Chapter 14

The ambulance pulls out of the driveway with Zara and Hendricks inside. The paramedics told me that she passed out from blood loss and Hendricks has a mild concussion but they both should be fine. As soon as the sirens blared when they turned onto the road, I turn and walk in to get my gear as well as get out of this dress. I'm getting my son back tonight. I walk straight to the secret passage that sits in the wall under the stairs as Grayson is on the phone with dad. The passage is a set of stairs that leads to a titanium door that is only opened by a handprint and retina scanner. My dad had this added to the blueprints of the build of the house but later had it removed so that it stayed a secret the same day the house was finished.

Placing my hand on the scanner and looking into the camera looking device above it, the door clicks open. I walk in as the lights automatically turn on and start grabbing gear from my section of the room. Pulling the pants on under my dress and the black shirt over the top, I reach back to unzip the dress but my hands don't reach the zipper. I start to look around the room for something to help me when I feel it unzip. Turning around, Megan gives me a half smile and I notice that she had the same idea as me. My dress drops to the floor and I help her with her zipper as the guys walk in. We both pick up the dresses and place them in the bin to the side to either be cleaned or thrown away. Mine will have to be thrown because it has blood all over the front of the skirt now.

"Mom and dad are on their way," Grayson says as he pulls on his vest.

I give a stiff nod as I go to the weapons vault and start pulling out what I will need. The first thing I pull out is my throwing knives and holsters. I have two calf holsters that they are placed in as well as a hip holster. Putting them on, I reach for my non lethal weapons. These consist of sleeping darts, smoke grenades, and flash bang grenades. These are seated on my utility belt that also hold a holster for my taser and one for handguns. After I put my weapons belt on, the last thing I grab are my guns. One of them goes into my belt and two others go in my thigh holsters. My vest goes on last before I turn to see everyone else finishing up as well.

Without saying a word I grab the duffel bag full of extra weapons and ammo as I leave the room. The sound of footsteps following me tells me the others are right behind me. Draco is getting out of the black SUV we are taking when I walk out and he takes the bag from me. As we put the gear in the back, my parents car pulls up to the house followed by another. My parents get out and run over to me when they see me at the back with Draco.

"We came as soon as Grayson called. Have you got any leads yet?" Dad asks. I pull my phone out and turn on my tracker app. When Tucker was born, my mom and I had a pendant made for him that has a tracker inside of it. As a baby it was on his pacifier then it was on a bracelet, and now it is on a necklace. He wears it everyday because he loves it.

The tracker is locating the gps ping when I hear someone approaching. Looking up, I see Christopher walking towards us. I look at my parents and say, "I didn't know we were having company."

They both turn around and I hear my dad swear under his breath. Dad turns back to me and says "He asked to come with us after hearing some of the call with Grayson. He said that he wanted to make sure you were ok even though he doesn't know what's wrong."

I look back at Christopher and see him looking at the arsenal on me. My phone dings and I look down to see that Tuckers location has been located. "The tracker says that he is at 19655 Hilton Drive."

My brothers and Megan start getting the last of our gear in the car when Christopher gets to us. "Why are you going to Chelsea's old house?"

We all freeze at his words and I slowly turn around to face him. "Want to run that by me again?" I ask. Christopher looks at me concerned.

"19655 Hilton Drive is Chelsea's old house that she lived in as a kid. The reason I know this is because I had a PI do some digging on her," he says as he steps closer.

I look at my dad as I grit my teeth. He nods his head at me but his eyes convey that he wants me to calm down. "I'm going to fucking kill her," I say through gritted teeth. I turn to go to the front seat when I'm stopped by a hand. Christopher gets in front of me, stopping me from getting to the door.

"I know that you hate her guts, but you don't have to kill her because she was rude," he say as he steps to the side to keep me from passing him.

"Move Christopher," I tell him. He is wasting time on saving Tucker.

"No, I will not let you kill her because of jealousy. There's better ways to do this," he says firmly.

"Move," I say with a sternness he has never heard from me. I don't want to have to pull my gun on him to get my point across. My brothers are standing at the ready to help me move him out of the way if need be.

"No," he says as he plants his feet.

I pull my gun from its holster on my hip and point it at him. "I don't have time for your stupid games. Your mistress has my son and you are wasting my time that should be going to getting him back. Now move," I yell at him. He looks at my gun before stepping to the side. I hop into the front seat and put the address in when the back door opens.

"I'm coming with you," Christopher states as he puts his seatbelt on.

I want to tell him to get out but I have bigger issues than to argue with him. I nod at Draco to go and he takes off.

"When we get to our destination, non lethal unless necessary. If he is under guard, definitely use non lethal unless absolutely necessary. I don't want him to have worse nightmares than he will already have," I tell everyone. I get firm nods in response

Christopher looks at me funny in the mirror but I just ignore him. I see Jaxon hand him a gun and a vest that he makes him out on. Christopher looks confused but does it anyway.

We pull onto the road that Tuckers location is pinging on and we drive by to do an initial scope of the place. I see two guys out front and a light is on upstairs. Anxiety starts to make its appearance but I push it back.

Draco parks the SUV down the street a few houses and we get out. Reaching in my bag, I pull out a comms unit for Christopher to use. "Put this in and stay with one of us. Don't stray off or we can't protect you."

"What about you? Who will protect you?" He asks as he puts the comms in his left ear.

I look him dead in the eyes before telling him "I don't need protecting" and turn to make my way towards the house. We get to the house next door to the one Tucker is in and see one of the tenants come out. Megan quickly goes over and tells them that they need to go inside. The woman asks who we were and she told them the cops which is a normal answer for us on that question. The couple goes inside and locks their door.

