Beast Meat

After a few minutes, the maids and butler brought the food. It was all on trolleys and covered in silverware. Blake had never seen such an extravagant scene before. The servants served the food on the table and opened the lids. Each and every type of food was available. Even the smell had put Blake in a form of a daze. He could see different types of meat on the table as well. He looked at Sheila as he had only eaten normal meat back in the orphanage.

"This is beast meat. It is good for children who have awakened their soul spirits. It will strengthen your body." Sheila said.

"So before awakening your soul spirit you cannot eat it?" Blake asked but instead of Sheila, the impatient Arya replied.

"No dummy you can't. So now stop wasting time and start eating. Me and Simon ate yesterday for the first time and boy was it the best thing I have ever tasted." Arya said licking her own lips.

And just like that, the lunch started. Just after eating the first bite, Blake could feel a tingling sensation inside his body. He didn't feel much power or anything but he knew that something was changing inside his body.

Seeing that Blake wasn't eating and was lost in thought Harold asked "What happened Blake?"

"Uncle Harold I feel tingling in my body." Blake said while looking at his own arms.

Anya chuckled and said "It's normal. The tingling sensation is the muscles changing form and gripping your bone. Continue eating and don't stop until it has happened all over your body."

Blake nodded and started eating again. After 20 minutes, the tingling sensation had gone through every part of his body.

'I feel more control over my body as if I am personally controlling each and every bone consciously.' Blake thought.

After lunch, Blake's stomach was assaulted with different types of deserts. It was one of the softest and creamiest ice creams Blake had ever eaten and he felt he was in heaven.

"Blake, Simon, and Arya go to your own rooms and wear your training uniforms and meet me in the training ground." Harold said

Sheila patted Blake's head and said "Come Blake, your uniform is with me. Let's go to our room." to which Blake nodded. He wanted to refute it and go alone as he was now a grown-up but he knew enough to not cause a scene in front of everybody.

As Blake reached the room he saw that it wasn't just a room but a full-fledged apartment in itself. It had 1 big hall, 2 bedrooms and a big balcony with a swinging chair on it.

"Wow, this house is so big." Blake said while looking around. He was about to go and sit on the balcony chair but Sheila stopped him.

"Blake now you need to change in your training outfit and go for training. If your late then I'll make sure to give you a good bump on that empty head of yours." Sheila said raising her fist. Blake subconsciously covered his head with his hand and said "I won't be late. You are the one wasting my time. Give me my uniform."

Sheila looked at the bracelet on her wrist and for a second the bracelet glowed and a red robe with the fire symbol of the Blaze clan on the back appeared on her hand. She threw the robe toward Blake and said "Here take it."

Blake, whose hands were on his head lowered as he caught the robe. He was going to look at it properly but suddenly received a smack on his head. The smack didn't hurt him at all but he still looked at Sheila with a wronged expression.

"The past few days have been a rollercoaster for the both of us so I didn't have any time to bully my little devil properly." Sheila said as she crouched down and held Blake's nose between two of her fingers and said "Promise me little devil, no matter how much you change, you won't forget me." and removed her hands from his nose.

Blake without saying anything just rushed into her embrace and hugged her tightly. He wasn't crying but he felt that from today onwards when he will start to use his soul spirit, things will not be the same.

There were many unsaid things between the both of them but they didn't feel like they need to say it out loud for the other person to understand.

"Wear this fast. You don't want to lose to Arya, do you?" Sheila said as she broke the hug and pointed at the robe.

Blake nodded and went into his room to change his clothes. After a few minutes, Blake and Sheila stepped out of their house. The red robe looked quite good on Blake and he was trying to get used to it.

"Why is it so loose aunt Sheila?" he asked.

"So that you can have free movement. This also lets the soul master hide various weapons under the sleeve and even the robe. They can even wear light armor under it." Sheila said.

As Blake reached the training ground he saw that Simon and Arya had worn the same red robe as well. Harold and Anya were also there. Harold's robe was red and golden in color while Arya's was Blue in color.

"Blake the robe looks good on you. I wanted a blue one like mother but she denied it." Arya said while giving her mother a stink eye.

Anya giggled and said "Arya you can get it only when you become a 3-star soul master which is not a feat everyone can attain so stop worrying about your robe and worry about your strength."

After that Anya and Sheila sat at a table near the training ground. Simon and Arya stood beside them while Harold and Blake were the only ones who were inside the training ground.

Harold looked at the excited Blake and said "Blake release your SOUL SPIRIT."
