Chapter 337 [Ashborn] (3)

[Who knew that a new [Ashborn] would appear within my territory...] - muttered [Ra] as he looked closely at the silver dragon in front of him - [It's amazing to see a new brother].

[Though you don't look so happy] - replied Cloud with a roar because if he spoke normally, [Fenrir's] soldiers would also understand him and it would complicate things a lot.

[I'm obviously not happy, after all, we [Ashborn] have our own territories in [Ashland], leaving only a few neutral zones] - replied [Ra] as the mini suns around his body began to burn brighter - [The moment a new [Ashborn] is born, there are only two options... one, another [Ashborn] protects it until the newborn can take one of the neutral territories on its own, or two...]

"That's not a bad idea" - Cloud nodded as he used his new body control so he could deactivate the sense of taste before devouring the squad leader's corpse. He quickly closed his eyes as he thought of other things in order to convince himself that he was eating anything but human flesh, only to let out a sigh as he saw the [God Eater] counter go up to 1 - ". . ."

"Where shall we go now?" - Shio asked as she wiped the sweat from her brow because with [Ra]'s appearance, the temperature of the place had risen considerably.

"Do you know about any place where there are many dangerous [Aragami]?" - Cloud asked calmly.

"Hmm... I have the perfect place, although I have to warn you that it's a bit far" - replied Shio as she started to think - "And it'll take us a lot longer now that we don't have a helicopter..."

"I think you're forgetting that I have wings" - Cloud snorted as he spread his huge silver wings and flapped them vigorously.

"Do you know how to fly?" - Shio asked excitedly.

"No, but I can learn" - Cloud replied as he began to soar carefully.

"I knew something like this would happen..." - Johannes said as he watched the huge silver beast begin to take flight - "The [First Unit] is a lot smarter than I thought..."

With the revelation of the true identity of the new [Aragami], the [First Unit] will now be much more vigilant about everything to do with Johannes and [Fenrir: Far East].

"They were able to contact Cloud, that means he still has his sanity" - Daigo said as he started to think - "And that makes him dangerous... at least for us."

"I suppose we can move some pawns from the central base" - said Johannes as he started to think - "But what we shouldn't do is to reveal this special information..."

"Wouldn't it be a better idea for us to report on Cloud Strife's transformation?" - Daigo asked with confusion because that was the most logical option.

"Normally I would do something like that, but this time we can't do it" - said Johannes while shaking his head - "We blocked the satellite signal of the fight between Cloud and [Amaterasu], that means if we hand over this information..."

"They will connect the information block to us" - replied Daigo as he frowned - "I see..."

"The second reason, is because I don't want the central base to fight with me over the right to investigate Cloud's body when he is killed or captured" - Johannes replied with a smile.

"How do you know we'll be the ones to kill or capture him?" - Daigo asked with a frown because this made no logical sense.

"Because we have something that the central base doesn't" - replied Johannes as a smile appeared on his lips - "The [First Unit]..."

"Right..." - Daigo muttered as his eyes twinkled slightly.

"Complete annihilation, sir..." - Said a soldier in the uniform of [Fenrir] as he looked at a man in his 60s.

"Was it the new [Aragami]?" - The older man asked as he frowned.

"No... according to the latest footage, the culprit was the [Ashborn] [Ra]" - replied the soldier seriously as he looked at his leader - "The new species only devoured the squad leader..."

"I see..." - muttered the older man as he frowned - "Were you able to retrieve the images on how this new species appeared?"

"Negative, sir" - replied the soldier - "Whoever interfered with the transmission did a good job because they not only erased the data, but completely destroyed it, making it an almost impossible task to recover it..."

The older man frowned again because there weren't many people who could mess with the members of his group of computer geniuses - "For now I want us to concentrate on that new one [Aragami], try to gather as much information as you can from him. I want a full report on his element, durability, attack pattern, perception range, elemental weakness, danger level, everything..."

"As you command, sir" - said the soldier as he withdrew with a serious expression.

"This is starting to get annoying..." - muttered the older man as he frowned, unaware that he wasn't the only one who thought that because many of [Fenrir]'s higher-ups wanted to know more about this new species - "I swear I'm going to torture the son of a bitch who complicated things..."

Two days had passed since Cloud was reunited with his team and he and his little travel companion were currently flying towards Sector 6.

"You've improved during these days, Onii-san ~" - Shio said with a huge smile because now the journey was a relaxing one for her. At first, she had to hold on to what she could because of the huge turbulence the huge dragon produced - "I still don't understand how you improved so fast ~"

Cloud just kept silent as he watched a small pop-up window that was in front of his retina.

"Talent... I think..." - Cloud replied simply as he once again marveled at how quickly his body was adapting to his situation.

"I guess we each have something we're good at ~" muttered Shio as she closed her eyes and began to enjoy the breeze.

"And what are you good at?" - Cloud asked as he gave the little [Aragami] girl a discreet glance.

"I don't know..." - Shio replied as she cocked her head to the side - "Eating?"

Cloud let out a laugh when he heard this because it sounded like something Shio would say. He had to admit that he was grateful for the little girl's [Aragami] company during their journey because he knew that if he was alone, he would have lost his sanity by now, or at least be on the verge of losing it.

"Are you hungry?" - Cloud asked as he looked around, only to notice a small group of [Aragami] lying on the ground. It looked like a group of [Ogretail] were trying to attack some sort of bright light blue harpy - "Oh? A Yan Zhi?"
