First Mission

When I woke up again I was already inside of a cradle, it was already night outside and the moonlight was shining into my room through the window revealing the look of my room. It look like a typical room for a baby with a mostly blue colour pallet, probably because I'm a boy.

'I can't really do anything in this situation can I?'

I am after all a baby, basically an infant. I guess I can at the very least try to see if I have a system of some sort.

'System, Inventory, status' I make some typical commands that come to my mind and surely enough as soon as I say "status" a blue window appears before me.

'Ooh there is something'

Firstly I checked the shop section, it had sprit plants and all sorts of items, not any skills and the prices are quite high as well, fair enough. Thankfully there is a thing that I like there, a sort of tutorial so to say to mecha designing, it costs 100 points. That's pretty good if I could gain enough points before I'm 6 and awaken my martial soul I could already start learning a second profession. Honestly I would go for a mecha maker but that would need me to awaken my martial soul, and blacksmithing is too hard and costly.

I guess I should check out the missions now.

Hmm, for a task that involves only waiting I guess it's pretty good enough for a reward. I guess I should decide on some sort of plan for my next 6 years. My only option is really only training my body and studying.

For my first spirit ring I actually decided to have the same as Huo Yuhao though not entirely, I'm aiming for a 10k thousand year old Ice silkworm for my spirit eyes. I should be able to gain the spirit ability that has the 360 degrees 3d view with that, I most likely won't get more but that doesn't really matter. They are also pretty weak so I should be able to kill one and not die from absorbing too much. Yuhao could absorb a million year old one so I for sure will be able to absorb a 10k year old one.

I'm also not aiming to replace Yuhao, I probably even couldn't. My aim is to gain something of my own, I will become a legend with my own power, In short I want to create my own godseat, not inherit one or stay a wild god. Well that will take some time so let's bury this thought deep for now and take one step at a time.

Well that's pretty much all I can do for now, not surprising after all this whole worlds cultivation system relies on martial souls. At the very least I don't have to worry about my innate soul power, since everyone with twin martial souls has full innate soul power, my should be even higher than normal since I have four.

I guess that's pretty much it, the only thing I can do now is wait. I'm actually quite excited, I was pretty lenient about everything I guess in my previous life so this time I will want to give it my all.

While thinking all of this I let myself slowly drift to sleep.

When I woke up my eyes were still blurry, but I could still make out3 figures 2 men and a women I was in the hands of. One of the men was standing besides the two of us while the other in front of us.

"Are you sure about that?" said the man(the one in front of mc from now on he will be referred to as the second man or man2 whatever he is just not the first one).

'Yes" they both answered at the same time.

"His brother isn't too talented as we are, perhaps this will be a chance for him to not end up with the same fate." The woman said.

"Indeed even though you two are both children of titled douluos, your cultivation rank is only soul king, and the speed of your sons cultivation isn't too good as well, judging from your current situations none of you will be able to reach the level of a soul sage in this life time."

As the second man said that the couple had a sad expression.

"I see that your resolve to see this through is quite firm but I still have to remind you, that the survival rate for this is incredibly small, and so are his chances to stay alive after it ends." The man continued.

"Please don't say that or we might change our mind." Said the first man.

"Very well" the second man answered him and proceeded onward.

Wait a moment, low chances of survival, incredibly high risk, most people don't survive it...

'That's just suicide! Please stop I beg of you! There are other ways to get stronger in this world than this! Involuntary I started crying.'

"Shhhh, it's okay my child it will all end soon." The woman said to me.

'You will end soon you lunatic!' as I was venting my frustration a screen appeared before me.

My face went pale at this, It basically meant what I was about to do was indeed dangerous. After a short while I realized that we have already stopped.

"Let us proceed" Said the second man.

The woman that I presume is my mother put me in a baby bath full of some liquid (I don't know how these things are called in English or if you have them but I'm basically talking about the small plastic baths made for babies so you can just lay them on their back and they won't drown. Obviously that is if the water level isn't above the babies face.)

The second man put his hand above me, and I felt as some sort of energy entered me. It permeated through my body and I started feeling excruciating pain all around my body, It barely allowed me to make a move and sound.

It felt like I was about to faint, in fact I wanted to, but somewhere deep inside me there was a feeling, that if I do that there is no hope for me.

'Oh god it hurts so much, I don't even have teeth to grit. Is that the body sects congenital method, I thought the talks about doing it during infancy were a bit exaggerated, or maybe it's just my punishment for not specifying what fairly wealthy means?'

The pain was messing up my head and thoughts, all I could think was some random thoughts and complaining to get my thoughts of the pain. Through the entire process my blood was boiling, and my only wish was to die so I won't have to feel this pain anymore.

During the entire process I assume my parents, where hugging each other tightly while looking at me and the second man had a solemn expression the entire time, after a certain amount of time the liquid was basically not there and then it finally stopped.

My whole body was hot and slightly red a bit of steam coming off it, and after the entire torture passed I could finally cry out loud. My presumably mom had tears forming at her eyes and quickly ran up to me and took me to herself.

My presumed father had made and expression as if a huge burden was off his shoulders. The second man on the other hand looked elated and was all smiling.

"It worked!" he shouted. But I don't care I just let myself fall asleep in the woman's embrace and let myself forget what was going on just a second ago.

[I wanted to finish this chapter today and I have 23:54 on the clock so I guess I succeeded I hope I can post it before tomorrow begins for me as well. Anyway I really had to come up with how this first step was supposed to work the author didn't really give a lot of details on the process of cultivating the congenital method, but I still vividly remember that it was done from infancy with 10 years of bathing in spiritual items, and then learning to control your body etc. So just to clarify so I want have to later on in the story mc's grandparents are dead and yes he is in the body sect. And remember it's a fan fiction so I there may be changes here and there. Oh I also don't really remember if that method existed in Yuhao's time so I just assumed it did. I guess that's all from me]
