Chapter 32: Title At The End

Xue Tie groans as he gets up. He finds himself back in the hidden cove and in bed but he vividly remembers everything he had done and part of him is very nauseated by it while the other, a far more ominous part reveled in it. He is fairly disturbed by his own enjoyment of the slaughter as he hoists himself off the bed. He sits and contemplates as he gradually recovers his memory but part of it is fuzzy after bashing some random schmuck's brains out with a bottle of gummies.

He looks around and finds a little girl tucked in the bed he was lying on, a bed covered in blood.

But a moment later, Xue Tie realizes that none of it is on her and instead he needs a shower and bad due to the rancid smell on him but also to clean up the mess and maybe make the poor girl some food as she looks pale as can be. How a little girl like her is alive and lived to be old enough to awaken her martial spirit baffled Xue Tie, as this is Slaughter City after all. He doesnt know why she was kept but with her weak figure, it's obvious that there are less than savory reasons behind it. Perhaps as a tool to be used for bloody Marys but anything worse Xue Tie would rather not think about.

His first priority is to shower and figure out his next plan of action. To which he does, the cold bathwater he drew from some unknown underground water source and warmed up with his bloodflames cleansed himself of blood and gore leftover from his escapade.

He comes out of the shower and is drying himself off with a towel when he realizes that his new guest is awake. He sheepishly raises his hand "Yo, did you have a good rest?". The girl is like a statue for a few moments before she nods.

"Hmmm, that's good. Come up, ill cook up some proper fucking food for you to eat as you clearly need it. Then we will see what to do from there" He doesn't withhold his language as he believes that if she was truly raised within Slaughter City, then her vocabulary would have long left him in the dust. At least in terms of profanity.

She follows his command, shuffling out of bed with great effort, she has in her arms something that Xue Tie didn't expect, it's a blood splattered bottle of gummies. The girl takes out a gummy and eats it, gaining a momentary smile before becoming stoic again.

Xue Tie sees all this and can only willingly let her keep the bottle as he doesnt need it in the first place but he doesnt want the blood to make a mess. He wets a rag and sets it down by her

"At least clean the bottle, I don't want too much blood in this place if I can help it. Ill clean the bed later."

The girl sets her bottle down on her lap as she takes a seat, she raises her hand to grab the rag but it's slightly heavy, and as such. She uses all her miniscule strength to lift it up and it does so, landing on her face. She makes no movement to take it off. Like a dog after hearing a new sound. She processes the new sensation of the cloth she has never felt before as it's currently the softest thing she has ever felt.

Xue Tie fills up two glasses of water and sets it down on the table. The small impact makes the girl shake and the rag slips off. She sees Xue Tie across the table from her and then she eyes the table and sees the glasses of water. They have straws in them, or at least the girls do.

"Drink up, it's better than drinking blood anyways. You put your lips on the tip of the straw and suck. The liquid will flow towards your mouth" He instructs her just in case as he is not sure if she had ever seen a straw or tasted water before. At least water that wasn't mixed with blood.

Xue Tie gets to cooking, taking out some bits of beast meat he had stored away. The sound of slicing is heard by the girl as she does as commanded and drinks the water. Her face gains a blush as she wholeheartedly drinks the water. She quickly finishes her cup and begins glancing between Xue Tie and his glass on the table. Once she is sure that he isn't looking, she throws herself at the bigger glass, kneeling on the table, and begins to use her straw to drink his water.

Once she finishes, she basks in the afterglow of the taste when she notices a pair of eyes on her. Like a deer in headlights, she stills and begins shivering.

"Sit down" He gently directs her back to her seat. Though the tone of words might have seemed more harsh or possibly scary in someway as she shakes a bit but she still does and Xue Tie finishes up cooking.

She returns to her seat and Xue Tie comes around with 2 plates, He sets them down, his by his place and one by hers. She eyes the food which is now assaulting her nose like a torrent. She eyes water up but she doesnt immediately eat, unsure if she is worthy of such good smelling food.

"If you want more water ,just tell me, dig in" He tells her and refills her glass and gives her back her straw while he puts his glass in the sink. As he does, he hears the squeakiest moan he has ever heard. He looks to see the girl using her hands to pick up each piece and essentially shovel it into her face. Her hands and face are now covered in bits of hot oil but she doesn't seem to mind it at all.

'If her face reddens up anymore, I might have to just call her kirby' he thinks to himself

Xue Tie shakes his head as he gets to work more. He gives her his portion after cutting it up like he did for her first set. He also tries to ask her to use the utensils but she only looks at them strangely before eating like she did before. After some time, she finishes eating, but only after eating more than her own body's worth of meat, how that fit into that tiny body, Xue Tie has no idea but can only assume it's some female talent.

