival or overpower it!
Terrified as they were, all of the guards scattered and ran off with their faces burning with shame and eyes shrouded in fear. Conflicted emotions rose in their hearts as they ran, the thought of letting such a beast into the city haunted them as they ran.
Some had families and friends in the city, a group of or a single individual waiting for them to return. Their actions now was plainly abandoning those people and leaving them to the heavens to look after.
'There are powerhouses in the city! The monster would be stopped before it wrecks any damage upon the city!' The guards assured themselves, none of them really believed it themselves, but fear had clouded their minds.
Xyls wasn't too stunned, he just glared at the guards with disgust in his eyes. He wondered what kind of incompetent morons are acting as guards to his own castle… Cowards with weak hearts, not fit to guard against the numerous dangers of the world.
He glanced at the shocked red haired guard and after much thought decides to just knock him out. As soon as the thought crossed his mind, his figure flickered and like lightening he sent a punch flying directly at the red haired guards face.
"Boom!"
The punch wasn't that explosive, but it was powerful enough to blast the red haired guard away, sending the male flying until he crashed into the gates to the Castle of Chaos. He slid down weakly and collapsed.
Xyls who was still under George's full control, turned around to face the escaping enemies. He lowered his head slightly and began to regulate his breathing, a deep aura of darkness seeping out of his figure.
Like a crazed sceptre, his body began to flicker wildly and numerous clones of himself were being fired at his targets. Each clone left afterimages as they made their advance, their gait quick and coordinated.
"Boom Boom Boom!"
In explosions of sound, and blasting away of cowardly guards, the clones faded away in blinks. As soon as they faded, Xyls raised his head and stared at the guards who were blown into the sky by his clones.
His smirk grew into a strange smile as he watched the guards land like bags of grain, the sound of bone cracking or shattering resounding in his head. He had his gaze held over the squirming guards, no longer showing a shred of emotion - even disgust.
"Sigh, taking over the body of another is truly very difficult. I had almost forgot what was truly disgusting in this rotten world…" Xyls spoke in a soft voice as he turned around to glare at the shut gates, "Well, I have business to attend to…"
