"Maybe we can leave without Leo?", Duan whispered.
He knew that if they left, then Leo wouldn't buy anything for them and could somehow manage the cost of the food with his so-called money.
They would somewhat look bad, because their acts on the surface may look like betrayal, but in reality, they would look after Leo's dignity. Of course, Duan asked this with this idea, but none could understand.
"Are you crazy? Have you forgotten that Leo saved us just now?", Fen reprimanded.
Duan bit his inner cheeks.
"I remember, but I suddenly have no appetite anymore."
"Just follow him even if you don't want to eat anymore."
Duan nodded as he swayed towards the counter, following Leo.
The man working at the counter looked up and smiled.
"Hello, what would you like to eat?", he seemed rather nice.
Even if he saw the arguments and the poor clothing that the kids were wearing, he still asked politely, quite opposite to how the lady from the poor section behaved.
