In Face Of Power, Intimidation Means Nothing!

George stared at the army of Corrupted Fae and after a while, his experience turned sour. Although he was a very powerful monster in the past, he'd never taken on an army of wild beasts himself.

Getting out of this situation unscathed would be nothing short of a miracle, and that was looking at it from an optimist angle.

For one, most of his AoE skills as of the moment were powerful but would deal terrifying back lashes - body exploding from the harness of too much Qi would be a very common example.

He also lacked in manpower, and that laid numerous problems for him. Problems like, easily getting overrun by numerous Corrupted Fae and simply getting crowded, or inability to stand his ground against relentless waves of strikes.

Although the system said he was able to revive, being as cynical as he was supposed to be towards it, he did not even dare put that theory to the test. George was not a retard who would play with his life all in the name of this annoying and useless screen.

"Are we going to kill them?"

George stiffened upon hearing the silvery, but barely audible feminine voice behind him and a calculative fire was kindled in his heart. He had almost forgot about his captive here - and he was ecstatic.

As for why she had offered her help in the first place, it wouldn't be easy cleaving out of this mess alone. If George was to fall, then she wouldn't be too far behind unless she was at least a few levels above the Divine Grade Realm.

"Of course, we are going to kill them. It would be a real hassle if only I tried to do it." George was honest, and his expression righteous, but his heart was full of numerous plots and schemes to get a few things he wanted out of the demonic angel - for one their battle style.

Why didn't he just study it during the battle? Good point, but he didn't actually want to do that at first and since he already had a living specimen during his second clash against them, it would have been boring.

Watching her fight against something else without fighting hard to keep himself in one piece was much more better, he wasn't some masochist and doesn't want to be one even in a thousand years.

"Can I use my wings? Am I allowed to eat some of them after I'm done? Wouldn't you be bothered by—"

"Do whatever you want, I'll simply go do some crowd control to prevent them from overrunning us."

Al'Hazrel nodded as her wings gracefully shoot out of her back, and the dark veins returned once again starting from her arms, up to the side of her face. Her eyes which was as dark as ink some moments ago, had begun to pulsate softly in a dim purple light.

George didn't even bother to use his sword this time, he simply sat in a crossed legged position on the ground and began to draw some crude looking circles with his index finger.

Seeing that the enemy had no more preparations to make, the Corrupted Fae who were done with theirs, roared deeply as they charged towards George with their eyes darkened and mouths wide open.

George didn't even look up to gaze at the monsters charging at them, he kept his undivided focus on the circle with beads of sweat running down the side of his face. He couldn't break his focus after starting now, the circles must be completed!

As for what they're for? It'll all be clear in a while, and all this would be over by that time.

Al'Hazrel who was standing right besides George just glanced at what he was doing, then hurriedly looked away with a frown on her face. Her eyes then locked on a creature leading the charge of the enemy.

It was a variant of the goblin species, a [Corrupted Goblin Guard] who must have reached the Warrior Soul Supreme Realm, allowing it to gain a huge buff in size compared to it's skinnier and shrimp like brothers.

"Eating it completely would give me enough energy to last another day with my sanity still intact…"

Flapping her feathery dark wings without saying another word, Al'Hazrel elegantly levitated towards her target with her feet just a few inches above the ground. Her body had begun to emit a grave and cold aura - with a hidden trace of beastiality.

"Roar!"

After releasing a seemingly fierce and terrifying roar to intimidate his enemy, the [Corrupted Goblin Guard] about 8ft tall, led it's group of skinny 3 - 4ft tall minions to battle with it's entire body giving off a bloody aura.

Following it's wild dash forward, the distance between it and Al'Hazrel was shortened by more than a half! As soon as it got into attacking range, it raised the heavy wooden mace in it's hands and smashed down with all it's might.

If a normal human was to get hit by such a strike, they would be crushed instantly to paste! Surviving a strike like that would be only something a being above the Elementary Soul Supreme could achieve.

Lifting her head to the huge mace descending down to her with it's shadow cast over her body, Al'Hazrel simply stretched out her hand as if to catch it - and with a massive shockwave, the mace crashed into her thin and slender hand.

"Hmm? Wasn't that supposed to hurt?" Al'Hazrel, with her hand holding up the mace had a confused expression as she thought back to George's blow in the beginning. The being before her had a much stronger aura than George, so it wasn't that her race were weaklings compared to the natives?

Al'Hazrel calmly squeezed, and the mace shattered in her grasp following a loud explosion of sound and another much smaller shockwave. After rendering her enemy weaponless, she stop a step back and dashed forward with all her might, kneeing the giant in the guts.

As soon as the enemy bowed down in pain, and the minions began to move, Al'Hazrel raised her hand, and with a resolute gleam in her eyes, clawed down with all her might, her fingers literally tearing through wind as it descended.

At the moment, the [Corrupted Goblin Guard] raised it's head slowly only to meet a claw that smacked directly into his face, crushing it's skull and plowing it's body to the ground.

"Awack!" - "Ack!" - "Gah!"

After killing the guard, she glanced at it's pulverized body and with a sneer, ruthlessly kicked it to the side.

All the goblins were angered, and although they might not seem smart, they do feel emotions like fear and anger! And at this moment, their rage was strong enough to burn down dozens, and rend hundreds.

But in face of true power, intimidation means nothing!
