Coming of age ceremony to level up?

Debs reply was short and sweet and I almost laughed at how simple she made it sound, even though I knew in my heart it wasn't.

Deb can you tell me what the coming of age ceremony is, and what will happen?

Your kidding me? So I had to be of a higher level to know an answer to something that will unlock my higher levels? Why don't you just simply say that you didn't want to tell me, jeesh.

My Detection went off and I swung my head around to see my dad approaching me stealthily. "Not bad, although you still noticed until I was within 3ft from you." He admonished gently while purring with happiness that I had caught him nonetheless. "Today is the coming of age ceremony for all the young cubs in the village, after today you will all be allowed to go hunt in the forest of Drakemere to prove yourselves as warriors. You know what that means?" He crouches down to my eye level so that I could see how serious he was about this. "It means my little Tabrizia that after this you will evolve into an adult where not only you'll get your wings but your Titles and Class as well. It's a big step for a young Hellcats life. I need you to be mentally prepared for this, because we can not help you in your trial after the ceremony. You will be left alone in Drakemere Forest for a month. You must survive with what we taught you."

My mind started spiraling with the overflow of information. So they were going to leave a bunch of cubs in the Drakemere Forest, a dangerous forest with lots of beasts and magical monsters, alone for a month? How harsh had their lives must have been to get to this point? I know it's survival of the fittest, and I know the that the Hellcat race was rare, was it because of the conditions they set to become warriors at such a young age? Was it because in the past we were pushed to almost extinction? I had so many questions, but I knew both Deb and my Father were not going to answer them. At least not yet.

"I know that look little one, you want to ask me something yes?" He teased gently as he stood up, "unfortunately that is all the information I can give you. We have spent six years training you for this, your ready. If not..." here he paused and looked grim. " Then the fault lies with us as parents and we will do better with our next brood. That is our way of life." Turning away he left me standing there looking at his broad back that was littered with battle scars.

I got this dad. I hope I added silently in my heart as I hurried to catch up with him.
