Which Class?

Arthur was surprised at how much he remembered about being a barista. There were so many drinks and different preparing techniques that he feared he wouldn't remember them all but he was pleasantly surprised.

As he took orders and prepared all the different drinks, his mind constantly focused on his plan for dominating Solistia Online.

In between the breaks of serving customers, he would sit down behind the counter and began to jot down all the things that he wanted to accomplish first.

The main thing that he wanted to focus on in the beginning was securing the quest line for the most powerful hidden subclass in the game.

In Solistia online, there are three main classes:

-Mage

-Sword master

-Hunter

In these three classes there also a number of subclasses and hidden subclasses that can be unlocked as you level up. It was these hidden subclasses that really changed the changed the hierarchy within the game. If you choose the wrong subclass, it could be the difference between becoming one of the strongest players of the game or one of the weakest.

And it was this exact reason that Arthur wanted to secure the most powerful hidden subclass before anyone else could. If he managed to secure the subclass then the future of the game for him would be set.

"You're working awfully hard today, Art." His manager, Shelly, said suspiciously. "Are you feeling alright?"

"Are you that shocked at me doing well at my job?" Arthur laughed and tucked the scribbled note into his pocket before beginning to clean up the counter.

"It's just that you seem different to how you normally act, that's all." Shelly said as she counted up the money from the till. "Not that I'm complaining or anything, if you want to keep working hard like this then please do."

"I'll try my best, boss." Arthur laughed again and then looked up to see Lance approaching them.

"Boss, do you know how beautiful you look today?" Lance sighed dreamily as he leant against the counter. "Did I also mention that you're the best boss in the world?"

"What do you want Lance? Stop spouting nonsense and just tell me." Shelly sighed and Lance laughed sheepishly.

"Well, there's this game that's coming out today and I was wondering if me and Arthur could leave early so we don't have to queue up for too long outside of the store." Lance explained and excitement fluttered in Arthur's stomach again and the mention of Solistia Online.

"Fine, but I'm only letting you go because Art worked so hard today.." Shelly waved them away and Lance and Arthur quickly scurried out the door before she could change her mind.

Arthur smiled as he looked back up at the café, in the past he had taken advantage of such a great job because he deemed it an embarrassing place to work out. Why was he so naive back then? The hourly wage was great, the workers and customers were all kind and polite and he even got to work alongside his best friend. He remembered how rudely he quit this job when he began to make a little money from Solistia online. He now cursed his younger self for being so arrogant.

"I wasn't able to even think straight today in work because of this game!" Lance said excitedly as they made their way to the shopping centre. "Can you believe the game we have waited for for so long is finally coming out?!"

"Tell me about it." Arthur agreed, his hand automatically going down to hover over the pocket where the note was placed in. "Waiting until the servers open at midnight is going to be torturous."

It was like a countdown to a race, as soon as it hit midnight he would be scrambling through the game to get to the right location. If he could get ahold of this hidden subclass first, it would give him a huge benefit into achieving all of the other things he would hope to do later on in the game.

He needed it.

"Shit." Lance groaned as the entered the shopping centre and saw the long line of people eagerly waiting to get their gaming headset. "It looks like it's gonna take hours before we get our headsets."

"It's fine." Arthur patted Lance's back encouragingly as they joined the back of the queue. "The game isn't released until midnight anyway."

"I know, but still." Lance grumbled and Arthur laughed at his gloomy looking friend.

"So what class are you going to choose?" Arthur asked after a moment, trying to distract Lance.

"A Hunter, of course!" Lance said brightly, glad to be talking about the game. "Apparently there is a subclass that allows a Hunter to summon beasts to help in battle! How awesome is that?!"

Lance played as a hunter before too and he got to a really high level before he died. Arthur remembered how fast Lance adapted to the Hunters mechanics and was noticed a lot as one of the leading Hunter Players in the beginning of the game.

He remembered at how embarrassing it took for himself to learn how to wield a sword. Of course after ten years, he had to admit he was pretty adapt at handling a blade, but he was always jealous of Lance's talent.

Lance continued to talk about how awesome the Hunter class would be and Arthur couldn't help but stare at his friend contently. How easy it seemed now to be able to look and talk to his friend that had been so cruelly taken from him before.

Even if he failed at dominating the game like he planned, him combing back to the past was worth it just being able to be with his brother again.

"What about you? What class are you going to pick?" Lance asked, snapping Arthur back from his thoughts.

"I'm going to choose the most badass class of them all," Arthur grinned. "I'm going to be a sword master."