3 days pass by with the girl getting warmed up to Xue Tie. He was able to get her to bathe on the 2nd day together. She had been in there for 3 hours before he dragged her out as the water was getting cold. Her dusty and dirty appearance had been replaced by a cute but still very skinny young girl with deep purple curly locks. He did not make her hair like that, it was naturally curvy. The girl very slowly grew more outspoken and Xue Tie had finally learned her name, Yu Yue. It seems the man that Xue Tie killed with the gummy bottle that Yue is still holding on was her current 'owner'. A recent arrival to Slaughter city who had seemingly wanted to do good and had killed off Yue's previous owner who had mostly been using Yue as a blood bank.

Xue Tie found this out when he got confused over why she called him 'master' for the first time. He tried to deter her from calling him that and instead call him Big Brother Tie. Except without the malicious intent he typically provides to Bibi Dong.

Yu Yue doesnt show any intention to immediately call him that but she does open up to him. He asked her to tell him what happened during their meeting when he went crazy as it's the one part he actually can't remember for some reason. He gets to work on making some more presentable clothes for her by breaking down his own spare clothes.

(Flashback)

"Well, isn't this a treat?" Crazy Xue Tie says as he eyes the girl.

"Is that for little ole me?" He says pointing to the pristine white skull in her hand. Yu Yue looks between the skull and Xue Tie and eventually lifts the skull up to him. Granted she barely reaches up to his waist. Xue Tie smiles elongated as he took the skull. He rubs it a bit and looks deeply into it as if to look at his own reflection in the shiny skull.

"You should know that this is the first gift I was given since I arrived in Slaughter City. As such, i'll be taking you in as my apprentice. And it just so happens that I have a use for this skull." He declares with boisterous energy and walks over to the dead man whose head he beat in with the gummies.

"For you see, I may or may not have had a small squabble with my good friend Dave here. Now, through one way or another, his head blew up into the mess you see here. So i'm gonna give him this and he should feel right as rain" He says even though Yu Yue had witnessed the whole skull bash with her own eyes. She simply clutches her book as he proposes his idea

He puts the skull in the area where the missing head is and a glow envelops the whole body as the hand from the corpse, reaches up and grabs Xue Tie's arm. It lifts itself a bit as the skull adjusts its position to seemingly glare at Xue Tie before light dies out and the skull is evaporated.

"See, right as rain. Come along Young disciple. I, as your teacher, can't let you live in such poverty. I have a reputation to uphold" he almost squeals in agony of his 'reputation'. He also gives her the can of gummies so she can eat a bit for the journey ahead.

This is how they ended up with them both returning to Xue Tie's hidden cave and to the bedroom.

"Go ahead, make yourself comfortable" The 'mad' Xue Tie opens the cover and the girl who is tired from the journey doesnt have the energy to be mesmerized by the bed, the kitchen they passed by, nor the comfort of the sheets as she immediately falls asleep on the soft bed.

Xue Tie covers her and stands next to his side of the bed.

"I should rest too. But first. Everybody do the flop!!" and he follows his own command, flopping with arms spread onto the bed. Falling asleep as well

(End flashback)

Xue Tie is rubbing his forehead as he processes the bits he understood.

"Can you show me this skull?" he asks and Yu Yue takes out her book martial spirit and after opening it, a pristine white skull appears. Xue Tie takes this time to analyze the martial spirit as well and the book has a face-like pattern on it within a ring. If it was made of flesh and looked more distorted then Xue Tie would have immediately thought it was the necronomicon but it's not.

Yue gives Xue Tie the skull and he examines it. He then brings out the corpse of a low level beast he had in his inventory and sets it down on the ground. He places the skull against the beast's head (which is still there). There is an energy collision as the skull begins seeping into the beast's head. Soon the beast opens its eyes as it stares up at Xue Tie who is directly above it

"Yup, definitely a necromancer." he comments as the beast gets up, but other than that it stays in place, unmoving, not even a twitch from it.

"Are you able to command it?" Xue Tie asks Yue, who doesnt know how to answer as her ability has never fully succeeded due to Slaughter City always cutting off her energy output like how it was when mad Xue Tie was around.

Xue Tie notices this and says, "Try to command it to raise it's arm or think it while flowing energy into your martial spirit" She does as he asks and the monkey spirit beast lifts it's arm high into the air. It's head seemingly in sync with Yue as they both look at Xue Tie. The monkey was a bit slower, giving it an eerie feel.

"That's not creepy at all. Alright, dismiss your martial spirit.'' She does and the monkey falls over, the glow in its eyes gone and its head also sags, as if it just lost its skull from the inside. Xue Tie stores the body again and he looks to Yue.

"Alright, so i'm going to give you a cultivation method, you try to follow the energy pathway I tell you and you should get stronger. Because the way you are now, you will only continue being a slave to someone and I don't like slaves. So if you want to follow me willingly, then grow stronger" He says and rubs her deep purple hair.

Yu Yue = jade moon, Supposedly, I don't know if the websites I visited lied to me or if there may be some confusion because there is a chance this also means 'Diving' and then that is transformed into new characters that repeat itself with no other meaning.
