Chapter 8: Zack returns back to school

Last night Zack told me about "The Unknowns" and I'm still wrecking my brain in search for answers. Zack had to return back to Uni today and he'll only be coming home in about 2 months' time. It's going to be really boring without him, but he did promise to face - time us every second day and that's what's going to keep me going.

Since he has to leave, we spoke approximately an hour " about The Unknowns " and where they situated. Apparently, they are situated three towns away from us and it will take them a week to actually get here if they ever find out about me because they prefer driving than actually flying to different locations in search of twin siblings in order to attract less attention as their dress code always gives them away.

" Wai you're going to have to be extra careful about your daily occupations okay " he sternly told me.

" Okay Zack, will make sure I do so" I replied shortly afterwards.

" And if you notice anything unusual, what are you going to do?" He questioned me.

" Pick my phone up, go to speed dial and ring your line " I repeated the lines which he had just told me about 30 mins ago.

" That's ma Lil sis " he sang out loud causing a smile to erupt on my face.

" Wait, you never told me why you suddenly chose to study Biokinetics, I thought you always loved Mechanics and anything to do with metals," I voiced out my words. I've been wanting to ask him, but I didn't want to scare him away with my question that's why I waited this long.

He gave me a soft knowing smile before speaking, "I don't know if you can remember but a couple of years before Dad left us, you must have been around the age of 5 and I was 7, Dad met up in an accident as well and had broken his left ankle bone and so he couldn't move for about a whole 2 months because his wound was still healing. Anyways I made a promise to one day study something in the medical field concerned with helping people move about on their own once they have met up in an accident. Biokinetics is like becoming a professional personal trainer sooo yea, that's what I'm currently doing Lil sis " he finished off and I was content with his answer, but I still had other questions for him.

" So, dad left when I was around the age of 5! But how come I was seen with Dad and Zaiba around the age of 17 and how did mum conceive Colt?" I asked him really confused this time around.

He looked at me for quite some time before speaking up, " Don't get me wrong, our father adored us so much and that's why he had to cut off contact with us for a very long time and reappear once again. You see, Mum and Dad were still in contact for all these years, and they would only meet once in a blue moon so I suppose that's how Colt was conceived but he never came within close range to our home because he was scared" they " would know about it and come looking for you. When Dad left, he already had another women whom he had met when he found out for the very first time about these people and when this women gave birth , Dad could see the spitting image between you and Zaiba matching so identically that he had to meet Mother and tell her all about these people and their agenda and the reasons why he had to leave but I don't know that part . I'm not sure how Dad got to know about these people " he finished off, but I was still not satisfied and so I through another question at him.

" So, dad knew about " the Unknowns" and that they were going to come for me and that's only because our step - sister had the exact same features as I did? ...wait hold up dude, how do you know all of this if you were only 7 when Dad left? And perhaps that's the reason why he had to go undercover and not make himself known to us to get rid of the attachment we had with him, yet he passed on without us having to see him " I finished off feeling all gloomy and blue all of a sudden.

" Dad tried reaching out to me around the same time when he came to take you and Zaiba for an outing. He had to do it without Mum's knowledge and so I offered to help but he had to explain to me why he left first so that's how I know and yes, you're right Wai. Now, if you happen to remember anything please don't forget to let me know okay " he spoke up and I just nodded my head, taking in all the information that he had just told me.

We said our goodbyes and Zack was on his way to Uni for the next 2 months or so.

As soon as he left, I went up to my room for some time alone just so I could reflect on the information I had just received from Zack. Upon reaching for my door, I tripped on my plush room carpet and had yet another migraine and by now I knew what was going to happen soon. " A snippet was soon due " I'm beginning to detest this gift or whatever you call it because it brings me pain and worst of all I get freaking migraines each time I'm about to receive a snippet but, if it's the only way in order for me to get to the bottom of this Unknown stuff, then so be it.

I tried standing up, but I couldn't, only to fall back into a huge black whole of darkness and there stood a man - the same man who was seen speaking to mum in my previous snippet. He was dressed in a white lab coat and so were the people around him as they all spoke in what seemed to be a "colleagues discussion."

A very lean man with his reading glasses resting on his nose spoke up first, " So Christian has really gone this far with his experiment " he said shaking his head.

Another man not so lean, he had some meat on him spoke up this time, " We have to stop him! He can't do this to those poor families out there. Imagine what they must be going through at this moment. Living in fear knowing very well that their twin daughters will soon be part of an experiment " he said looking at the third man who happened to look like an older version of Zack with the same brunette afro curls that he and Colt have. I almost gasped when I saw the beauty spot on his right cheekbone, just like the one I have. I had his hazel eyes and round face while the boys had his hair, and I just couldn't believe that I had just seen my father.

The lean man spoke up this time addressing my father, " Caleb, you seem so out of it, is everything okay?"

My father than replied, " yes, I just need to get home as soon as possible. I forgot I had a meeting with my wife Isabella " he concluded as he took his phone out and dialed my mother's line and the caller ID popped up as Zack and I hugging each other while grinning away. I looked around the age of 5 and Zack must have been 7 by then and just like that I was pulled out of the darkness and brought back to the reality of my room.

Sooo Mr. Taylor's actually worked for " The Unknowns " and we've learnt that the main guy is " Christian."

What does this mean for Waiba ?

Do you guys think she's regaining her memory or something else is going on with her because think about it ...Waiba was not present when this "colleagues discussion "took place yet she received a snippet about it ...
