Chapter 36

Huxley is pacing the living room as we wait for the arrival of Don Vladimir and his entourage. Some might think that his pacing is from nervousness but I know that it is from being on high alert. My parents are sitting together on the loveseat with calm expressions. Emily went home right after she and Megan dressed me up like their own living Barbie doll. Jaxon, Megan, and Grayson are all sitting on the other couch with alert demeanors. Christopher is sitting beside me with Tucker on his lap with my hand in his. He is still acting funny from last night and I just hope my hunch is wrong about what is about to happen.

The doorbell rings after what seemed like hours and we see Draco walk past with Shaun to answer the door. A moment passes before he appears in the doorway and clears his throat. "Don Vladimir Ivanov and his family are here," he states as he looks over at my parents. We all stand up and Christopher shifts Tucker to his hip.
