All of that didn't happened before he's afraid or something, but because he's surprised, he's shocked what for he's seeing.
Emmy is shocked to the point that he stayed in the same position for about five minutes not moving. He couldn't believe his eyes.
The interior of the café looks heavenly. The wall is completely white with a few ancient portraits hung here and there, the café itself is not too large, it's just half the size of the room Emmy resides in. The floor is just the same as outside, but there are more beautiful aquatic creatures here showing off their body.
The ceiling is more breathtaking, surface of the ceiling changes every minutes, displaying different artwork and portrait of ancient landscape with most of them took in sunset.
It can't even be called a café, because the room itself doesn't have the settings of a cozy café, although cozy but it doesn't have the setting of a café. It's more like exhibition of different artworks and design.
It has nothing like a roll of armchair, couple's table and other stuff that can be found in a café, not even those single table that depressed people like to sit on. This is just full of artwork, the single table that was at the middle of the café is full of blossom peaches. A single long comfy chair with pinky fur stood at the right corner of the café.
But there's something that gives it a single setting of a café, it's the counter, there's a counter at the back of the room. Behind the counter stood different devices that Emmy couldn't describe nor seen before, except for the coffee machine that stood tall among others.
But that's not what shocked Emmy, the interior of the wall, the floor and ceiling, the display of artwork and ancient works and the devices that stood behind the counter, all of those didn't take part in shocking Emmy at all, instead, it was the person that stood behind the counter in front of all the different devices and staring at Emmy with cheerful smile on her face, her pink lips resting on a coffee cup as she sips it, a half-eaten apple in front of her.
She keeps staring at Emmy with her charming smile that failed to disappear from her face even for a second.
Blond glowing and flawless skin, clear wavy blue hair and puppy blue eyes, the neon light reflected on her flawless skin giving it a sense of hue. She seems to be in her early twenties and wore a pink tight dress, Emmy tried his best to take not take his eyes towards her chest and as she stood up walking out of the counter, Emmy couldn't help but put his head down trying not to look at her back.
'Damn, she's really the one.'
Tiny waist, round and well-shaped butt that her dress tried its best not to reveal its shape to the world. She walks to the pinky fur comfy chair, sit and said;
"Why are you just standing there staring at me, I've been waiting for you."
'Huh waiting for me? Why?'
"Aren't you here to apply for the job?"
She asked.
"Yes, I am."
Emmy replied, coming back to his sense. He still couldn't believe his eyes, the person is front of him right now, not only has he seen her before but he also complimented her beauty, ironically.
She's the definition of beauty that Emmy met on his way home on one fateful day and telling her that she is ugly. The young lady just took it as a compliment and work away. Emmy don't know if she's the boss here or she's a worker here but somehow, he's not sure he can get the job, but he won't give up.
Instead of running away or looking scared, he would answer every question wisely.
…. well, he's already looking scared.
"If you're here for the job, then sit down for interview."
The young lady said as she gestures for Emmy to sit on the single chair behind the table full of peaches.
"hmm yea, thanks."
Trying not to embarrass himself, Emmy did as he was told. After all, he had been staying at the entrance for more than five minutes.
"You look nervous, are you scared of being interviewed."
Emmy didn't say anything, he just nodded in embarrassment.
"Oh well, I wouldn't have known. But trust me, the interview would be simple as ever because we urgently need someone to be employed here."
That alone calmed Emmy down a little. And it also seems as the lady don't want to talk about their ugly encounters.
'But what the f*ck did she mean by she's been waiting for me. Did she perhaps think that I'm the one she gave the card to?'
'I think I need to tell her how I found the card after the interview.'
The interview begins with her asking of his name, his age and the school he attends. Emmy expected her to be surprised when he said he's 16, but he couldn't found a hint of surprised on her face. And funnily enough, that was the few questions that was asked. She didn't even ask of his parent nor asked of where he lives and just like that he was employed.
'Is getting a job this simple or I'm just lucky to meet an angel?'
They moved unto business starting with the time he would resume to work and his closing time, the number of days he would come, what he needs to be doing and others.
His days of work is four days with the exception of Wednesday, Friday and Saturday which Emmy requested to be his days off because he would soon be going to a football training. She gave him a manual to study, a manual that contains details of every device in the café and how they are operated.
And then they moved to his payment which she said he would be paid a hundred Chint (Ç100) every month and can be increased in the future. Emmy almost laugh as he heard that.
'One hundred Chints? Is she kidding me?'
Trying his best not to show his excitement, Emmy concentrate. He never knew this amount of money is easy to be earned in a month.
He is to resume to work by tomorrow immediately he closed from school. Emmy stood up with excitement that he had even forgot the question he wanted to ask about the card, the interview went smoother than he thought and just like that, he had gotten a job. Completing half of his main quest, only to find a suitable football training remains.
"I'll get you an identification card when you got here tomorrow."
The lady said. Coming back to his senses, Emmy turned back and with confidence, he asked;
"Hmm, Miss Sofia, is it?"
She nodded confirming Emmy's suspicious of her being the owner of the café.
"Err, actually I don't know how this card got into my place, I just saw it on my body and I decided to find the address on it because I'm in need of the job."
Emmy said as he stylishly scratched the back of his head with his left hand.
"Oh yeah that, you don't need to worry about it. The card is mine after all and since I'm also in need of a worker, I can't send you away because I didn't directly give you the card. So you're fine. Make sure to keep it well, it will serve as your license before you get your identity card."
With that, Emmy stepped outside the café walking out of the building, he started walking straight but then he stopped.
"Damn, how the hell do I get back now. I don't even know the distance the teleporter covers to here and not even the right way to move."
Not only did he lack the idea of the distance between here back to the entrance of the estate, but he don't even know the right way to go not even the wrong way.
But he knew there might be a fast way back to the station, since he was taken here by a teleporter. So he shrugged and walk back to the cafe with embarrassment.
"Huh, I thought you knew a way out."
Miss Sofia said as soon as he entered.
"I actually don't know the right way to go."
Emmy replied.
"You should have gone the wrong then."
She said with a smile.
"I don't know the wrong way either."
Emmy replied scratching the back of his head;
"Smart."
Miss Sofia smile and pointed her hand towards a small mechanical box that stood on the counter.
"Use the invitation card on that device."
