THE JEALOUS CAT
With the danger coming from the lava breathing beast finally out of their concern, the trio finally got a chance to face each other.
"MEOW"
[little lad, are you hurt anywhere?----]
"Milady are you hurt anywhere?"
Long Fuzi and the little black cat Janus asked Mu Lingxi at the same time. Hearing the man opposite him utter the same word of concern he just said, the little black cat would like to raise an eyebrow. Sad to say, he doesn't have one.
"MEOW"
[And who is this fellow little girl???] Janus looked at Mu Lingxi questioningly.
"He is..... my savior." Mu Lingxi blush unsure what to address the man.
She does not even got a chance to know his name. She grab Janus and carried it on her arms as she tried to walk pass Long Fuzi, hiding her face just in case the man would notice that she was starting to blush again.
"What heck is with this teenage hormone?!!!! I'm getting more and more girlish! DARN!!!"
Mu Lingxi choose to blame her hormone for this unfamiliar feeling.
"MEOW????"
[OWWWWW??? Your savior is that it????] Janus replied in a catty remark.
Long Fuzi didn't notice the unfriendly stare of the little cat uses to look at him as he followed Mu Lingxi.
"Milady, please join me on the banquet. My younger brother was celebrating his 18th name day today, and if you may please I would like to invite you as my guest."
"What did you say?!!!!" Mu Lingxi abruptly turn around to face him, with eyes wide open.
"Ohhh... I--I was just thinking I should thank you and your spiritual beast for saving me." Long Fuzi said stammering.
He was trying too hard to avoid blushing. He was worried that Mu Lingxi will turn down his invitation thinking that he might have any ill intention.
Mu Lingxi know that she overreacted just a while ago so she tried to rephrase her question and said meekly.
"What I mean to asked is,... Are you a prince????"
Why do I keep on meeting a prince this time????? When did they become easy to meet???
Mu Lingxi asked herself.
"Ohhh? YES! It's my pleasure meeting you milady. My name is Long Fuzi. I am the third son of the emperor with Empress Qi. So we can say, I am the third prince!" he said as he reached for Mu Lingxi hand like a gentleman.
He bow his head and was about to kiss the back of Mu Lingxi's hand when he heard a low growl
[Go ahead,... try your luck little lad] Janus said in his mind as he glared on Long Fuzi
Long Fuzi was not sure why the hair in his neck stand but he doesn't feel good how the cat look at him
"Ehem" he cleared his throat as he let go of Mu Lingxi's hand, and choose to go against kissing it.
"Please give me a minute" he said as he walk close to the lying lava breathing beast. He took out his dagger and effortlessly remove the ruby like crystal on its head.
"I wonder if milady will allow me to take this magical nucleus? I was actually planning to gift this to my younger brother that is why I decided to hunt the lava breathing boar today." he said.
"Ohhh.. yes sure. You can have it. It does not have any use for me anyways. By the way, my name is Mu Lingxi from the Mu Clan."
Lingxi said and introduce herself. She does not like the feeling of being called milady. So perfunctory she thought.
