Chapter 75: Oh, the Chicken Leg Douluo!
Du Qianjue ignored the whispers behind him.
This match was merely a necessary means to strike against Shrek Academy.
Someone might ask, why specifically target Shrek?
So, ask this: What type of god is Tang San's Sea God?
Du Qianjue would answer: the God of Faith, and most of that faith comes from Shrek Academy.
With the Haotian Sect hidden and no trace of the Sea God family, only Shrek has been active on the Douluo Continent for thousands of years, ruling the world of soul masters just like another Spirit Hall.
You, Tang San, overthrew Spirit Hall, severing the Angel God's faith. So me, Du Qianjue, overthrowing Shrek, severing your Sea God's faith, and weakening your power, makes sense, right? Just by pushing Tang San off his pedestal and severing his faith in Douluo Continent, retaining even the peak first-tier god status, let alone advancing to a god king, becomes questionable.
Although it doesn't much affect the Asura God, reducing power even by a fraction is still worth it.
Every bit counts when it comes to increasing chances of victory.
Just stepping out of the arena, Du Qianjue's brow lifted as he looked up to the sky.
He sensed two subtle auras—one domineering and fierce, the other deep and profound.
Looks like Du Busi and Xuanzi are already clashing. "You guys go back first, I've got something to handle." Du Qianjue turned back to Wei Na and the others, his arms shook, and a pair of pure black, broad wings unfurled from his back. With a powerful flap, he soared up, creating a gust of wind.
Wei Na and others blinked in astonishment.
"So, junior brother has wings now? That means he has absolutely no weaknesses," Ouyang Qian commented quietly.
The others nodded unconsciously.
Then looking at the now empty sky, their faces twitched.
With that speed...
Anyone who thinks Du Qianjue is a poor aerial combatant would be sorely mistaken...
Di'ao Academy's team couldn't help but mourn silently for three seconds for the other academies' teams. Facing a freak like Du Qianjue, they'd probably live in his shadow forever.
Looking at themselves.
Well, guess I'm also in that shadow, so no worries there.
"Guess we're all doomed, folks," Yang Lian patted Lin Mo's shoulder, sighing in resignation.
Du Qianjue flew higher and farther.
After leaving Star Luo City by twenty or thirty miles, Du Qianjue reached an altitude of about 2,800 meters but planned not to go any higher.
Although he possessed the strength of a Titled Douluo, compared to level ninety-eight or ninety-nine Super Douluo or Limit Douluo, there was still a gap.
The battle between Du Busi and Xuanzi, though somewhat restrained and not fully unleashed, was still not easy to handle.
Better to just watch the show.
Du Qianjue pulled out a handful of sunflower seeds from his soul-guiding device, enjoying the scene in the sky nearby.
The sky had split into two parts.
The right side turned a dark green, with clouds swirling into a massive vortex, black-purple thunder and flames constantly converging within it.
The left side became dirt-yellow, resembling a sandstorm.
Each clash of these two colors produced a thunderous boom, and the fierce soul power fluctuations pushed out like shockwaves.
Clearly, the dirt-yellow side was at a disadvantage.
Maybe a seventy-thirty split, three parts dirt-yellow, seven parts dark green.
(Du Busi: Bullshit! If I were serious, I could slice him into seven pieces in three minutes!) "Ha ha ha ha ha! Xuanzi, haven't seen you in years, and you're still so weak?!" A proud and domineering laugh thundered from within the dark green clouds, Du Busi's tone laden with undisguised mockery.
"All these years and still only level ninety-eight, you trash, you rubbish!"
Xuanzi, unable to bear Du Busi's face-to-face output, launched a terrifying attack from within the dirt-yellow clouds towards the dark green clouds, only to be effortlessly blocked by Du Busi.
Within the clouds, the barely visible dark green giant and the dirt-yellow beast faced off.
"Damn it! Du Busi, don't think just because you've reached the limit you can humiliate me!" Xuanzi roared angrily from the dirt-yellow clouds, completely lacking any temper due to being suppressed.
"You haven't reached the limit!" Du Busi's smile unchanged.
"I am the Taotie God Ox Spirit, with pure dragon lineage!"
"You haven't reached the limit!"
"Believe it or not, I'll burn my bloodline and fight you!"
"You haven't reached the limit!!!"
Clang...
"Pfft..." Du Qianjue couldn't hold back his laughter, floating in the air, seeds spilling everywhere.
"Who!" Xuanzi shouted, sending a massive soul force pressure toward Du Qianjue.
Du Busi waved his hand, and a breath shattered Xuanzi's soul force pressure.
"Xuanzi, why so agitated?" Du Busi chuckled, suddenly appearing next to Du Qianjue, patting his shoulder.
"Let me introduce you, this is my great-grandson, also a contestant in this Soul Master Tournament."
Seeing Du Busi retract his hand, Xuanzi also withdrew his martial spirit, though his face looked extremely grim.
"Your great-grandson? I didn't know you had descendants," Xuanzi frowned.
Isn't Du Busi like him, a two-hundred-year-old singleton? "My brother's descendant, what's the difference from mine, isn't he still my great-grandson?" Du Busi smirked.
Xuanzi nodded thoughtfully, unable to refute.
But then he suddenly froze, turning his gaze sharply towards Du Qianjue.
Where is this?
Nearly three thousand meters in the air!
How did this kid get up here without help?!
Xuanzi's expression hardened as he scrutinized Du Qianjue more closely, growing more shocked the more he observed.
Good lord, wings as external soul bones, a body translucent like jade, obviously high physical strength, the aura indistinct but at least at the level of a Soul Emperor, soul force vibrations profound and deep, a foundation that was evidently very solid.
"This is your great-grandson?" Xuanzi exclaimed in shock.
Real or fake?
Such a genius? Such a monster?! "Ha ha ha ha ha, how about that, impressive, right!" Du Busi laughed proudly.
"Indeed very impressive!" Xuanzi nodded in agreement, "Why not..."
"Let him come to my Shrek..."
"Shut up!" Du Busi's eyes bulged, his Limit Douluo aura pressing down on Xuanzi.
"You old fart, thinking you can play games with me? Dream on about taking Qianjue to Shrek!"
Xuanzi's face stiffened, looking very uncomfortable.
"I warn you, don't think about messing with Qianjue, and don't think I don't know, I used Yin and Yang complementation to break through the limit!" Du Busi scoffed.
"Don't even mention if Mu En is still alive, even if he is, I dare to overturn your Shrek!"
"Yin and Yang complementation..." Xuanzi's heart sank.
Both being on the same level, he knew what Yin and Yang complementation represented, and a sense of defeat surfaced in his heart.
The small schemes that had just begun to form were instantly extinguished.
Xuanzi knew well, a Du Busi who achieved the limit with Yin and Yang complementation could indeed do what he claimed.
"How did you get here?" Ignoring Xuanzi's grim expression, Du Busi asked Du Qianjue curiously.
"Oh, you mean this?" Du Qianjue grinned, "I just finished watching a match…"
