Chapter 51: Beast

Word spread fast, everyone on camp knew that the new addition was a 'friend' of the famous trio of Demigods that had a reputation on camp. Enychta was very uncomfortable in this camp, constantly having the feeling he was being observed, by either mortal or divine, and he sincerely thought that maybe both were spying on him. Well, at least Hermes and Persephone were since he was boning their children... Anyway, not only was he was popular for being a part of the now-famous Blinding Quarter.

The reason they got this nickname was because of their appearance, they were blindingly beautiful, even for Demigods standards, even for the Aphrodite Cabin, they were all beautiful. There were fan clubs for the trio before, and now the "Beast Fanclub" was born too.

Oh, forgot to tell but they all had nicknames now too. Apparently, it was a good way to talk about them without them knowing, but all it took to know their nicknames was to ask someone politely... Well, Luke asked, Eny thought of threatening them to tell him, as a gangster would do!

Pruno had the [Rose] nickname, as beautiful as a rose but with just as thorns, he got this nickname for his appearance and powers to control plants as well as cause decay and destruction around him.

Luke got the [Angel] nickname, not only because of his appearance and personality but because of his new father's gift, a shoe with wings that permitted him to fly. Some younger campers saw him fly with those shoes and called him angel, the nickname just stuck and everyone called him that.

Thalia had the [Electra] nickname, not only because of her appearance, powers, and father but also because of her very energetic personality and punk attitude, her eyes would glow electric blue every time she was angry and that made some people slightly hornier than they should have been, which made Thalia break their bones and send them to the Apollo cabin.

And Enychta... Not everyone knew his name, he just arrived yesterday, so they called him by his nickname that quickly spread: [Beast]. He received this nickname for many reasons, one of them being his apprentice and how the satyrs and other Demigods talked about him, his eyes had slits for pupils and the feeling he gave off, the aura, was from a wild monster that could easily kill them all and live after... It scared a lot of the campers and made some wary of him, but even so, he got a reputation already! He was known for being protective, because of the way he spread his wings to shield his family from possible danger as well as the way he kindly waited while Annabeth and Pruno braided his long, black hair. He was trusted by them, not only because they weren't afraid of the feeling of danger Enychta gave off but also trusted him enough to sleep on top of him! That happened when people saw how Luke, a very popular camper known for his kind demeanor, slept on his arms.

The children of Aphrodite squealed like seagulls when they saw that, they couldn't ignore the obvious shipping material that there was, so through the course of the first week Enychta was there, all eyes were on their group, which made Annabeth a little more popular too among the younger campers! But what most children of Aphrodite were doing there was collecting shipping material, they observed how Enychta interacted with the three other older members of their group, and soon shipping intensified.

However, the Electra ships were not that famous amongst the children of Aphrodite. Why? Well, because of the way that Enychta, Luke, and Pruno were with each other, how they were always touching all the time. The first week, Enychta didn't leave Pruno nor Luke alone for more than five minutes, following them like a lost puppy, always keeping them close to himself. Lucky for him, no one wanted to challenge him because of the wild vibes he gave them, as well as how scary he looked with all those scars around his body and how Chiron advised against challenging him to a duel or battle. This of course made some older members of the Ares Cabin get excited and challenge him, to which they regretted when he broke their bones so easily without using any type of weapon...

His aggressiveness made some of the Athena Cabin put him together with the muscle heads, in this case, the Ares cabin, to which Annabeth disagreed. She told them that Enychta was much smarter than any of them could ever be, which of course enraged some of the prouder members of the Athena cabin and had the challenge Enychta for a battle of wits!

Which they completely lost and were humiliated by him.

That was a fun day because he played chess against 8 of the older children of Athena at the same time, using different movements, and won all 8 games easily. It was funny to see their faces as they lost, one of them even lost with just ta movements because he was too confident and didn't even think much of his first few movements, giving Enychta the perfect opportunity to win easily.

(A/N: Like when Schalt lost a chess game with only two moves.)

After that, he won each game with more and more moves as they analyzed his pattern and tried to counter it, but he was letting them analyze his pattern and get used to it before completely changing it and confusing them at the same time. And like that, he was known by the camp as someone strong, smart, kind, and ruthless...

A Beast that would only bare his teeth to those he didn't trust or didn't like.
