Well, things really could have gone better.

Oh well, not like I had been expecting Aultcray to be sensible, pretty sure he is biologically incapable of not being an idiot anyway.

Quick recap, my name is Naofumi Iwatani. Or at least it is now. I used to be a regular high functioning sociopath in the past before I died and got recruited by a multiversal slavery company who were willing to give me a second shot at life if I accepted a mission that nobody else wanted to accept. I kinda understood why when I saw the details, who would want to be the Shield Hero with mind control powers that would not work on the bitch princess Malty and the other heroes and still had to save the world from dimensional monster waves along with their own incompetence.

Unfortunately I kinda wanted this second life thingy so I accepted the stupid mission and ended up here in this kingdom of idiots called Melromarc.

And a few minutes ago, I was thrown out of a courtroom after being falsely accused of rape by the king's daughter posing as an adventurer so that her dumb daddy could get off on his hate boner.

At start I had thought that maybe I should try to do something so that they couldn't actually do this shit to me but then I realized, it was more or less impossible. Or maybe it wasn't and I was just too dumb to find a solution, who knows.

What mattered at the moment was that I allowed them to do their stupid sham of a trial and then left the castle all the while just saying that I was innocent much like the canon Naofumi had done. It would be weird if I said nothing after all.

Now, I was in my little subspace that I had bought from the catalog and looking through my options.

I kinda wished to just buy a high end tier nine waifu and then have her conquer this whole world for me but unfortunately, the parameters of the mission would cause any waifu I bought to become level one. Meaning that they wouldn't be as strong as they should be and that I should have them get stronger. This mission was brutal.

No, what I needed at the moment were strong waifus who were fifth or sixth tier, then equip them with templates and have them level up. I was the Shield Hero with a Aethermoroh heritage, so the ones I summon should also bring a certain power system to the table; which when combined with the template I had for myself...

"Hehehe."

...this world would have no idea what hit it.

Getting off topic, what I needed now was competent people that I could use by my side. Sure, my Tempest Jewelry absorbed into the Shield could change someone mentally but I kinda feel like that would be a waste. Especially since I could just choose people I wouldn't need to change by my side.

Fun fact, the waifus one can buy from Catalog were not simply their canon compliant versions and their clones. No, Waifu Catalog was a multiversal company; meaning that there were also variants of these characters with some different values and different way of thought. And the catalog told me all about them.

Finally, I decided on four who had... less than nice views when it came to life, making them more willing to aid me without any interference.

In this world, a party could have any number of people but when the number exceeded six, there would be a penalty to the experience one would gather. So, I bought four waifus with each being exceptional in their own right but also not too pricy.

"Hello there." I said with a smile as I looked at the four women before me.

Winter Schnee, from RWBY, a young woman in white military clothes with white hair tied in a bun while having bangs on the right side of her face.

Evileye, from Overlord, a rather... petite... no practically looking like a kid wearing a red cloak around her, golden blonde hair and a mask on her face that hid red vampiric eyes.

Tashigi, from One Piece, a bespectacled young woman wearing a button up shirt with flower patterns on it and a sword strapped to her thigh.

Senju Tsunade, from Naruto, a blonde woman who had her hair in two ponytails with a purple diamond mark on her forehead and very impressive... assets.

"Now then, anyone who has questions?" All of them did, that was a shocker.

"I feel like we have been summoned for a suicide mission, I thought I wouldn't do those anymore after leaving that rotten village." Senju Tsunade, newly purchased waifu, said as she rubbed her temples.

She already knew that there was something wrong when she had been summoned so weak, but she hadn't been expecting to be summoned by a guy who took a real stupid mission. A thought that seemed to be shared by the other three he had summoned as well.

"Nah, we can actually work this out. It just will be ridiculously long and made harder by the people we are supposed to protect because they are idiots." And the guy actually had the gall to laugh at them.

"Why us?" The laughter stopped as the most petite of them spoke for the first time.

"If it was simply a matter of saving credits, then there were others you could have bought. I don't think that you are completely thinking with your dick, so there must be a reason for you to summon us four in particular. Isn't there, master?" The masked girl said with a tilt of her head and their summoner smiled.

"First of all, call me Naofumi, it's my name now so I might as well use it. And to answer your question, you are right. I didn't summon you four simply because how hot each of you are, I can't afford to be that stupid in a world like this while I am literally level one." Naofumi shook his head.

"I summoned you four because each of you possess a different type of power system I should be able to use, I need every way to get stronger. Not to mention your own skills, you might be level one at the moment but you all still have something I want and certain plans with you." He said with a smile, at least he was honest.

"Now then, if there are no other questions, let's get you all your first power up before we go out to level up. There is a whole world of idiots to save and the easiest way to do so is being strong." He said with a manic grin as he beckoned all of them to get closer, talking to them about the templates he wanted to give them.
