Chapter 46

  Everyone sits quietly as all of their eyes are on me and the person sitting in front of me. I can see their calculating looks as well as anger from what had just happened in the foyer. I have my hands folded as I stare at the woman that looks like she wants the floor to open up and swallow her. My mother would be tapping her nails on the desk and my father would be doing almost the same thing but also tapping his foot if they were in my position. It is a scare tactic that my parents would use on us when we were in trouble. The scariest thing is when you know you are in trouble and the person mad at you is silent. 

  Kelsey looks around the room, avoiding eye contact with me before she finally cracks. "Will you please say something?"
