"Zavia!!!" Catherine yelled.

A certain someone jumped from her bed, and her face landed on the floor… 'OUCH MY NOSE! DAM*!'

Just as Zavia was about to stand up, her mother rushed to her room and started to throw her things, while telling her what happened.

"Good day, Ms. Vicente!"

"Oh hello, Mrs. Carlos! So, why did you call?" Ms. Vicente cupped her chin.

"Ah, I just want to ask how's my daughter at school, like her grades so on and so forth… ha ha ha," Catherine felt awkward.

"Zavia did well, Mrs. Carlos… so there's no need to feel worried… She placed second in the whole grade!"

Ms. Vicente's words made Catherine lose herself… she was stupefied. 'Second place!!? Sh*t!'

Catherine ended the call immediately, unable to take in Ms. Vicente's words, she took a shower.

'Ah, so that's what happened…' Zavia faced the broken mirror and saw herself, broken, with cracks… perhaps that's her heart right now. It was being stepped on, and torn apart… by her own mother. How painful that is!

Catherine then turned around, and pointed her finger at Zavia. "Did you know how EMBARRASSING that was?" She said.

"But mom, did you even care before?" Zavia said, but the other party didn't hear what she said.

As Catherine turned a blind eye to what her daughter was saying, and continued to throw her things until there was only one thing left, Zack came back home after he went to the grocery.

Just as he was about to enter the house, he heard his wife yelling and cursing at her eldest… he immediately ran.

He then saw his wife pointing her fingers at their daughter.

"Catherine!!"

Catherine turned around and saw her husband, she crossed her arms and replied, "What?!"

"Why did you wreck havoc in Zavia's room?" Zack said and went to Zavia's side, and held her shoulder.

Seeing that his daughter can hardly stop her tears, he took her to the living room.

"And where are you both going?" Catherine grabbed Zack's hand.

Zack shook Catherine's hand off.

"What!? Should I let my daughter get cursed by you for ABSOLUTELY no reason at all?!

"Tell me Catherine, what's the reason that you are cursing and scolding at OUR daughter again? Huh!" Zack said. He glared at Catherine whose face, now turned pale and red with anger.

"She fuc*ing placed second! SECOND-"

"So what? Why do you have to make a big deal out of it? What's important is that she tried her best! Her best!" Zack cut her sentence off.

"Enough!! I'm tired, just let me sleep!" Zavia then went to her room, she shut the door and locked it.

"Hey! Zavia! Come out! You dare talk in front of me? Come out you ungrateful brat!" Catherine said again…

"Stop talking or else I'll divorce you!" Zack said before walking away.

Another day came. It was raining hard, but the temperature was 30 degrees Celsius.

Zack knocked on Zavia's door.

Zavia got up and opened the door, there she saw her father.

Zack had a sharp jawline, perfectly curved eyelashes, his eyes were sharp, his nose seemed like it was made by a famous craftsman. 'No wonder mom fell for dad… but, dad's quite unlucky.'

"Zavi, let's have a talk shall we?"