Using their hedge as cover, I make Christopher duck down beside me so he doesn't give us away. All I want to do is storm the house to get my world back but I have to do this smart. I give the hand signal for Grayson and Jaxon to take out the guards outside. Huxley pulls out the heat signature device and reads the house. "Only one person with him upstairs outside of the door."

After the two guards outside are down for the count, we sneak in the door as the other comes around the corner. I immediately swing my foot out and knock him down before punching him to knock him out. He was easy to knock out since he looks like he hasn't worked out a day in his life. Christopher is looking at me impressed as I stand up. Not wasting anymore time, I head up the stairs as quiet as possible. Before I get to the top, I turn and sign to the guys that we need one of them for questioning. Jaxon and Megan head down to cuff one of them to transport.

I peep over the edge of the floor and see a person outside of the only closed door. They seem to be playing on their phone and not paying attention since they didn't come running to help their friend downstairs. I reach down and grab my dart gun and shoot him with a sleeping dart. He falls to the floor with a thud before I run up the stairs. I open the door he was guarding but don't see anyone in the room.

"Tucker?" I ask out loud. I see Christopher's head whip to face me when I say his name but I don't care at this moment. "Tucker, are you in here? It's mommy. I'm here to take you home."

"Momma?" I hear come from the closet. My eyes find his blue ones before he runs to me. I immediately drop to my knees as I throw my arms around his tiny body. "Momma, I was so scared. They hurt Zara and Hendricks. I was told to come with them or they would hurt them more. They said I would never see you again!" Tucker says as he try's not to cry.

"Zara and Hendricks are fine and at the hospital. The bad guys can't hurt you anymore. No one in this world would ever keep me from you. I will always find you no matter what," I say and kiss his forehead.

"Can we go home now?" He asks me as I stand up.

"Yes, my prince. We are going home," I tell him before I lead him to the SUV that Draco brought to the front of the house to put the prisoner in the back. I get in the front seat and place Tucker in my lap with my arms around him. Christopher won't take his eyes off of us the whole way home.

"So this whole time, Tucker was your son and not a boyfriend?" Christopher asks as he looks at Tucker.

Tucker chooses now to notice the unfamiliar face in the car and sits up to look at me. "Momma, I told you no boys. I knew I should have made you change that dress."

We all chuckle at him as he looks at us all with a serious face. "And I followed your rule for me to go out tonight. Mr. Lane here wanted to tag along with us to help get you back to me," I tell him as I give him a boop on the nose with my pointer finger. He giggles before laying his head on my chest.

"I will answer that after I get him home," I tell Christopher. He nods his head but is still staring at Tucker and I.

When we pull into the driveway, I see my parents outside waiting on us. No sooner than I got out with Tuck still in my arms, my parents engulf us in a hug. Tuck wants his grandma to take him to get a drink and some food so they head inside. Megan and my brothers get out but stick around because Christopher is still here. Dad gives me a almost unnoticeable nod before he walks inside.

I turn my head slightly towards Christopher. "Follow me." We make our way inside and down the hall to the office. I walk in and go to the desk to have a seat in my dads chair as Christopher takes a seat in front of me. Huxley, being the protective brother he is, takes the seat beside him as the others sit on the couches by the fireplace.

"Now is the time to ask your questions because you might not get the chance to later," I state as I place my arms on the desk.

"You've changed since I last saw you," Christopher says as he looks at me a mixture of intrigue and proudness.

"Honestly, I am back to my normal self. I didn't realize how much I changed myself to fit into your lifestyle," I tell him as I start to play with my dad's favorite pen.

"It's not much different than this. How is it different from this place?" Christopher asks as he sits back.

I look at Huxley as my eyes ask the silent question. He glances at the others who nod and I have my answer. Looking back at Christopher, I gear up to tell him the truth. "Well, it's different in many ways but one of them is a major difference." For some reason I decided to also talk with my hands during this and this decision caused Christopher to see my tattoo.

"Where did you get that tattoo?" He asks as he points at my wrist. I glance down before I cover it back up. The others stiffened at his question but relax at what I tell him.

"I got it a while ago but that's not what we are talking about," I tell him. "You asked me earlier about Tucker being my son. He is. He is my world and I will take out anyone who threatens to take that world from me."

Christopher looks at me in confusion as he thinks about what I am saying. "If you murder people in the process then you will be imprisoned."

I just look at him with a smirk. "Actually no, I won't."

"What makes you say that? Because your dad is the most famous man in Nashville?" Christopher asks a little to accusingly.

One look at the others keeps them seated but on the edge of their seat. I hit the record button on the side of the desk so I have proof of his confirmation he's about to do. "No, that's not why. What I'm about to tell you is to remain a secret, got it?" I ask him.

"Yes, I won't tell anyone else what is said in here," he says before nodding for me to continue.

"My parents are ex-agents. My brothers and I have been training since we could walk in the art of espionage," I start off. Christopher is looking at me in concentration as I tell him this. "The both started a 'security' company that the government used. This, of course, is also a company where we extract hostages." I look at his face for a reaction after the last part of my sentence.

Christopher looks deep in thought at first but his eyes widen as the realization hit him. "Wait, it was you all who rescued me?"

I nod my head at him and he looks at everyone of us. "Yes that was us. I will say that it was intriguing that you thought I would stoop to the level of having you kidnapped and beat."

"Now I know where I saw that tattoo before. You were the one who got shot," he says as his eyes go to my perfectly fine shoulder.

"That was me," I confirm. "Is there any other questions?"

"Why are you after Chelsea?" He asks. This time my brothers did stand up in anger. After all I just said, his question is about that home-wrecker.

"Because she killed my daughter," I tell him in tone that was void of emotion.
